Well we just migrated our Exchange server from 2007 to 2010 and I cannot for the life of me get the Incredible to sync up to it.. I can enter all the info and it works (verifies account), but always "Fails to create account"... If anyone has insight, would be greatly appreciated! I can make whatever tweaks needed as I have full access to the phone and server.. It was working perfect on 2007

I am BRAND new here, and my Incredible showed up last night. I could not be more thrilled! This is my first smartphone (unless you count the LG Dare I had), and I am absolutely FLOORED. However, there is one thing driving me bonkers: Exchange integration.
I've tried about everything on my end. I found another thread where somebody had to have an exception for his account applied in Exchange (which worked for his HTC Hero, IIRC). I work in the IT dept. I'm fairly certain I could talk the network boys into letting me do that, but we can't even find that setting in Exchange 2007. Assuming that is even the problem, they're a little to busy to play with me and my new toy (I think they're just jealous ), and I can't do it myself.
Can anybody confirm whether the security exception is what my actual problem is, and where that setting is in Exchange 2007? If I could get them a little closer to the problem, they'll probably be a little more apt to get around to it.
I've got a Windows 7 laptop with Outlook 2010 beta on it. Loving 2010, but HTC Sync doesn't seem to want to work with it. I've asked HTC, and they say it don't work with 2010. If anybody knows a way of making it work with 2010. Alternatively, I'm considering buying Outlook 2007 to use instead. Does HTC Sync work with Outlook 2007? I want to sync contacts, calendars, and anything else it might sync!
View 13 Replies View RelatedContacts and Email sync just fine with Exchange 2007 on my EVO 4g (latest firmware update as of 7/26/10) the problem is the calendar sync.I can create single appointments on my EVO and they'll appear right away in the Outlook calendar. I can do the reverse in Outlook and they'll appear right away on the EVO's calendar. I can delete in both places as well.The issue is, any appointments that seem to be reoccurring don't sync over to the evo. I see them all in Outlook, but no matter what I do, I can't sync them to the EVO. I've tried setting the sync range to "All" in the calendar settings, manually refreshing, even slightly modifying the reoccurring appointment in Outlook and saving it, but nothing helps.
View 1 Replies View RelatedInteresting problem that I seem to have had out of the box (and which has started when I traded my old treo in for this android device): emails regularly disappear both from my Note, the exchange server and thus everywhere else as well, without any intervention on my part. My Note notifies me of new email, I glance at the overview, and sometimes no more than a few minutes later, that new email is completely gone.
Another interesting feature that popped up during testing is that emails sent from the device to this very account do appear in the sent items list both on the device and on the exchange server, but *only* at the inbox on the android device. And as with some of the regular incoming emails, these too disappear. As external emails (i.e. sent from for example gmail) thus far seem to stick, I am suspecting an issue with either activesync itself or exchange and activesync, but I can't be sure.
Noticed a few other threads both here and elsewhere about disappearing emails, but most (if not all) of these seem to be about POP3 where part of the default routine is of course deleting from the server. apps at issue:
- Android 2.3.6 and 4.0 (problem stayed after the upgrade)
- Default mail client on both versions (this particular exchange account has thus far proven a bit troublesome to configure with for example k-9 and touchdown)
- Exchange Server 2007 server / activesync
sync'd to exchange in 3 minutes despite never haven seen a droid before contacts, calendar and email (inbox and sent items) work flawlessly but I cannot open any type of attachment, because it cannot fetch them just sits there forever "fetching"
View 8 Replies View RelatedYesterday I noticed that my corporate email (i.e., Activesync) were no longer being synced to my HTC Evo (running Android 2.1). A little troubleshooting revealed the following: I could still send emails from the Evo via the synced account. My synced calendar and contacts continued to updated without error. I believe my company is running Exchange 2007, but I am not sure (and since the help desk does not officially support syncing to non-Blackberry phones, I doubt they will help me details or troubleshoot). In any case, a little Googling revealed that: This error is not specific to the HTC Evo (it happens on other Android phones).
A few folks reported that the error occurred seven days after Activesync was initially configured on their Android phone, and would reoccur approximately every seven days. In my situation, the only unusual item to note was that my mailbox had reached capacity on the Exchange server sometime during the period when my phone stopped syncing. However, freeing up space in my mailbox did not resolve the problem. In the end, I resolved the problem by deleting the Activesync account on the Evo and re-creating it. After doing that, all emails synced successfully.
I have a Small Business 2008 Server at home with Exchange 2007 tied to my RoadRunner account. Setting up my new EVO to use Exchange a month ago was a breeze and I haven't had any problems with it until this morning.
When I turned my phone on, I kept getting a trusted certificate error over and over. I am using a self-signed certificate on my server -- which I thought would give me a problem when I initially configured it, but it didn't. I was expecting to have to install the certificate manually.
After a few minutes, the message went away and I started receiving mail again. I haven't done anything major on the phone that might cause that, like installing an update.
I started using Exchange and a Windows Mobile device in 2003 which means I have suffered through that OS for over 7 years!! Now I have purchased the Evo, and must say I love the way it works except... It does not work well with Exchange. It appears that it will not sync calendar events (I get an error every time i try to sync). I called Sprint and they say it is a known issue and have no eta on a fix. It also does not have Task sync. I have tried TouchDown, but it appears it puts all your data in the TouchDown program and it is not accessible form the rest of the phone. What is the value of that?
View 12 Replies View RelatedDroid frg22d update stops syncing with exchange 2010 - Verizon Wireless Community. Apparently I'm not the only one with elevated frustration. Short version of the story:
- Spent hours on the phone w/Moto & Verizon explaining that my OG Droid will no longer connect to ActiveSync w/ Exchange 2010 SP1.
- Verizon & Moto both admit problem.
- Moto says they're working on it. Verizon says to pay $44.95 a month and it will work.
- If I hear one more "supervisor" tell me that it's my problem, and to either pay more, or use TouchDown ($20 app that sucks by the way) I am going to start a class action. Yes, I have the money, and no, I'm not bluffing.
- Please post your woes on this forum as I am starting a case # with the BBB on this matter and I need as much ammo. as possible.
I have an HTC HD running WM 6.5 and a HTC Magic running froyo. The HD syncs all sms via active sync with the exchange server.
Is there an app for android that syncs SMS with my exchange server?
We just upgraded to Exchange 2010 at work, and all our other phones work just fine. Evo, iphones, other Droid models, so it's not the server. This one phone is the only one we have that is a Eris and we can't get it to sync contacts. I have tried to clear the calendar storage, nothing, redid the account, nothing. It gets email and contacts just not the calendar and has the ! next to the sync circle. If anyone can please tell me how to resolve this it would be great. Been searching for 2 days trying to figure it out.

