Is possible to change just calendar notifications to a MP3 file?
So I am new to the Android phone, have had it for about a month. Hopefully this isn't a stupid question but how do I get the reminders from my calendar with a sound to go with it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe only thing I've been able to find is how to change the default alert. Ideally I'd like one sound for email and another for text messages. It was pretty easy to set this on BB.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've spent days searching this forum (and the whole web) for a solution to this, but haven't found anything yet. Starting to wonder if it's possible. I've changed my ringtones on my Galaxy S to different custom MP3's for various contact groups. No problem there. I've changed my 'notification' sound to a custom mp3 from the settings/sounds menu. No problem there. But there calendar still plays the standard sound (I think it's called 'on time' in the Samsung sounds list) and I can't find anywhere to change it. At first I thought the calendar would've used the notification sound, but it never changes... so then I thought maybe you change it from within the calendar itself.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to set it up so that when my wife, boss and best friend call me , my phone rings out-loud or vibrates even if the phone is muted or on silent. (Bonus points if you can get it to do this for when they send me a text message as well...)I want to be able to customize notification sound levels for different apps. For example, I want the Text Messaging app and Calendar to make a loud sound when I receive a message, Google Voice to vibrate, Facebook to be silent and only flash a light and Google Talk to be completely silent (but still show up in the notifications bar)I want different light colors for different notifications. For example, green for emails, blue for text, white for facebook and purple for IMs.I
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy SII. I updated to the stock ICS last week, and ever since the update, my text notifications and email notifications will periodically mute themselves. Screen still lights up, notification is still in the notification bar, but no sound.
I've changed the settings to ensure I have them correct several times. I did a master reset as well. Doing a hard reset will fix the issue temporarily, but it always goes back to not working.
I have done a battery pull, as well as restarted, and rechecked the boxes for repeat sound notifications for my text messages. The repeat sound is set at every 2 minutes. I do receive the original sound notification, but, I never get the subsequent notices. Verizon is at a loss...gee imagine that...But, at the same time, the Haptic (vibrating touch) randomly unchecks it's box and I lose that function about every 2-3 days also.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIts probably just because I am a tard but can you make it so when you put it on silent you cant hit the volume up and down on the Motorolla Droid.Also can I make my notifications vibrate instead of sound or no sound?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Android, is it possible to display all pending calendar notifications (in case the phone just booted and no notifications has occurred yet)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a theme or app or widget, whatever, that will show my calendar appts. on the lock screen. I'd really like to see at least a week in advance, without having to open my Vivid.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use my phone to with two calendar accounts, one google-account for private and one outlook exchange account for company. I want both to sync so that I can watch the calendar (that works). I want my private account to notify me of calendar events (that works). But I do NOT want my company account to notify me of calendar events, because there are so many meetings, that its like SPAM (and I am already reminded by my laptop at work).
So: Can I turn off the notifications for a specific account?
To clarify:
- no I do not want to change the notifications on the appointments, because I do want to be reminded at work
- no I do not want to disable the synchronisation for the company account, because I do want to be able to look at my calendar.
It is easily possible to disable the mail notification for the company account only, but it seems not to be possible for calendar notifications?
I started using it for the first time yesterday and to my chagrin you can't dismiss an individual notification! I have to say google fails at executing terribly....
View 2 Replies View Relatedjust got the phone a week ago.i'm using Google Calendar exclusively for all my date keeping. it's great to see that the default calendar apps sync with google calendar (GC)now, in GC (the web version) i set up the default reminders for new appointments to be a) email and b) sms.i noticed that, in order to get notifications on my PHONE as well, i need to add c) pop up to it. tested and that seems to work fine. will that pop up show anywhere else as well though? i never used that notification option before.and i noticed the following two annoying things:
1) default appointment notifications not set when appointment made using phone calendar application
when i make a new appointment from my PHONE, it shows up on the web version after a sync, that's all very cool. BUT then the appointment does not get assigned the default notification options (email and SMS), it only has pop up. any way to work around that? can't seem to find options for that.
2) when appointment made via application, web version of the appointment shows me as a GUEST who has confirmed that's a bit rubbish?! i.e. the experience is totally different from the appointments i set using the web version of GC.
know of an app that supports notifications for calendar invites in Android?
Coming from iOS, if I receive a meeting invite, I receive a notification an invite has been sent so I can review it before accepting etc.....I cannot seem to find the same functionality in Android.
