Whenever I connect my Tattoo to a USB port, it asks if I want Disk Mode, Sync or Share Internet Connection. I want to do none of these things - usually I just want to charge the phone! Is there a way to allow the Tattoo to do nothing by default i.e. without insisting on one of the above (and then throwing an error).

I am expecting delivery of an Tattoo Ink today. It's been a bit delayed and there's no credit left on my old phone, so I have a backlog of calls I need to make.How long does it take before plugging a new phone into the charger for the 1st and it being safe to turn it on to use it for the 1st time? (without doing the battery any damage)I have searched through the online manuals but they are disappointingly vague about this.

The headset is quite new, but has no makers ref on it so can't find out what it's setting are, but when its on and the Tattoo is scanning, it is never found... I have also tried making the Tatto discoverable during this process as assume its a two way process....

In general I am thrilled with the newest Android offering for my phone, but I notice that now when I open the "Contacts" menu, my options are only to call or email that contact. In 1.6 on that same screen I had the option to Message them as well, is that something that could be wired back up? I use Handcent for messaging if that makes any difference.

I installed Handcent today but there was no widget option, just the app option. Any idea why? The sync icon (arrows chasing each other in a circle) is stuck at the top of the screen and my battery is disappearing rapidly. But something I didn't know about CM6 is that this option is not there. But, the file never shows up on the card, in the file browser (on the device - I use Glance). Where did the file go? When trying to browse the device from my desktop, I notice the USB Mass Storage option is missing guess that's expected since others in the forum explain that it was removed in this version. But, I can't get my PC to browse the memory card when it's stored in the phone. This all just seems to add up to a flaky memory management problem, but I can't be sure.

I plugged my phone into my laptop to charge, which I normally do. While it was charging, I decided to take a look at some files I had saved on the phone/microSD. However, when I went to the notification bar to change the USB connection setting, there was nothing there to change! I even went into Settings>Connect to PC and changed the setting to "Disk Drive", exited settings, unplugged the phone, and replugged it in, still nothing. The phone IS charging, but the computer doesn't recognize it. I even uninstalled the driver, hoping it would force the driver to be reinstalled by plugging the phone in again but still nothing. I tried different USB ports!
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh.The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X 2.2. I noticed that the option to sync with google calendar is missing on my phone. I have done quite a bit of research and tried what others have suggested. Here's what I've tried so far:
- Clearing the "Calendar Storage" and then creating another google dummy account as many suggested.
- Adding an event to the Calendar. I couldn't - it kept asking me to sync with a calendar account first. In the settings within the Calendar, when I checked Accounts, there was no accounts to add, neither could I add one.
The weirdest thing I found is that I don't have the same phone options as many online posts say I should have. At the Home > Settings > Accounts & Synchronization, I have only Accounts but no Synchronization. Is there an alternative like not using Google calendar but some other online calendar to sync?
