HTC Legend :: Downgrade Legend To Previous Software Version After 1.32.xxx.x Update?
Jun 5, 2010I just updated my Legend, it said it was to do with the camera. It's now version 1.32.161.4 and the root guide at 24/May r4 - HTC Legend rooting guide - Now with 1.31.x - Android @ MoDaCo says 1.31 and below is there any way to downgrade the Legend to what it was before? I think it was 1.21 or 1.23 not sure.

May 21, 2010I have my google calender set up on my Legend and the google calender sync set up on my pc to sync with Outlook but that's just it it doesn't.It's set up to sync every hour but the info on either calender does not transfer to the other.I have it set up on 2-way as well but it's just not working.

Aug 3, 2010Cracked the screen! It only fell from my lap onto the centre console of the car, I have made it noticeable in the photo but you can hardly see it when the backlight is on. I will fix it soon, but I'll need a detailed guide on how to do it, I have seen some forums on how to do it but it doesn't seem that easy. I'll need a digitizer from fleebay & some tools, unless someone on the forums can do it?

May 16, 2010I am pleased with the Legend, but at times things come up that confuse me somewhat. Recently a friend and I were taking photos and I thought it would be interesting to compare camera quality of her BB Curve 8900 with my HTC Legend. Below are the photos.

Is it just me or is something wrong here? (Forgive me naivety!) Also, could it be that I need to fine tune some settings or something? I hope somehow I can improve these shots.. the Legend's assumed superior camera was one of its main attractive characteristics for me!

I wanted to pair it with my new Legend, but for some reason when I press Scan for devices in the Bluetooth setup, my PC shows up, my neighbor's Nokia shows up, but the headset never appears. I thought that Bluetooth devices were pretty universal; shouldn't my Legend see this headset and pair with it without problem?

Jun 2, 2010On every phone i have had for many years now, pushing any of the buttons whilst the phone's screen is off activates the screen briefly (usually just showing the clock or prompting for the screen unlock). This is both useful for ensuring the phone is switched on but is just as useful for ensuring the phone is switched off (night, meetings, flights, cinema etc).
The only way of activating the screen to check the Legend's on/off status appears to be to push the power button. However, if the phone is off, this simply switches the phone on! This strikes me as being a completely daft design decision.
So, is there any way of checking that a Legend is off without switching it on and then off again?
(Yes, i know there are silent, flight safe, meeting and other modes...)
HTC Desire :: HTC Sync And Outlook 2010
Apr 29, 2010I'm using W7 Ultimate x64 and had no issues with the latest version of HTC Sync and Outlook 2007 x86 - all fine and dandy.
Upgraded last night to Office 2010 x64 and now Sync won't see my Desire - any reasons for this? I've not tried another USB port as yet so will do so later this evening but thought I'd see if anyone else has got it working.
This is the full retail Office 2010, not the beta/technical preview btw.

Nov 3, 2010Me and my manager have an HTC desire HD, I use gmail for everything but my manager uses outlook 2010 to manage all his events. He's tried syncing with htc sync 3 on his laptop but this has put all his events on his phone one hour later than they should be. Also we have tried to clear the calendar data using settings>applications>calendar>clear data but its not deleting all the events .

Nov 5, 2010Has anyone had any issues syncing 2010 microsoft outlook calendars on their droid incredible? When I first set it up it was super easy and had no issues (i was on 2007). Then my work computer got upgraded to 2010 and it worked for a bit and now the calendar won't sync correctly. Contacts and emails have no issues. I get an error message on my calendar though and only certain appointments sync. I tried to delete the account and reset it but each time I did that it double up appointments in my work computer outlook and still didn't get all appointments on my phone. Now I am afraid to try that again since it is a pain to delete all the duplicates.

Nov 15, 2010I'm brand new to the Android world and, in fact, don't even have a phone yet. However, I'll be picking up the LG Optimus S w/Sprint in the next day or so. All my information (email, calendar, contacts, notes, etc) are all managed in Outlook (stand alone, not Exchange). I've been told that there's no way to sync directly from Outlook to an Android phone so I'm looking for the cheapest way to accomplish that and have good results.
My emails come through Gmail so that part is already done. I use Google's Calendar Sync program so my calendar is already in my Gmail account so that is also done. The contacts and notes are only in Outlook so that's where my main question lies..........

May 18, 2010I've got a Windows 7 laptop with Outlook 2010 beta on it. Loving 2010, but HTC Sync doesn't seem to want to work with it. I've asked HTC, and they say it don't work with 2010. If anybody knows a way of making it work with 2010. Alternatively, I'm considering buying Outlook 2007 to use instead. Does HTC Sync work with Outlook 2007? I want to sync contacts, calendars, and anything else it might sync!

Sep 14, 2010I have a HTC Desire (updated to Froyo) and have been syncing my contacts with my Outlook 2010 (running Windows 7 Enterprise-32 bit). Everything seems to synchronize well but somehow the "email address-Display As" fields gets updated in outlook, which then doesnt allow me to send emails to those email addresses unless I manually go and update the display as field inside my outlook contacts. I have manually updated all the contacts once already hoping that it may not be due to HTC Sync but when I did the sync then immediately all my Outlook email ids got updated.
Now everytime I try and send an email I immediately get Undeliverable receipt from System Administrator stating the following:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: test Sent: 14-Sep-2010 17:41
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached: abc@xyz.com on 14-Sep-2010 17:41
None of your e-mail accounts could send to this recipient.
