Nov 11, 2009I use windows media player to manage my music and make playlists. I have no problem syncing music to my device. What I want is a way to make playlists for my music from the computer instead of the tedious methods available on the handset. To clarify: by "playlist" I do not mean that I want to set up a specific group of music to sync instead of syncing all my music every time. I mean playlist in the same way the word is used in the built in Android media player. If it makes a difference my device is the Droid.

Mar 4, 2010I have encoded several videos to mp4. All of these videos played fine on on my phone until yesterday. Now none of them will play correctly. The default video player says "The video could not be played" and Act 1 says "Video is falling behind audio. It may be too much data for your phone to process, or may not be supported by Android" What gives? They play correctly on my wife's droid. I haven't downloaded any new apps since they played correctly. I have killed all apps to make sure I have enough memory. What could have changed? I have followed the instructions given on the forums to encode video to a T.

Aug 28, 2009I never used an android phone before and i'm thinking to get myself a samung galaxy, but before that I'd like to know a couple of things concerning video playback on android. First of all, is there any way to play DIVX and XVID on an android phone WITHOUT converting? Do you need some particular paid application from the market or you can do it with the default player? How much this application would cost?
Another question: lot of my movies are quite big in resolution (you know the normal size that you use for pc's). Is there any need of resizing the movie to let it play on an android phone? I used to have a samsung omnia (rip); winmo sucked badly but it can play any video at almost any resolution very smoothly with free players also.
Media :: Since 2.2 Phone Won't Play Video's
Oct 19, 2010Since the 2.2 update for most phones, I've noticed that my 2.1 (Samsung Moment) won't stream video's now. Before video's would stream over my connection, however 2.2 comes out and know I keep getting error's or programs just shut down. Is this just a case of host programs switching to the new android format?

Jul 11, 2010Can't play embeded video from any web pages on my HTC Desire. BBC site said i needed to download the correct version of flash player from Adobe. Adobe support stated that 'flash player for the operating system or browser' in not available as it only supports Google Nexus One.Its a 2 day old Desire so me thinks there may be a problem with the Desire or more likely i have been a bif and missed something.Apologies if this has been covered else where in the forums but the search didn't throw up anything useful and i was losing the will to live ploughing through page after page.

Sep 9, 2010I am running a version of pl3x on my Moto Droid. I am not able to play any video (even youtube via the app). I have tried both the main player and kmplayer. I actually first noticed this earlier today when trying to play a video on youtube (it worked yesterday). I have run into this in the past and wrote it off as the rom (I do not remember which one I was running at the time) but restoring from an old backup followed by install of pl3x fixed it. I am really looking for an option other than flashing my phone again since it seems to happen multiple times on multiple roms.

Jun 24, 2010I'm looking to make the plunge to Droid now that the new Droid X is announced but I'm still researching.I was looking on the web and I see some software to convert DVD's to formats so that they can be played on the Droid.Can anyone that does this give me an estimate as to how big the file size is when a DVD is converted? I realize that the quality can be changed which will affect the file size, but I'm trying to figure out about how many dvd's I could fit onto a 16gb card.

Oct 23, 2010Crap, i tried dropping a large hd quality movie on the fascinate today and it said video size to large. Does anybody know what the max video file size is? 2 or 4 gb's? I got it to work well using a 848x480 ratio with avs converter, but it was only a 2 minute clip of the movie I want to drop on the movie ironman 2 that is 6.71gb from a blu ray.
