I just received a brand new Droid Incredible, SKU ADR6300VW2, as an insurance replacement from Asuron. I already purchased a Samsung Fascinate, which I plan on keeping. Is there a way for me to tell if I have a clean ESN on the Inc without opening the package?

I know I'm not the only one with this issue, but it looks like the red ear piece gets funked up pretty easily. At first I thought it was just a lint trap, but I think it might be a mix of lint and ear skin/oil. Has anyone found any ways to clean that out?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did a search but can't find any answers on this. Anyway, I am having a problem were I cannot open messages in a Gmail thread. Gmail app will display the last message, and the thread tabs behind will say "5 read messages" for example, but when I press on the tab for older messages in the thread, nothing happens. It will highlight the tab, but won't open older messages?
Anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?
A coworker of mine has an incredible, and since froyo she has only been able to open apps in landscape landscape. Every app...whether they are supposed to open that way or not. Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a way to correct it?

PackageStats(String pkgName)(cacheSize, codeSize, dataSize) returns always "0" Size of phys. file (java.io.File) in "/data/app" seems wrong/not completely. Has anybody any solution to get the total disc space used by an installed package?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the unrevoked package, moved the drivers onto the sd card, activated the reflash_package and my phone went about halfway through the process before stopping. It went through the white screen with the little green droids at the bottom and then the phone rebooted, but it never went through the last boot screen where it installs s-off. I disconnected my phone and everything works perfectly, but I have no superpermissions. Now when I hook my phone to the computer and run the reflash_package it hangs on "pushing hboot". I've tried it 5 times now and still nothing...

Say I opened Music and internet. Voice dialer, maps, and gesture search will have opened as well.
I'm attempting to override an Android View class to tweak the functionality just slightly. But I need to modify a field that does not have a setter method. I've placed the subclass in a package called android.widget. Why can't I access any of the package-private member fields? I notice that the compiler says they "cannot be resolved," rather than not being accessible. Does this have something to do with how Android.jar is built?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a question about the Calendar widget (the HTC one). I want to use the smaller of the widgets since I don't want the calendar to take up a full screen.
Is there any way to see more than one appointment without opening up the full calendar? You would think if you have multiple appointments in a day that you'd be able to flip through them from the widget, but you can't from what I can tell.
I want to clean up my SD card due to the fact that it has become rather full with all the flashing/nandroiding/rooting/etc. I was wondering if I could just wipe the SD card from the phone and everything will be ok or are there certain files that if I cannot delete. Obviously I would back up my SD card onto my computer before proceeding. Just wanted to get some feedback from someone who might have already done this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Evo Froyo 2.2 using unrevoked 3.2.1 I Installed Titanium and ROM Manger Premium and Wireless tether.2.0.5-pre9. Id like to flash the new OTA rooted myn-OTA_Supersonic_3.29.651.5-DEODEXED.zip ROM to get the better frame rate. I have never flashed before (not true, in the 70s in collegeerr, skip that) But I still have several unanswered questions.
1) I understand that even though this 3.29.651.5 is an upgraded ROM, I still have to flash it. If I were not rooted I could take the OTA upgrade from Sprint. So do I need to do a data wipe and wipe cache and dalvik cache using ROM Manger before I flash this new ROM version?
2) Someone told me I would use to Titanium Backup to backup all apps and settings, do a wipe, flash the rom, then restore using Titanium Backup If I do a wipe and then flash, and all apps are gone, how could I restore from Titanium? Isnt that gone too? Will restoring from Titanium also restore ROM Manager and the Wireless tether.2.0.5-pre9?
3) I also got this response, Also, don't forget to flash the new radios that came with the OTA Are these not included in the 3.29.651.5 rom? Do I have to hunt these up separately and flash them separately or with the 3.29.651.5 rom?
4) I have removed some bloatware programs such as NFL and NASCAR from the apps using Titanium. Ive read where some say they had to replace these to flash this update. Is that true? What happens if I flash and do not have those apps present?
As much as Ive read, I still see conflicting advice on how to proceed. When I read instructions on something, I usually see another post 5 or more down from someone else that then says, Oh dont forget to do So if anyone can help with these, Id appreciate it. I may develop new questions after this, but Ill be a step closer to having the answers and my first root.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy apologies for all the questions lately but after removing those widgets I no longer use from my EVO I've noticed that when long pressing on a screen and selecting widgets the menu shows those widgets tht were there as this:ff000000, #ffccccc, 0.0dip, 100.0dip, 200, 300, false, etc. My questions is how do I clean up this menu so it no longer shows the non existant widget? A factory reset or wipe?
