HTC Tattoo :: How Long Does Battery Survive

I bought the tattoo last monday. Great device with a bad standby time is my opinion. Where my Nokia took a week before it was empty my Tattoo takes 24 hours. I don't know if I can compare the battery life of this phone with the other android devices which made me decide to create this thread.
I have disabled everything except GSM network ofcourse. I am always connected to the internet. There is no messenger running in the background or anything. I charged this afternoon and after 3 hours I lost 13%. In my opinion to much. How long will it take before your phone is drained and what did you do on your Tattoo to save energy? Maybe you just accept the bad battery life... but I have some difficulties to do so...

I am expecting delivery of an Tattoo Ink today. It's been a bit delayed and there's no credit left on my old phone, so I have a backlog of calls I need to make.How long does it take before plugging a new phone into the charger for the 1st and it being safe to turn it on to use it for the 1st time? (without doing the battery any damage)I have searched through the online manuals but they are disappointingly vague about this.

The internal meter says it is due for charge long before its out of juice. Battery Left widget will give accurate voltage levels, but it too is fooled, even after proper calibration.

my newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh.The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".

Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble removing their battery cover?Sometimes it comes off really easily and sometimes it won't come off at all.I lost patience with it last week and tried to get it open with my car key and scratched it.I think the cover should have some kind of grip on it so that your finger/thumb doesn't slip when you try to open it.Now have a new cover on order from HTC,hopefully the new one might be easier to get off.

My replacement Inc will be here on Tuesday. What is the recommended amount of time to charge the battery the first time? When I was talking to Tech Support when my first Inc was having problems he told me it was best to charge a full 24 hours the first time. I don't know if I can wait 24 hours after receiving my Inc before checking it out!

I was really dissapointed with the performance of my battery in the hero, even when i turn off wifi and stop my apps from using the network it still drains so fast! so, i thought i would try turning off 3G so it uses 2G just to test and see if it makes a big difference..
It does.. Its far better now.. i dont really see a speed difference using 2G either, granted the inetrnet isnt as fast but i dont hammer the internet anyway, only to check a few sites occasionally so i'll put up with a few seconds delay if it boosts my battery performance as much as it does!

I updated my phone to the official realease 2.1 when it came out and since then I have noticed my battery is not lasting as long as it used to. I was curious what you are seeing when you check your phone idle pertentage. Mine is showing phone idle at 37%. Settings>About Phone>Battery>Battery Use

To all those who have battery issues.... How long do you charge your battery for? Check this out:
Saturday night -> Sunday - charged phone for 7 hours
Sunday - about 18-19 hrs of battery life - moderate usage
Charged from 6pm sunday night to 4am monday - (10 hours on charger)
Monday -> Tuesday - 38 hours of battery life - moderate usage
Charged tuesday from 1030pm to 4am wednesday (6 hours on charger
Tuesday - 16 hours of battery life - moderate usage.
BOTTOM LINE: I think the phone says it is charged way before it actually is full. Let me know if anyone else is having the same issues....

I received my Desire on Saturday, I'm not very happy with the battery performance at all so far. All automatic updates are off and 3G/Wifi disabled. Yesterday I unplugged it at 0630 (at 100% battery), and despite very little use it was totally drained by 4pm. Today I haven't used it at all (as a test) and it looks like it's only going to be fractionally better. When I check the Battery stats for today 'Cell Standby' is at 74% and 'Phone idle' is at 18%. My question is, 3 days into ownership is this poor performance normal or do you think there's a problem with the battery?

I picked up a Droid X today from a local NJ authorized VZW dealer, not a VZW company store.It's my first "smart" phone and I hope it will be worth the extra $30 a month that I will be paying. So far I love it!Anyway, the guy told me to charge the phone all night long.I played with the phone this afternoon and the battery completely died at about 7pm. I plugged it in and checked it at 10pm and it was at 100%. Should I keep it plugged in all night long? The paperwork doesn't say to keep it charging after it's reached 100%.

I gave up on waiting for my telco provider to upgrade me to froyo OTA, I decided to root my phone and I've put T-Mod 2.2a rom on it.I also installed the 'undervolt' patch.My phone's battery was lasting me about 2 days before, but now it lasts roughly half as long.

My battery usually lasts from about 7 in the morning to 4 or 5 at night with moderate texting and low usage of the internet since im in school :O JW if it should be longer or if this is normal.

I know there are several posts about battery life this technically isn't one. I'm just curious how long a full battery charge takes?
My phone is currently "off" and plugged in. if i click the end button the little battery chart shows that it is charging because the meters are still climbing up. does it ever tell you that your battery is full?
