HTC Incredible :: Load A 2.2 Rom ?

This is probably a stupid question, but I have looked through a majority of threads both here and XDA and can't find a concise answer for it.
I have my incredible rooted (did it the original way), recovery is installed (first from unrevoked2, then I updated to the newest CWM using 3.1), and I have an older hydra kernel.
I want to load a 2.2 rom, but I haven't updated my radio yet, today I did the s-off unlock.
Do I need to just drop the new radio image on my sdcard and let it do its thing in hboot, then install the 2.2 rom?
My main concern is the old hydra kernel, I don't know if it is incompatible with 2.2, for the record the version listed on the phone is "2.6.29-cc1c2268 root@laptopone #7".

I have been assigned the task to use an android tablet to run a single app in an enterprise setting. Ideally, when one switches on the tablet this app should be loaded perhaps during startup and the user need not step out of this app. The app logic itself is rather easy but I am wondering if it is at all possible to load a single app during load and not allowing the user to step out of it.

I currently use the SenseUI Messaging App for SMS. I had tried HandscentSMS but ultimately decided to go back to the SenseUI implementation, due to the way the app displayed the notification when I unlocked the phone (under the unlock slide bar). I've been texting the a certain special someone quite often, somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000+ messages at this point. I notice, that when I want to bring up her thread, the phone slows down and it takes a 10-20 seconds to come up. Other threads, take only a second or two to load. I assume this is because the HTC app is effectively trying to load all 1000+ messages. Is there a way to limit the amount of messages viewable or a way to archive the messages to my sd card?

First and for most I just want to say, I love my Driod Incredible. Its lighting fast and puts my friends iPhone to shame every time he want to have a web page loading contest lol. But as of last night, my phone has been acting really awful and strange. I updated a few apps that I use and then tried to go into "handcent SMS" and it would force close every time and wouldn't open at all. I try to click my "phone button" to dial a number and it just says "Loading" forever and I get the same "Loading" screen with my contacts. I have no idea what to do and would really appreciate any help I can get.

I have a Thinkpad Laptop running XP Pro. I haven't been able to load the HTC Sync application.
I have downloaded the current version HTC_Sync_2.0.33.
Here is what happens:
Language message opens, selected english
Preparing to install window box opens. Starts decompressing HTC PC Suite.msi.
Then the installation stops and I get a Windows installer message window. It lists all of the install and display options. Clicking OK at the bottom stops the install.
I have all of the windows updates. Any ideas what setting on my laptop is crashing the install? I have loaded it successfully on other computers.

My wifes phone needs to go back. It was rooted, with S-Off. I ran S-On, but can not load a stock recovery. I tried using the one posted by adrynalyne, which I think was for 2.1, and it would do it check but not ask me to update.
I then opened the leaked ruu and took the recovery image and created a new PB31IMG file (with the txt file from adrynalyne's recovery) but again it didn't take.
Is it because I have S-On back on? If so, what are the steps to get this thing back to stock so I can send it back? I have been trying different things for the last 4+ hours and not sure what else to do.

So i know my incredible has 8gigs of internal space. When i first got my phone and i plugged it in it would ask me "do you want to connect as usb drive" i would hit yes.. and it would load two hard drives one my computer
HD1. was my SD card
HD2 ... was my internal 8gb
Now, same thing happens, but
HD1. i can load no problem (SD CARD)
HD2, click on and it says "must format"
What gives? my phone can still see all my pictures/music from the internal memory though.
BTW i am running CyanogenMod

Is it possible to load a layout XML at runtime and load into activity?
In my app, I have various types of data like Person, Company, City, etc; The requirement is to dynamically load the layout, find views by tags (property names like Person.name, Person.address) and then fill in data. For example, if user has selected an object of type Company, we want to load a company.xml layout, inflate it and then associate various properties (company name, company slogan, city, address, revenue) to tagged views. One possibility I see here is - each view in the layout will be associated with property-name as tag and then appropriate data will be loaded in appropriate views.
What should be the best design you would recommend?

Is anyone else having a problem with their browser hanging to load a website and then the only thing that corrects it is restarting the phone? I have having zero issues with this phone except for this. And if not for this, I would probably rarely restart my phone. Sometimes I will pull up the browswer and the bar will fill with about 75% green and then just stop. I try to relaunch the browser, refresh and all of that good stuff to no avail. Once I restart the phone, everything is fine. I am using the stock browswer by the way. Is this a browswer problem? Should I try a different one? Or is it a phone/software problem?

