I'm assuming that I'm not violating Android Forums TOS since this app is actually in the Android market. If it is, feel free to delete.
Have been using the HTC and Android music players on the Desire, both pretty decent and do the job. However when listening to a mixed album where the songs - despite being separate files - mix into each other, there's a small gap/delay as it stops playing one song and starts the other. The Android player's gap is shorter than the HTC version (which is a shame as I like the HTC's widget), but there's still a gap. Is there anything I can do to either widget so that there's no small delay? Or alternatively is there a music player out there that will play the songs with no gap?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to the Droid OS - just got my Incredible last week. I've been playing around with it and got some of my songs on the micro SD card. I would like to select a bunch of them and move them to a playlist. Other than manually selecting them one at a time, is there a faster way to group select them and move them to a playlist?
View 3 Replies View RelatedUnless I am entirely missing something (which is certainly possible), I can't seem to easily create a playlist based on all music in a *folder* using the stock music player. I have to select each song one-by-one out of a list of all my songs on the phone, which is tedious and time-consuming. If I'm missing it, please let me know. In the meantime, I downloaded a very basic player called "Player." It does allow you to create playlists based on all music in a folder.
When you navigate to a music folder and select some or all of the music in the folder to play, "Player" creates a temporary playlist with all of the music selected. NOTE: A message pops up saying ONE song has been added to the playlist, but this is incorrect (unless you've only selected one to play). If you've chosen multiple or all of the songs in the folder to play, it actually creates the playlist with all the selected songs in it. Since the playlist created is a temporary playlist, so you must go into the "playlist" area to rename it to what you want. If you don't, then the next time you select a folder to play music from, it will likely overwrite the first temporary playlist with the new one.
It's actually very, very easy (much easier than scrolling through to select each song). The playlists created by "Player" automatically show up in the stock music player as well and can be played there. One negative to "Player" is that it appears to display the wrong album art. If that's a big deal, then simply revert to the stock player and run your playlists from there. I realize there are other music apps in the markets, so this wouldn't apply if you prefer one of those, obviously.
I have the Samsung Moment, and I've run into this problem with both the default Music app as well as MixZing. Haven't tried any others yet, though.
So, everything but about 3 (out of a few hundred, haha) songs is tagged properly and shows up under artist as one expects, sorts into the correct albums and all - but within albums the songs go alphabetically, rather than by track number.
Does anyone know how to make my songs actually show up in the correct album order instead of just alphabetical order? Kind of messes things up if you're trying to listen to a musical.
Is there anyway to stop the stock music player on my HTC Hero from playing songs? I have a bluetooth headset and whenever I use the controls on the headset it activates the stock music player instead of the one I downloaded.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, when I try to download music to my Droid (using iMusic) the download always fails, and I get a message that there's insufficient space. I went in and deleted all my existing music files, which weren't that many to begin with, and I still get the same message. This never happened until my OS got upgraded a few days ago.

View 5 Replies View RelatedComing from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI have read most of the threads on how to sync songs with my Droid X but the problems is this: over the years as I have acquired music I have changed the artist names and song names to be neatly organized. This, however, was only reflected in my iTunes Library and apparently not on my hard drive. Now if I want to sync to my Droid X all of my songs will look very disorganized.
Is there any way to, and without manually going back and renaming all the files, sync the exact iTunes Library, new names and all, to my device? I've tried doubletwist, the motorola program and VCast Media manager, but those all take their info from the original files.
When I download music from my computer (PC) to my motorola droid the songs for each album are put in alphabetical order rather than the original album track order.I don't see an option to reorder them any other way.Could this be happening because of the download method I use? I'm using Windows Media Player to save from CD to PC, then copy and paste onto my SD card.
