View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible for an app(or virus) on android to place shortcuts on the main page of my launcher?
If so, how can I find out what is causing this and remove it.
I did search but couldn't find anything. My Vibrant came with market on the home page. When I tried to set up an account it put another shortcut on my home page.
How do I get rid of a shortcut?
Why is it every time I go to the internet, the last page viewed shows? I have my home page set to "Google." Shouldn't Google be the page that shows up? Also, it seems to save the history, even after I delete history, cookies, caches. Why? I was told to try and keep this, as well as deleted email, empty or the phone may become slow.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to rename shortcuts on the home screens (i.e., apps, widgets, folders)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedLeading up to my purchase of the new EVO I familiarized myself with some battery-life-saving tips. One of the tips was associated with reducing the number of Widgets on the Home Screen(s) that are pulling data in the background.
QUESTION: if one doesn't use widgets but uses App icons and Shortcuts does the addition of those NON-widget items cause the associated apps to launch by themselves in the background MORE THAN if they were NOT "short-cutted" onto the Home Screen pages??
I'm trying to determine how/what I'm doing that might cause apps to launch in the background when I don't really want them to. I'm using Advanced Task Killer to see what is running in the background and have NO CLUE why some stuff is turning on when they do. A recent LARGE list of running apps that I did NOT turn on coincidentally coincided with some Home Screen short-cut non-widget add-ons I recently placed.
Is it possible to add app shortcuts to the homescreen so they show when android loads up for the first time? It would be ideal if I could somehow edit the ROM zip file so I can flash this to many devices.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to setup shortcut icons to specific home screens? This includes using any launcher out there. I know you can't do it in TouchWiz, even though if you press on any of the home screen indicators (the dots at the top) you can fast path to that screen. I tried launcher pro - but could not figure it out - that could be user error. The reason I want this, is to keep my home page clean and have a few icons at the bottom to get to certain pages without having to scroll. (examples music, tools, car, shopping).

View 26 Replies View RelatedFor example, Gensoid Lite, a Sega Genesis emulator, allows you to create homescreen shortcuts to launch specific ROMs inside the app. Are there any internet radio apps that have this same functionality? I'd like to create some icons to access my favorite stations right from the homescreen instead of opening the app and going through there. I've tried XiiaLive, Cherry rPlayer, Google Listen, and TuneIn Radio and none of those have this functionality.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted my Epic 4G following this guide: joeykrim-SDX Permanent Root for Epic (and Verizon Fascinate).I then went ahead and removed some of the "bloatware" applications using this guide here: [GUIDE] How to Remove Pre-Installed Apps for FREE - xda-developers.I did successfully root my phone, and the applications I removed are no longer there, but now the shortcuts that can be placed in the Home (or any section) no longer remain after I shutdown the phone. Widgets and Folders on the other hand do get saved by the phone and remain after a reboot. Is there something that I may have removed that shouldn't have been? and if so is it easy to recover? Would a custom ROM fix this situation? Or is there a program that I can use to restore all the default applications (without un-rooting).

View 34 Replies View RelatedI updated to 2.1 recently, and I am using Helix launcher with 5 screens. I let a friend use my phone the other night and when she gave it back, it was messed up. I mean, it seems to work the same, but there are 5 small screens at the bottom of my home screen that look as if they are previews/shortcuts to the other screens. I cannot seem to figure out how she got that on there, or how to get rid of it! It's really annoying. Anyone have a clue??
View 3 Replies View RelatedI wish to change the 2 shortcuts at the bottom of Gingerbread default home screen (Phone, Browser) to something else (Messages, Gmail). But I couldn't find a way to change those icons either by press and hold on the shortcut, or by dragging icons from the Apps screen.
