View 2 RepliesAll I want to do is create a simple "vibrate" profile that turns phone calls and text messages to vibrate. I have the call part but the messages just come in silently with no vibrate. I have the following in the task:
1) Vibrate on Notify: On
2) Vibrate on Ringer: On
3) Silent Mode: Vibrate
I figured out how to turn it off for other apps but I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off when typing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to turn off vibrate while typing?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirstly, I have an HTC Magic, so no hardware keyboard for me, only soft. I've found that typing can often be quite laggy. It depends on the application in which I'm typing, but Messenger can be quite laggy, especially in landscape, but is no where near as bad as ChompSMS was. On the other hand, Opera beats the default browser hands down (indeed, I think typing in Opera is the smoothest around!) - the default browser's typing is simply terrible when the page loaded has quite a few images and data. Now, I understand why this could be the case (limited ram, etc) but obviously, as a consumer or user, that doesn't make my experience any better.
The other day I reset my phone to factory defaults (gotta love gmail sync up!) and installed only the following apps:
AndNav2
Barcode scanner
BeebPlayer
Netcounter
Postcode Navigator
TTS Service
Useful Switchers
And it still seems pretty laggy. I regularly purge my browser cache and delete all my messenger threads. Is there anything else I'm missing? I love the phone, but this is becomming a bit of an issue for me, and the fact that so many others praise it makes me think there might be something wrong with my phone and/or setup, rather than it being a universal problem.
Sometimes with my Eris when I try to type a text message or make a phone call, nothing shows up. I can press the letters and see the auto-correct as if its typing, but on the message bar, there are no words being typed. For making a call I can type in numbers, but when I press call, nothing happens, whenever this happens I have to wait a few minutes before it starts to register the typing again and sometimes i have to restart my phone all together. Is this happening to anybody else? And, if so, does anybody have a fix?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to 2.2 i realized that i cant turn off the vibration while typing messages. do anyone know how to shut it off?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I've tried everything root, custom ROM, overclock, removing Sprint bloatware. But no matter what I do, I can't get rid of the typing lag in the native SenseUI "Messages" app.Has ANYONE found a way to type fast and furiously without any lag in the Messages app? I've tried 3rd party keyboards as well, to no avail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHandcent won't vibrate for any incoming messages. Here is what I've done:
-Phone vibrate is checked in 'Sound & display settings' for Android.
-Vibrate is checked to always in Handcent.
-Tried multiple vibrate patterns in both normal mode and vibrate mode.
-Tried multiple vibrate patterns for vibrate 'Only when device is set to vibrate mode' (option in handcent) while having the device in vibrate mode.
-Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Handcent.
Phone vibrates normally for all other applications.
The Droid X is my first Android phone and while I am pretty tech savvy I cannot find a setting anywhere that will allow me to set my txt messages to vibrate when they arrive.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSorry if this has been bought up in the past but how do you get the phone to vibrate on incoming messages? I have the phone set to vibrate on incoming messages but does not work. does vibrate for phone calls though.
View 7 Replies View RelatedPhone will not vibrate when I receive emails, SMS, or gTalk messages if I put it in Vibrate Only mode. Phone calls do vibrate. In settings for each of those apps, I have a check mark in the Vibrate box. My Vibrate mode *used* to work, but when I uninstalled Quick Profiles it seems to have killed vibrations for everything except phone calls.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIm recently having a problem with the vibrate function with text messages. When getting a new text, it acts as if its on silent and not vibrate or anything but when i receive a phone call it vibrates. So i download Handscent to see if it vibrates with that app and it didnt. I have been throuh all the settings it seems like and I still cant get a vibrate with new sms messages.
View 45 Replies View Relatedanyone know of any apps that allow my inc to vibrate alert for sms text messages?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason no matter what I do I can't seem to get my vibrate to work when I receive a text message. It used ti work until one day it just stopped. I have tried everything I could think of except doing a hard reset, which I don't really want to do. It seems to only not want to work with text messages. Phone works fine, as far as vibrate goes, and anything else that vibrates works without a problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do I get the Droid to vibrate AND play the Droooid sound EVERY text message regardless of if the volume is on or off? I want incoming text messages to ALWAYS vibrate. And play the sound if the volume is off silent.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHey, I was playing around with my Incredible today, and to my dismay I have made it so my phone does not vibrate when I receive text messages.
I looked through all the other threads and they didn't help.
I've gone through the sms settings and turned vibration "on"
I even have it in vibrate mode. that didn't work.
regular mode. didn't work.
I fixed it just in case anyone else runs into this problem:
Download "sound manager" open the app, click your "menu" button and click "vibrate options"
You'll see that vibration notifications are turned off.
Is there a way to make them vibrate? I've tried widgets and doin it myself and i can only seem to get phone calls to vibrate and nothin else. I like havin my phone on vibrate at work but it sucks that txt messages don't vibrate....what am i missing here?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDid a quick search and found nothing. Out of the blue last week, the vibrate notification for both emails and texts has stopped working. It is still working in vibrate mode for calls though. I use Profiles app and have changed nothing on it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my phone up in the settings for both email and for text messages to give me a vibrate alert on any text or emails. All I get is the audible ring and no vibration. It is the same on incoming calls. The vibrate works if I turn the ringer off and go to vibrate mode, but it won't work with the ringer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Rogers Magic unlocked. I am in China using China Unicom GPRS. It works very well. However I want to be able to save incoming sms messages in the phone. Perhaps even in folders such as "drafts". My old cheap Nokia could do this. When I now get an incoming message I can only delete it or leave it in the "inbox".
