Sometimes when I 'Tap to compose' after reading a text message the keyboard will slide up but will not allow me to type and the text area is grayed out.I can press the keys on the keyboard nothing will show on the screen.Any ideas?

I have several different screen layouts when I slide to the left or to the right. As of 5 minutes ago, when I press the Home key, it goes to the home screen, but then automatically slides to the screen to the left, and then slides again to the left. I dont know if this might be something I accidentally programmed without knowing, or if its just some kind of bug.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhile texting on the full keyboard, why did they force us to use the exit keyboard(lower left) icon instead of oh say making that one the SEND icon and once pressed have it auto kick you back to the main text screen or put a send icon somewhere along the text screen itself like they did with shorter keyboard? I still don't see how this was overlooked.

Then I switched to an Eris where I had the option of using the qwerty keyboard on landscape OR I could hold it upright and use the numeric keyboard with T9 like I did on my slider. I always held it upright and was very happy. I was having reception issues with my eris so I traded it for a Moto Droid. Is there an option for the numeric type of keyboard becuase it takes me friggin forever to type a text.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA few days ago, my phone got the lastest 4.3 update. Since then, I've noticed that the texting keyboard is different. I am not a fan. You're now forced to hit the swooping arrow to skip auto-correct, which is my biggest complaint.
Is there a way to reverse the update?
I have several issues with Sprint. Dropped calls mainly, sometimes 4-6 times during one conversation.My main irritation right now is that if I'm in the text screen or any messaging screen for that matter and I get a call my phone screen goes black and I can't answer it. It won't even let me silence the ringer.I love all of the things that this phone does, the whole android deal is awesome but lately I am seriously missing my blackberry.Will rooting help ANY of these issues or is that a waste of time?I have already watched the tutorials and written down the steps, just such a noob I'm scared. I will try it if it will help any of these issues though.

Now I can read contents in internal SD but can't write it. I checked up with root explorer, finding the file sysytem is "read only". After toggling it to R/W, the storage can be written by root explorer but still can't by other apps.

p.s. When connected to PC as massive storage device, it can be read and written.
Few months ago i installed CM9 on my Galaxy Tab 7+. Everything worked fine to begin with, but after a while i was unable to delete stuff off my microsd card. I wound up buying a new card, copied the music and tv off the old card and installed it. Same problem. Now i have 2 microsd cards that I'm unable to write to at all. I can't write anything to them, can't delete anything off them and can't format them. I've tried using them both in my phone and on 3different Windows PCs with the same results. I have tried the SD card write fix referenced in the Galaxy Tab Plus development section and that didn't fix anything. The problem seems to be with the cards themselves, not the tablet (and phone and multiple pcs).

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe screen on the X10 mini pro is pretty small, but why make it even smaller when texting by taking up the bottom portion of the screen with the language of the keyboard? I do not envisage myself ever needing to change the keyboard language, well except for when I have changed it by mistake, by accidently hitting the language bar that shouldnt be there?

I can't send a text message, and whenever I attempt to send a message, it simply comes back saying "Message Not Sent". It is highly frustrating.I have been into the Phone Information, under Testing, and it says that my GSM Disconnects is inactive, and the fail is because No Error. Why is this? I've swapped the SD cards around - i.e. the 4 GB SD card which it came shipped with is now inside my HTC HD touch It doesnt have a problem reading or writingto the 4 GB SD card that it came shipped with. I would prefer not to have to format the card

Longtime lurker first time poster, so I just got swype over the weekend and I love it, but gmote touch-pad does not. Cant use the keyboard functionality to write anything into search bars, forms, etc. so I have to switch back to the regular keyboard just for that app
Not a big deal if there was an easy way to switch back to normal, but for the life of me I cant figure out how. I know to change INTO swipe you long press the "123" key and it brings up input method options, once im in swype how can I quickly get back to that options menu?

I flush and close out_stream. I can even seem to be able to read from the file on the device (printing above output, using fileinputstream, to an edittext.
How can I get to this file on the sdcard?
Hope someone can help, when I get a MMS message with a slide on my HTC Desire the slide only stays on the screen for about 5 seconds, is there any way I can change the time out to make the slide stay on the screen longer.

During this time I've noticed that on occasions the screen will slide to the right without me touching the screen.For example sometimes when I unlock the phone the homepage will slide to the far right, or when viewing a web page it slides to the right.Sometimes this is quite subtle and not too much of a problem. Other times the phone is unusable as a result and requires a restart.Initially I thought this was due to me putting the phone in my pocket without a case. However the problem occurs even after my phone has been sat on my desk all day.There is nothing unusual about my environment, the temperature is average, no direct sunlight or moisture.

I don't have a lot of apps on my phone, I have froyo, I don't have a lot of music on it, I mean.. I text a lot, but lately this slowdown has been pretty bad. Freezing every few minutes, locking up, having to lock the phone unlock it to work, sometimes having to reboot it.