As I am using IMAP for email, invites don't show up natively in the email app so I can't get a notification that way. I am using Caldav for my calendar (similar to the protocol I used on iOS) and so was hoping that invite notifications would be supported.
I use go launcher ex and android 4.04 on samsung s3. what png file is the red notification? Where is the file, in what folder? I like to change this.
View 3 Replies View RelatedRight now my phone makes the same sound whether I get a email or a text message. Can I make one have a different sound than the other? If so please tell me in detail how. I only see one notification sound area.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to replace the swiftkey stock sounds with the iphone sounds.
I edited the swiftkey apk and swapped the .wav files in /res/raw with the wav from the iphone. Then I resigned the apk and finally got it to install but when I try typing something there is no sound.
I'd like to find a way to change the sound files Android uses to play back MIDI files. Ideally, I would like to be able to playback MIDI files and have them sound exactly as they do on my Windows PC.
I can only assume that this would require finding where the Android MIDI database is stored and replacing its default soundbank with the Microsoft gm.dls file. I don't know if Android uses .sf, .sf2, .dls, or some other kind of file for its bank, but I'm fairly resourceful and I'm sure I can find a suitable replacement for the stock file.
how to find this file and how to replace it. My phone is rooted and I'm fairly familiar with how ADB works.
My problem is that the stock midi is just... Just terrible. Me and my band use Guitar Pro to write up our songs and show them to each other and I would really like to to be able to show my stuff to my bandmates on the go. The problem is that it's really hard to get a picture of the song without that familiar Windows GM sound. We've been using it for so long that we can almost picture how the song will sound when we play it if we hear the Windows MIDI. We (or at least I) don't get that if we use the Android MIDI sound.
how to change the sound of mentions on oficial app Twitter?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just upgrade my S2 from andriod 2.3ish to 4.1.2. Before doing so I changed the default system sound to that droplet sound (in the normal settings view, no root, nothing special with this phone) but now I've upgraded the 'normal' setting to change 'system sound' has gone. Have they really just scrapped that option?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAny app who can select output sound device ?

Actually my problem is that skype and voip app have sounds going throw external speaker and not internal speaker.
How can I change the color of events in my calendar?

I have a HTC One SV and Android 4.1.2
I know where to change the notifications sound but I can choose different sounds for different applications? (Exchange, Gmail SMS). If not is there a software that can do this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't think there is, but maybe someone knows how. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn on sounds on gmail notifications. I want to be able to still receive notifications popups, but I don't want sound to play on them. I know I can turn off sounds on all notifications but I only want to on Gmail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am creating one notification based on some event. This notification will only create sound. I just want to generate the sound using this notification, but no UI. Following is my code for this:
// make notification sound whenever the device is connected or disconnected
Notification notification = new Notification();
notification.defaults |= Notification.DEFAULT_SOUND;
notification.flags = Notification.FLAG_AUTO_CANCEL;
NotificationManager manager = (NotificationManager)
mContext.getSystemService(Context.NOTIFICATION_SERVICE);
// notify to all, manager.notify(0, notification);
I am facing few problems and have some doubts. I tried to search for answers in this post but could not find, so I am posting here for your people's suggestions:
1. Here I am using 0 as id for the notification. Is it good in practice. Since, I don't want to that this notification conflicts with other.
2. I have one doubt, about notification ids, e.g. if i keep my notifications id as 1 and some other application also have set that as 1. In that case, will my notification be updated. or Android treats, application's notifications differently.
3. Is it necessary to add FLAG_AUTO_CANCEL flag in my notification. Because, I think this is used when notification will appear in the status bar. But in my case, I have no UI. It means nothing will appear in status bar.
4. Currently there is one problem. When my notification makes sound, sometimes it seems that it is suppressed or distorted by any other sound or event. I am not sure what is happening there.
So i saw you can enter root files so that you can pick wav files or mp3s as alerts. so i was curious is there a way to set different sounds for different alerts...like sms, email, facebook...etc...all having different sounds for notifications?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have not been getting my audible email notifications and the green light that is normally flashing is not flashing. I can get my emails if I go to the email icon.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSuch as text messages, and others? This was, and is a huge annoyance on 2.1 unless using a third party app, which I don't. Has Google fixed this in Froyo?
