View 1 Repliesim privileged to be one of the few people in my circle of friends that own a droid and i blow them away in many feature comparisons as they all have iphones or blackberries but i noticed through the apple app store there were many cool apps where you can just shake the phone for certain features like wake-ups notifications and even being used in popular games just wondering what Android has that has that kinda cool "shake" feature i think it would be sweet.

I am looking to get one of these and wanted to know if you can get them for HTC phones. I have seen the generic ones which plug into the earphone socket, but ideally wanted one which connected to the bottom of the my Desire via the micro USB so i had no wires anywhere. the Ipod/iphone one my mate has just clips onto the bottom using the charging port. Also, has anyone found a good site for HTC accessories?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo we all know our Incredible, is well Incredible. But how does it wake you up? Certain app? Song? ETC.
For me after running Lightning Bug all night, my smart alarm clock wakes me up playing Lady gagas Alejandro... :-)
So I've been trying to use a MP3 sound for my alarm clock on my Incredible, but haven't had any luck other than just the "Light" "Instance" etc... what do I have to do, to get an actual song to be on that list to wake me up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been noticing that the Calendar is always at the top of the partial wake usage when I check it in spare parts. As of right now my phone has been unplugged for 3 hours and the calendar has held a 30 minute partial wake lock. The second on the list is the Android system which has only held a 4 minute partial wake lock. Is this normal for the calendar to hold a partial wake lock like this? I heard about the Flickr bug but I do not sync my account with Flickr and never have. I'm not even syncing my calendar with Google currently.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDon't know if this was ever posted, never saw it. If you want to be able to wake your phone with the trackpad, go to the market and get "No Lock". Its an app to disable the slide down to unlock. Well I found out that the trackpad will now wake the phone. Just click the trackpad. No need for the top button. Also the side buttons will wake the phone. So if you keep your phone in your pocket be careful.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC Incredible. Sometimes when I want to hang up a call I can't get my screen to wake. Does it really sleep in the middle of a call? I feel like I should just be able to touch it and it should give me the hang up option.
Sometimes it responds nicely by lighting back up when I tilt the phone away from my ear and then I can press the hang up button, but other times I have the problem that I just described.
Anyone else having this issue with there Incredible? If i hit the sleep button to shut off the screen it will wake up when i hit it again. If i just let the screen time out it wont wake back up, but the touch buttons buzz but screen wont wake

View 41 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to wake the phone by pressing the trackpad button. (like the iPhone's home button, just converted ) I've looked around and can't seem to find a way to set this. I tried the "lockbot" app someone had recommended but it did more then i wanted and still didn't seem to enable that button to wake the phone. Any ideas?
View 49 Replies View RelatedWhen the INC is sleeping I can feel the vibrate or hear the notification sound, however, it won't wake up or let me know that I have something waiting for me just by glancing at it from a distance if it's sleeping. This isn't an issue if I am in a quiet environment, but otherwise it is. I have checked all the settings and there doesn't seem to be a way to make this happen.
View 19 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of any way to get the Incredible to wake up by pressing the optical trac-pad on the front instead of the power button up top?
I find the power button to be annoying and wish both would "wake-up" the screen.
Is there a way to use the optical mouse to wake my phone up as opposed to using the top button?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm following jonamerica's howto in removing bloatware, but when I get to "adb shell", I get "device not found". I've just mounted /system and am in ClockworkMod resovery, with USB connected (USB debug was enabled before I rebooted into recovery, do I need to enable USB debug while in recovery?).On my Windows XP device Manager shows Android Composite ADB Interface. When I type "adb shell", I get "error: device not found". adb devices lists nothing connected.I've searched this forum and googled a lot since bumping into this and haven't found a solution that works.
View 10 Replies View RelatedHave you ever picked up your wonderful device and heard it squeak? And even in normal handle I'm sure you've heard this happen. Well, if you look close enough it only happens on the right lower side when you press in.
On the left side there is a hinge that the cover connects into, while on the right side there is the microSD slot. This is where the plastic presses in as there is not a hinge keeping it tight.Fix ideas anyone? Any way to fill up the SD space?
When I click to open the app page it says not found. Anyone else get this? Anyway to update? Btw I have the 10.1 update that was posted here a month ago.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just so happened to walk into my local Verizon Wireless store today on my way home from work and what do you know, they had 2 Incredibles in stock. I bought both, one for me and one for the wife. She hasn't seen hers yet, she's out of town, but coming from an original Blackberry Storm, this thing is sick!
View 2 Replies View Relatedlast night I got tired of waiting for the 2.2 update so I installed unrevoked forever, 2.15 radio and the third wave rom from adrenyline. After all that went smoothly I decided to throw the standard clock undervolt hydra kernel in there too. After I did that I got sporadic reboots and the screen became very unresponsive. Also it seems to cause the phone to freeze whenever it has to wake up to play a notification sound or alarm...
Now I have to say that I had the same problem about a month ago when I tried one of the older Hydra Kernels, but I figured it would be fixed with the newer ones. My question is it seems that I am the only one with problems, all the posts I read about these things are positive with little or no issues. Am I installing it incorrectly somehow? Is anyone else having issues too?
I think I've found the battery culprit on my wife's new Incredible. We both got new Incredibles and pretty much set them up the same, except she has to use Good for Enterprise to manage her company email/calender. My phone sleeps like it should, but her phone has been awake 100% of the time since she downloaded Good. After a week of trying to figure out what is keeping her phone from sleeping, I think I have found the answer (and developed a mild case of OCD).
My question is: does anyone know how to set the sync interval for Good? The problem seems to be that it is constantly syncing, which never allows the phone to go to sleep (Up time = Awake time).
The things that sometimes a brute force shake would be most helpful for and that I would pay money to have my phone do:
1. Shake to full brightness. When it's too bright to see the screen, it's a PITA to try to get the brightness turned up.
2. Shake to current phone call. Occasionally, I exit the phone app and it's frustrating not to be able to hop back over there quickly.
3. Shake to unlock. It's annoying to always be swiping when I just want to quickly check something on my phone. A quick shake would be much easier as an option.
Is there any Listener able to listen for shake movement. when someone shakes the phone an event should be triggered ,how I'm supposed to do that ,any idea on this topic is appreciable.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been playing with the data given by the accelerometer, trying to work out how I can gauge a shake from front to back or side to side. This all seems straightforward enough. But I'd love to know the direction of the shake. So, if the user is shaking backwards and forwards, I want to know if the device is moving away from the user, or back towards him/her. I can't find any way of telling this.
