HTC Incredible :: Remove Items From Share Via Menus
May 1, 2010I don't use peep or facebook or regular mail or about 5 other things on this menu. Any way to trim this down so it only has the few methods of sharing I plan on using?

As Facebook allows only Urls to be posted I have used the Facebook SDK when I need to share a link, picture and message. So I am currently displaying an Alert Dialog with Facebook listed and the second option as Others where I would like to enlist the other items like Gmail/ Y!Mail and twitter etc to share data. I dont want Facebook to appear in this list. So please can anyone let me know how to show all applications except Facebook in the list or any other work around.

I don't like that when I click the internet or contacts it is in the same spot that I left it the last time I went there. Aug 13, 2010I am using an ArrayAdapter<CharSequence> to populate the items to list in a android.widget.Spinner. That works all fine. But now I want to keep the list of items dynamic, i.e. I want to be able to add/remove items from the selection list at runtime. However, when I call adapter.add(item) or adapter.remove(item) I always get a UnsupportedOperationException, even though the Javadocs of the ArrayAdapter class describe these two methods as to be usable for exactly that intended purpose.

Nov 18, 2010I am brand new to the Android world (replaced my lost iPhone4 with the sexy looking Captivate), and was wondering how to remove items from the default dock on the home screen. I use Gmail instead of the Mail app, so I would like to remove the Mail app and put Gmail there instead. I just rooted my phone using the walkthrough on this forum - what else do I need to install in order to gain this functionality?

However when I view "all articles" unread or not it lists everything it has pulled down. Here replpulateList() method will add to listview items. It doesn't remove/replace all listview items.
Samsung Captivate :: Way To Have Single Folder Show Received Items / Sent Items Combined?
Jul 21, 2010Had no problem getting my phone to play nice with our exchange server at work and emails are coming/going fine.
However, there are some configuration items I have a big issue with as it relates to the 'look' of the email (coming from a BlackBerry).
1. Is there any way to have a single folder show my received items and sent items combined? My BB had this and it was very useful.
2. How can I edit the way my folders are displayed at the top horizontal bar? The sidescrolling folder display is awkward, it puts my inbox first (good) but then all subsequent folders are listed alphabetically; it pays no attention to their order on my desktop and also shows sub-folders of other files. Any way to change this?
3. Is there a way to change the way emails show as unread? The difference b/n read and unread is only a shade of grey, and difficult to see outside.

HTC Incredible :: Share Calendar Event Via Gmail
Aug 31, 2010One of my co-workers with the HTC Incredible asked me a question that stumped me. I'm supposed to be the Android person in the office also!
She was trying to email a couple of her calendar events to her husband. In a calendar event, if you hit menu, then share vCalendar, you get the options of Bluetooth, Mail, or Message. The problem is that the Mail option is only the Mail app and not the Gmail app. Other than going into the event and adding the email address under Guests, is she (and anyone else that would want to do this) SOL?
I mentioned just sharing the entire calendar via google calendar cloud service, but he doesn't have a smartphone and that's not how she wants to share it.

Oct 17, 2010I have an Incredible. 2.2 is on there (aka FroYo). I am reasonably happy with the stock implementation of Exchange support except that the phone seems to be intermittent in it's willingness to sync "As items arrive". I have the thing set to "As Items Arrive" for both peak and off-peak. Sometimes it will show new mail (and bing at me) on it's own. Other times it doesn't, though it does seem to initiate a sync after I turn the phone on and go the mail app (or look at the sync settings screen in the control panel).Any idea what is going on?

Oct 2, 2010Anyone else missing random meetings on your phone? I can't seem to find the pattern. Some have a URL, some just a con call #. Yet I can recreate test meetings with both and they come through the device. Here's what I've tried:
-I've remove the account and recreated it, but the problem remains.
-Upgraded to 2.2 OTA
-Rooted, installed CM6 and Virtuous 2.7, issue remained with both.

Jun 7, 2010I searched but couldn't find this problem. I use the Google Sync software on my PC to sync Outlook 2003 to my Google Account. I use the 2 way sync option.
When I create an appt. on my Inc. it shows up in my Gmail calendar fine but when the gmail calendar syncs to outlook that appt does not show up in the outlook calendar but goes directly to my "deleted items" folder and shows an appt date of 12/31/1997 no matter what date it is scheduled for.
Appts made from outlook synced to Google work fine and vise versa. Only appts made on my phone have this issue. I hope this makes sense and any help would be appreciated since I love the fact I never have to connect my phone to my PC.

I have created a list activity menu with 8 options and I have eight classes with further options. My problem is how to link the menus together. I ask the question and someone said that I should map.
