I have just got a HTC Tattoo on contract. Great phone but i am having trouble transfering the contacts from my Blackberry 8520 to the Tattoo. They will pair with each other but will not connect. I have also tried connecting it to a Nokia 2323 but having no joy.

I am now the proud owner of a Tattoo courtesy of Vodafone.I'm looking forward to playing with the device over the coming weeks / months and have promised my wife that I won't mess about with hers, unless she wants me to. Having been an O2 customer for several years, I was slightly disappointed that they couldn't offer me a good deal on either a shared tariff or 2 contracts. Spoke to Vodafone, and they agreed to a 2xTattoo on separate contracts (100mins, 500texts over 24months) at 17.50 each - at that discount, I couldn't say no...so I said yes .My wife's Tattoo isn't here yet as she is porting her number across and as everyone knows, that is such a difficult process that it takes days ;-)

I was trying to transfer a pdf - assuming in advance that I'll be able to read pdfs!

any suggestions please.. my phone is contact less and i dont want to insert 300 contacts manually.
Just received my first HTC device (HTC Tattoo) and I have tryed several times to pared that for my old Nokia device for sending contact (Vcard) to my new and superb phone. Unfortunately I have no success on that. It will always inform me paired but not connected. Is there any how has similar problems with Android platform or is there any another way to copy contact information S40 device.

and the only way i know of to get them is through adding a 'live folder' to the homescreen through the official facebook app found on other android phones but not the tattoo Any ideas?
my newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh.The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to tidy up contacts and want to transfer all the contacts on my Desire to my PC, tidy them and send them back. I had a look at the other thread s on this but they don't seem to cover Desire.
It seems I can only transfer contacts as VCards, one at a time, via bluetooth, is this the case? That would be a pain.
So, what are the alternatives? I think I can use sync but I'm not sure how. Any other options? Using the built in mailer in Desire, I assume, since I didn't load another one, and using Thunderbird on PC, if that info is pertinent.
Just got it last night at ATT b&m (for $149!!) and yes (as my lovely wife can attest) I was captivated for many an hour. Battery cycling. Overall VERY good despite the posts I've read. Very intuitive UI but I could see where some mods would be sweet. EXCELLENT GPS performance; 15-30 sec fixes INDOORS with 5-10m accuracy w/out WiFi. My BJII was never this good. Excellent You Tube performance WITH HQ playback. 8GB SDHC works flawlessly, My only suck is phone contacts transfer from WM6. BTW - bod was 7/22/10. Now on to the Market, sideloading and may be root.

Then this year my brother gave me an iPhone 4S as my 21 years birthday present. It was a great gift, however, the problem comes to me that how I can transfer my contact data to my new iPhone 4s.
I searched Google and got some ways such as: using the Sim card, syncing to Google contacts; using Synkontact; or import and export my contact data using Moborobo.
I don't like to upload my contact data to any unknown internet space, so I choose not to use Google contacts and synkontact. Why? Because I don't trust any web storage space! So, Moborobo become my choice. I can safely export contact data on my HTC desire to my computer and import it to my lovely iPhone 4s. Ok, it's done! Easy and safe.

Does anyone know how to recieve contact information that is sent from a Blackberry?I have had several people try and send me other people's contact information, and it is a Vcard or .vcf file and my phone will not recognize it, so the information is not readable and it is making it hard for me to do my job.Can anyone please help me with this issue?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a built in car system that connects to the phone via bluetooth. Unfortunately, this system will not read the phonebook directly from the phone, and you need to transfer the phonebook via bluetooth to the car system.
On my old phone (Samsung i8910), you were able to go into contacts, mark all the contacts and then transfer them via bluetooth.
On the DHD I cannot seem to find an option for this. Any ideas how I can achieve this?
