I originally used double twist to sync up my music and pictures and all, but it kinda became a mess so I bagged it. Now I am trying to straighten my phones card out a bit, and i have 3 different album arts for each music album. Where and how is the album art stored that the droid actually uses for its music player?

I am working on a program that opens up the camera on a button click, snaps a photo and takes that photo and stores it in a new class (listview.java) that will be accessed from the main menu. My code to snap a pic is: Code...
how do I go about saving that new bmp file to that different class?
I tried to put photoResultView in my listview.java class as so: Code...
but the program crashes everytime I try and save the pic I snapped - anyone have any ideas or tutorials for doing this?

I want to create an app that has pictures Ive taken or created and allows users to browse through them. Ive got how to use buttons but I just cant figure out how to store the pictures within the apk file that gets uploaded to market. Im really new to android development and Ive been through some tutorials and have a couple books but for right now Im stuck and would greatly appreciate a push in the right direction. I know it should be easy to do but I just cant find anything describing what Im trying to do.

I guess this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a proper answer/solution. Have a note-taking app, which allows to take pictures. For that I start an intent, that starts up the built-in camera-app. So far so good. But when I show that image in my app, it's in a much smaller format The funny/weird thing is, that the camera-app did take a full-resolution picture! But for some reason I can't get the full version to show in my app? So, when I use the standard Android Gallery app, and go to that picture, it is very obvious that it's full size (I can zoom in and see details I really can't see when I zoom in, in my own app). Also, the dimensions are really those of the original picture, taken with the 5MP camera. In my app, they are very small. My phone has Android 2.2, but the same happens on my emulator (Android 2.1). How should I retrieve the pictures in my app? Tried a couple of ways, but none works :( Don't need a complete example (allthough that's very welcome), just a few clues are enough to search for myself.

So I just got me a G1 earlier this week but my question is this. Even though their website says the max size card you can put in is 8GB I have seen somewhere you can put one in a little bigger, so there for I am wondering what is the biggest memory card that can be put in this thing? I currently use a 2GB one that I had in my former nokia 5310.

When my SD card is mounted in my Magic, the CPU usage is very high (90%+), the battery is very warm (34 degrees +) and it drains the battery very quickly (dead in 10 hrs with very min use).
When the SD card is unmounted or removed, the CPU usage drops to 10% or below, the phone is cool and the battery lasts very long.
Does anyone know the reason behind this and how it can be resolved?
I've reformatted the SD card and removed some of the media files not supported by my Magic but still have this issue.

I'm currently started using my HTC Magic phone for almost half a month with my existing 2GB MicroSD card.
I'm planning of upgrade/replace it with a 8GB card instead. May I know is there any special steps that I'll need to follow in order to switch everything (including existing data + application stored in the card) to the new ones? Is it by just copying all the data from the existing card to the new one will work?

Well this is actually a question for someone else but I didn't know the answer. So can you buy cell phones using a Best Buy store credit card? Told them why not use cash or another credit card, but this person loves reward zone points.

Everything (apps, email, txts, etc) all file to the internal phone memory even though, on the settings page, (Settings/Storage/Phone Storage) I have highlighted the SD Card button. The SD card is recognised by the phone and reports 29.57 GB available. I want data to file to the SD card.

I am hoping to create a program on my android (and/or more likely back at the server) to use the camera on the phone to capture an image of the card and break it into the corresponding parts and use them to identify the card to use in a database of my own creation. The pattern recognition is where I could use help. Ok, a card has a black border, a "box" at the top with the name of the card, an image, a box with the type of the card and a symbol that represents the set it was from, and a final box with some more descriptive text. To start with, I will assume all cards follow that format. Ok, at the least to identify that card, I need to identify the top box and OCR the typed text.If I could match the symbol in the middle box that would be great, but. Can anyone point me to either an API or article/book on the theory I would need to code it myself?

I am patiently waiting for my new droidx. I dont know if this is self explanatory when i receive the x and play around with it for a while but how do you store apps on the SD card? I read that you can only use the memory that comes with the phone but not sure if that was wrong.

Just in case anyone wants to try this / if it has happened to anyone else. I didn't have a pre order for the Incredible but when I went in to exchange my current 10 day old phone for one the manager went to transfer the contacts over and apparently their machine cannot transfer anything to the internal Incredible memory. I received a free 2gb memory card to make up for it ($24.99 savings woot).

There are a few G1 users reporting that my app won't display images. I can only imagine this is because they don't have an SD card. My app is heavy on images. Is it appropriate to store images on the internal memory? I don't even know if there'd be enough space.
