I have downloaded Funny Sms Tones from Android Marked! I have set a tone to notification, but it is always my previous tone that is "biiping"! I have tried several times, with severeal tones, but its always my original tone that "biips"!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the Android Software and just purchased the Samsung Captive. I was needing to know, can you have full songs as rings tones when receiving incoming calls. I was able to with my bb bold and it was easy.. But Im having trouble trying to figure it out. just when I think I got it my songs are listed in settings -sounds & display- under notification ring tone and not under my voice call ring tone in sounds & display settings. if anyone can direct me on the "how to process" I'd really appreciate it.

It allows you to easily download music, photos, and more either on your phone or onto your computer from your phone. It also allows you to create ring tones and send them to your phone. Its like itunes for the iphone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHave the phone. Went through all the fun of finding my own prefered ring tone - well I made it from a song, and another ring tone for other uses.
Set them up, set the "Message" tone, set the alarm tone and all was good.
It wasn't long after that I bought a SANDISC8 gig SD card.
Coppied ALL files over and swapped the cards.
I am not sure exactly WHEN the problem started, but it still exists.
Now and then the phone is in my pocket and it starts making a sound. It isn't one I selected, so ignore it until it becomes obvious it is mine as no-one else is talking on their phone.
I look and it is a message/phone call/alarm.
They are NOT the ones I set. So I go through the process of seting them back to what I like.
Someone says it could be a dicky SD card. I shall test that soon by putting back the original one and seeing what happens. The only problem with that is that it is SO INTERMITANT that it is hard to know if it is or not really the problem.
In the root of your SD card create the following folders
Notifications
Ringtones
Alarms
In these folders put your favourite MP3 files. You can now use these MP3 files as per the topic.
Notifications - Message tones and Notification tones
Ringtones - Your phone ringtones
Alarms - Your alarm mp3s
Using these folders there is no need to play the MP3 files first in Music Player.
Every time I switch out the batteries. I have about 20 ring tones assigned to various people and when I switch out batteries (I'm trying the whole external charger routine), I have to reassign them.

On my windows mobile phones this was possible...the EVO being my first android phone, it doesn't seem like it is. That stinks.
Used to use Rings Extended and Ringdroid, but uninstalled when I could no longer get SMS or any notification tones to ring. Alarms etc still work. When I go to Settings->Sounds & Display->Notification Ringtone and select from either Android System or any other ringtone program I try, any tone plays when I select it. But no tone for sms, email or notifications.

Well before that I had no problem putting custom alerts for email and text messages. Well now I have my own Incredible and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it again.
