I have brand new HTC Tatoo and i am trying to connect it to my HP 6830, running Win7 Ultimate. Phone says, that no HTC Sync is found on laptop, but i installed latest version and restarted PC twice.

I've had my Tatto for a couple of days and wanted to pair it with my bluetooth headset for driving. The headset is quite new, but has no makers ref on it so can't find out what it's setting are, but when its on and the Tattoo is scanning, it is never found... I have also tried making the Tatto discoverable during this process as assume its a two way process....

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am planning on getting the HTC Hero with Sprint when it is released on Sunday. 1. I was wondering if I will be able to use it to tether to my laptop and use sprint's 3G connection through my device to get online on my laptop when there are no wifi spots available. I may not use this feature since it seems the hero is a mini computer within itself and I can almost anything on it that I can on a computer. 2. Is it true the Hero supports flash video? Most devices allow youtube and I know Hero will, but will it also be able to play any other online video as well as youtube videos? 3. Will the Hero support video conferencing through a medium such as Skype? It is able to record moving video so I wasn't sure if the built in camera could be used like a web cam on skype to video conference, or with other video conferencing services available through the android market. 4. Is this the best android device being released at this time? It seems to be a lot better than the Mytouch 3G. It's also being compared next to the Palm Pre (not an android device) and most people say the Hero is much better because Pre doesn't have an OS that is very open source. The main reason I am getting this device is because it has the android OS which is known for being very open source and there are so many applications you can get and many more to come.

Over the weekend my usb connection to my laptop has stopped working.
it still charges but i don't get the notification that usb is connected or the option to mount the phone. meaning i can swap files with the laptop.
m using the usb cable that came with the phone.
is there a setting i may have altered by mistake that could cause this to happen?

I was navigating the other day, and a call came in and I answered with the handsfree system in the car. When directions came up, it cut in the call, and announced the directions over the speakers. Is there any way to directly do this for navigation only?
Another quick question. I have my phone set up with my Mac Book Pro. I can send files with bluetooth to the laptop, but when I go to browse the phone from the computer, it says connection failed. I do have ftp turned on on the phone.

I want to do none of these things - usually I just want to charge the phone! View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Google Nexus 4 with Android 4.2.2.I've just tried a speed test on it using the Android app (speedtest.net) and it says over wifi I'm getting about 1mps down/upload. I've also tried it on my laptop using the same wifi connection but through the browser using thier website Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and it says im getting about 15 mps down and almost 1 upload.
when I go into Chrome and search for speedtest it goes to the play store with thier app, any way I can access thier site on my phone browser? the desktop site doesn't seem to work?
my newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh.The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".

I have poor reception anyway But I found out that if I stand near a wall in my office an tile my head at 55 degrees, then I get 'ok' reception (exaggerating) But this is with other phones. The Tattoo doesn't want to know And I have to move to somewhere where there is a much stronger reception

We were in the orange shop briefly - so i could sneakily test the water as to which phones she likes - She likes the look of the Tattoo and loves the idea of custom cases (her idea of a good phone is very superficial) but hasn't used a smartphone for any longer than 10 minutes. She doesn't like WinMo because it is very straight-laced and business orientated. I played with a hero in the orange shop and found it a pleasure to use but i have been using smartphones for a few years now. I have a couple of questions :
Will the Tattoo be usable/of any use without a data plan? What will work? what doesn't?
How easy is Android to use for a complete beginner to smartphones? She currently has a Samsung D600 (which she loves). Is she going to struggle to use basic functions?

I found a downloadable app online called "mobile banking UK", but I'm not sure if it would be compatible with the tattoo's resolution and everything? Does anybody know for sure if mobile banking UK actually works with htc tattoo? Or know of any other mobile bank apps for UK users?

Finally go to the development team and explained about the screen size on the Tattoo and they need to "sign" the file as compatible. They emailed back saying they have found the settings and will submit a new copy to Google soon