Right now I've enforced password requirements but that only allows pin based unlocks not pattern or face.
Are there any options to enable other types of unlock without removing security requirements at all within Exchange 2010?
My company is upgrading to exchange 2010 (from 2003) and ever since I moved my mailbox to 2010, every time I reboot I get a notification prompt to "Update Security Settings". This happens every time I reboot no matter how many times I accept it. I've tried deleting and re-adding the account, and it continues to come back every time I reboot.
The annoying part is that it doesn't seem to sync properly until a few minutes AFTER I've accepted these changes. It doesn't seem like this should be happening.
I JUST saw a commercial for the X and they advertised it 07.2010 versus the 07.15.2010. What the hell does this mean?

Has anyone had any issues syncing 2010 microsoft outlook calendars on their droid incredible? When I first set it up it was super easy and had no issues (i was on 2007). Then my work computer got upgraded to 2010 and it worked for a bit and now the calendar won't sync correctly. Contacts and emails have no issues. I get an error message on my calendar though and only certain appointments sync. I tried to delete the account and reset it but each time I did that it double up appointments in my work computer outlook and still didn't get all appointments on my phone. Now I am afraid to try that again since it is a pain to delete all the duplicates.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was going to hold out for DTG 3.0 but think that I really need this program. Also, I just read on DTG's site that the upgrade to 3.0 will be free. The unknown is when and if 3.0 will ever come out. Anyways, being not too familiar with DTG I have a few questions:
1.How do I get documents to and from my PC? Do I have to email back and forth? If I create a document on my PC and want to take it on the road to edit it how do I get it to my Droid Incredible for editing and then back to my desktop for printing, ect?
2.I use MS Office 2007 on my PC will this work with DTG?
3.What are some overall impressions of how this app actually works?
I have an HTC desire and can get the device to talk to my PC running Windows 7 64 bit OK mounted as a disk drive. However when I go to sync my contacts etc it fails immediately when trying to sync (using the sync mode) with Outlook 2007 32 bit.
It says: items synchronised 0/1
Errors: 1 contacts.
I have finally for Samsung Galaxy S I9000 and Kier to run together, but now there are problems with sync. Outlook 2007th My contact persons energy comes over fine but my calendar does not - with others or going this problem - and is there a solution?

I managed to get everything set up how I want it but have a problem syncing the phones calendar with my MS Outlook 2007 calendar. Some of my seem to be missing on the Hero or in the wrong date to the Outlook calendar. The same happend with the contacts, but that fixed after snycing again. However, the calendar is still messed up!

1. Can't open any of MS Office 2007 files like docx,xlsx, pptx. Do I have to buy Officesuit or documents to go, or quickoffice programs to open these? Any other free softwares that anyone know about? These are really show stoppers to me.
2. Is there anyway to copy entire email (Text part) and save it as a file or txt memo? Or can you highlight a paragraph in email, and save it as a text of copy to memo file? No luck so far, I can't even select desired part of email text...
3. Can you easily capture a screenshot and save it as a jpg file?
The sony ericsson PC companion can only sync with its website and i don't want to put my contacts online. I tried this www.android-sync.com but it is at very early stage and does not work well. Heard of a companionlink.com but haven't tried it yet. Anyone tried? Any other good ones?

Haven't had a call from the Exchange police yet. Just an FYI in hopes to save a few people some money.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen using various 2.2 leaked builds or cooked ROMs, I had problems with activesync behaving properly. I even loaded and rooted the leaked 'official' Rom that came out yesterday and it didn't sync right. Constant sync, sync errors, etc. I reverted back to 2.1. I downgraded to 1xx radio and original hboot today in hopes that the actual ota will not have the same 2.2 ActiveSync issues I had with cooked builds. I am now thinking that if the official I had yesterday wasn't right the ota won't be any different. Is there a known problem with 2.2 having activesync issues? Do I want to not upgrade to 2.2 until this issue is revolved?

I had no problem connecting my work e-mail to the Motorola Droid but when I try to connect it with the HTC Incredible it doesn't work. I am using all the same information as the Motorola, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Incredible?

Last week i dropped the my inc, broke the glass and got a new inc from asurion, which shipped with 2.2. I never installed the 2.2 on the old phone. Since the new phone, none of my work emails pop. If I open the mail app it syncs. I deleted and reinstalled the account a few times and no change. Anyone with these issues with 2.2 and know how to correct it?Also my phone is not rooted.