Went to my homescreen and it was blank except for my background. A soft reset wouldn't load sense either. I have changed nothing on my phone, non rooted.What would cause this and how can I get all my sense widgets back?I realize this might get moved, but no one visits the support and troubleshooting forum on here, and I need quick help.

I have clockwork recovery installed, and was running running Ruby 1.1.1 when I started having some SD card troubles. The card was getting write protected so I couldn't delete anything off of it through a file explorer on the phone, or with either of my microSD adapters. I was rebooting the phone with no card in there today and it just hung on the white HTC Incredible boot screen.
I tried going into clockwork and wiping everything and reinstalling Cyanogenmod 6, but now it just gets stuck on the cyanogenmod load screen.
Clockwork is throwing out a lot of errors about E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (file exists) and CACHE:recovery/command.

After receiving the official OTA 2.2 update, my yahoo mail doesn't work. I got the low space warning three days after the update, so I deleted the HTC Mail accounts to start over since it had gotten to over 100MB. It loaded my msn just fine, but said that it couldn't authenticate my yahoo. I thought my PW was wrong, so I used the laptop to get a new PW, and confirmed it by logging into it on the laptop and again at work on the desktop. I went to add the new yahoo mail account to the phone, and I'm still getting the authentication failure message. Can someone please help! Yes, I still use yahoo for less important mail/notifications.

Got the OTA like everyone else and everything works great. The ONLY thing I have realized is that my photo Gallery (the stock one) is running SOOO slow. I used to be able to flick through the photos without ever coming upon a grey square (with no pic). Now, after a strong flick, I get nothing but grey squares. They eventually load into pictures, but it takes about 3 - 4 seconds before they load. Any ideas? Could it be there are too many pics in the phone / card or is this as a result of the update?

I was messing around with root explorer and noticed that i was able to delete my boot animation with it when i was mounted as R/W so i thought i would try to copy one and it also works... so no need to push with adb shell.. here are the steps
1. take the boot animation make sure it is named bootanimation.zip and copy it to your SD card
2. then open root explore and mount R/W and then navigate to the file and press on file till the menu comes up and select copy
3. then navigate to data/local and paste the file in the local directory
and you are done, this can be done with the android_audio.mp3 file as well just paste it to the same place.
just thought this would make it easier for people instead of using adb shell

I have no clue what's going on here but TB won't restore my contacts.I had 2.1 and installed the older 2.2 leak from over a month ago and was able to restore contacts then via TB (although I don't exactly remember how).I wanted the new 2.2 and downgraded the radio and returned to stock, did unrevoked forever and put 2.2 on my phone.I restored all my apps but the contacts are gone.They aren't stored on VZW or Google either.Am I missing something?I went through the system stuff in TB and clicked on everything that was green and restore app and data several times and then I restored just data a few times too and still nothing.I know my contacts are saved in here somewhere.

I have a quick question, I'm running the latest FrankenROM with Sense from 8/22/2010 with the stock kernel and the 2.15 radio. How do I install the streaming audio fix? My pandora sounds terrible now. Is it done through adb (if so, can anyone type up the instructions/commands) or do I just put it on the SD card and load it through clockworkmod?

I have had the Droid Incredible for a month and a half now and my text messages are filling up. One girl I have 2500 messages from and the loading is pretty slow. Its pretty annoying waiting to reply and everything else on the phone is lightning fast so I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how to have them speed up or settings that would help. Please tell me anything that would make these messages load faster.
P.S. I understand deleting the messages will make it fast but erasing them takes way too long and its annoying. Also i need a lot of my messages.

I recently rooted my Incredible and installed the leaked 2.2 update. Since then, occasionally when I go from one app and then click the home button, it flashes and then shows the HTC white screen and then it takes time to load all my home screens back up. It seems to me like HTC Sense is rebooting.

So I downloaded the unroot file, installed it onto the SD card (formatted by the phone), and when I load Hboot it finds no update. It just brings up the normal menu (fastboot, clear storage, simlock, etc.).

Two issues that are bugging me...
1) Is there a way to avoid notification sounds to take place during media playback, mainly music player, without having to change my sounds profile to silent, or vibrate?
2) All of a sudden my phone is taking a little long to load SMS conversations. Is there a way to fix that? I feel as though my Snapdragon shouldn't lag when I open a text.

Ok here is the deal every time i hook my evo to my desk top. window pops up and asks me to scan and repair the device. Ive done it and tried to load new music to the phone and it says can not read source files but i can plug in my wifes bb and everything works phone has been rest and the card was reformated fine?
