I downloaded a couple songs to my computer. Now how do I put them on my EVO so I can edit them and use them as ringtones? Just plug in my phone to computer?..and then what? Sorry, Im so new to this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedComing from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.
I want to be able to download and install my app from my website, but when i do this at the moment i get the error:-
Download unsuccessful - Cannot Download. The content is not supported on the phone.
After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?

View 3 Replies View Relatedim using the free version from the market. when i first opened it it gave me the option to do by songs or by album. for some reason i thought by album would be easier. when i went to play the songs i noticed that it was linking multiple songs with the same album cover..most were not even from the same artist. i uninstalled it, then reinstalled and still didnt get the option to do it by song.
how do i update the album for the ones that got the wrong cover? there are some songs that still dont have one at all as its not showing up in the list in the app of album cover..i have been using ayal music download to download the songs. i currently have music mod, and mixzing downloaded and the problem is happening with all of the music players. im hoping there is a way to fix this..i dont necessarily need the album cover, but it would be nice to have.
I have read most of the threads on how to sync songs with my Droid X but the problems is this: over the years as I have acquired music I have changed the artist names and song names to be neatly organized. This, however, was only reflected in my iTunes Library and apparently not on my hard drive. Now if I want to sync to my Droid X all of my songs will look very disorganized.
Is there any way to, and without manually going back and renaming all the files, sync the exact iTunes Library, new names and all, to my device? I've tried doubletwist, the motorola program and VCast Media manager, but those all take their info from the original files.
I can't figure out how to relabel the artist and song names of songs that I downloaded. Because they are all messed up with numbers and dashes instead of them being under the correct artist and album art it is just throwing a majority of them under unknown artist. Also how do you properly label a song so it shows up with the artist and song name? For instance a file all messed up says 03_Marylin_manson - Sweet dreams_mp3.mp3 when obviously I want the song labeled simply: Sweet Dreams under the artist Marylin Manson.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my phone a few days ago (Eris) and I put Mp3's on my sd card by transferring from my computer.
When I did this I made a music folder on my sd card and copied and pasted folders of artists into this music folder. Now when I go to look at all my songs in meridian it only shows the band that I first copied and pasted onto the sd card. It doesn't recognize the other songs in the other folders. The only way I can get those songs to play in meridian is by going into astro and selecting the song file and playing in the app.
how can i delete songs directly on my phone, without having to connect it to the pc to delete?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOnly 9 songs show up when I open the music on my eris. I added two new songs yesterday and for whatever reason almost all of them don't show up anymore. When my phone is plugged in as a disk drive the files show up when I look through my SD card on the computer, but not on my phone. It's really pissing me off, I've tried restarting my phone multiple times, deleted those two songs I added...nothing has worked. This phone has sucked since the update was released.

Sometimes its not very noticeable and other times it's almost a full second delay before the next song plays. I was wondering, what causes this? Is it the phone itself or does it have to do with the song files? On my computer there is never a delay, each song plays continuously one immediately after the other.
