Does this piece of crap not have the option to download .doc or .docx attachments? With my Incredible I can click the attachment and it downloads it automatically. This thing tries to open it instead of download it. Any thoughts on this?

Just have a quick question: whenever I download zip files from all....droid(specially the theme files etc) using dolphin browser it asks me to save as "file.php". I usually download it on to my computer and unzip it prior to moving it to my sd card.Tried renaming the .php file to .zip once its downloaded onto the sd card. Problem is that trying to access it gives me an error message. When I do it from a PC it works fine though.

The problem is I have several hundred pictures which means that I have to cycle through all of them. Is there a easier way to pick/view the files? Right now the pictures I'm trying to find are in a different folder than the other pics.

View 19 Replies View Relatedi am updating an app i developed so that it downloads xml files it needs for content management. the files download successfully to the emulator but are not placed in the /files directory that openFileInput() is attempting to read from. i am admittedly unsure as to the proper overall solution here - app originally used packaged XML and was fed to an XMLPullParser - but i cant even get as far as attempting to parse new XML at present because my app cant find the new file sitting in /data/data/[myApp]/ and not /data/data/ [myApp]/files and i cant figure out how to get it in there. the download doesnt work at all if i add that folder to path.e.

Nothing has changed in my settings / haven't installed anything new in the past few days but gmail isn't downloading new messages automatically. I can open the gmail app and manually sync it and new messages will show up but outside of that there is nothing doing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with downloading files from hosting sites such as rapidgator, hellshare etc. On default browser and on Google Chrome files aren't downloading at all or there is downloaded a file which has for example 26kb or so, while I am trying to download files about 400-700mb. On Opera Mobile the files are downloading, but if I will minimize the browser and start any other app, the downloading process is stopped. I am really surprised with that because a few months ago I also had HTC Desire Z and I could've download any file with the stock browser and. while downloading, check any app I wanted.
I have Asus Transformer Pad 300 with Android ICS (newest update). When I download files about 10mb everything is ok, so I assume it's the size problem or maybe file extension, but I tried the app called All files download (or something like that) which has been recommended in a similar post (but that user had SGS3) and it didn't worked either.
I'm having troubles with Gmail POP server on my HTC Magic.I can send and receive emails from the Magic, but it won't download the emails that are already in the Gmail inbox.I have set up the Gmail account to enable POP for all mail, not just new messages.What am I missing?

Then I remembered that being in the UK I had recently taken advantage of changing my email from googlemail to gmail, although I had changed this in my mail on the phone it seemed to upset the marketplace downloads
Changed it back to googlemail and all works fine.
I accessed my Google Play account from my daughters phone, to download an app for her. I unticked the option to automatically download emails (or something similar).
But, she's getting all my GMails automatically downloaded onto her phone.Where do I go to change the configuration - so the only place my GMails go is my phone?
Recently got issue with Gmail, that whenever I try to download an attachment, when the download is finished I get :
"Unfortunately , Gmail has stoped"
I tried:
- clear cache & dalvik
- clear settings
- remove app preferences
- uninstall (TB) and download from play store again
- remove account and setting account again
Attachements are correctly downloaded.it crashes just after download.
I uploaded about 50 pictures from iPhoto (using a Mac) just to see what they looked like and then later formatted the Droid's SD card, so the pictures were no longer there.
Now, if I mount the Droid via USB and view the file structure there is a folder named /albumthumbs which contains 50 files, presumably for the 50 pictures a had on the SD card.
To me, these file, unless linking to actual photos stored on the SD card, take up extra space in the phone's memory (not worried about the SD card). I wonder if I can safely delete them (just the files...not the folder)?
Some have complained about not being able to change the LED or get repeat notifications for gmail. I stumbled on this last night and thought I would share. I haven't tried it and make no claims to its greatness.Gmail Notifier.It lets you change the color of the LED, vibration length, and gives repeat notifications. It also works for multiple gmail accounts I believe.

For instance contact #1 has a gmail account I can see the picture that they update on their gmail account and statuses but contact #2 doesn't show anything from there gmail account. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy mother has an Asus Transformer, and she's had it for awhile, but she doesn't use it for much other than getting e-mails or video chats. I turned it on today and it suddenly downloaded a bunch of files. Mahjong.exe, Bubble_Hit_brch.exe, 7-superfoods-to-boost-your-immunity.pdf, etc. Small files, less than 1MB per file. There were about a dozen files in her downloads folder, a few of which had "-1" after it so it had downloaded some of them twice now.
I've Googled the filenames, Google "downloading files at random", "downloading unwanted files", etc., etc. I installed three different virus scanners and they found nothing. I believe her when she says she doesn't download anything or install anything.
I have not had any luck previwing or downloading attachements using the google app. I try to view a simple jpg, ppt, or mp4 but the phone gets stuck at fetching attachment. Does the SD card need to be formatted under android for it to work properly? I just took it out of my windows mobile and popped it straight into the hero.

Does anyone know how to get this to work so I can compose a new email on my Droid to send to the group?I do not have this Group set up under my contacts, but it is a group created in Gmail.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi just downloaded the speedtest app and i am curious if my speeds are average or sub par. my results are as follows:
down: .21mbps
up: .49mbps
ping: 189ms
i ran my taskiller to kill other apps thinking it would speed my rates up but no real improvements. the funny thing is if i tether my phone via easytether and run the speedtest on my laptop my rates jump to over 1 full mbps. not sure why though
For some reason earlier today I was able to update an app then somone made a suggestion to try a keyboard app when I went to download it, it would just keep cycling I tried downloading something completely different and update another app and it's doing the something. I have done a couple of battery pulls, resets, and cleared the data from the app market by going thru setting(googled that one). Does anyone have any suggestions what to do next or what maybe causing it?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI was having problems viewing attachments on my exchange email, for about 2 weeks contacted IT department they have no clue. last night and all day today i was able to view them using the stock quick office. just received a couple emails with attachments and guess what i can no longer view them. tried with and with out wifi turned on and off, no dice. the server is running exchange 2003 i receive and send emails fine. just can't view attachments.also calendar syncs. could it be a bad app? all though i have not downloaded any for weeks now.
