View 1 Replies View RelatedAny user friendly android app which can effectively show which apps cause memory leaks on a phone?
I can only find developer tools to detect memory leaks within apps like Eclipse MAT. Sadly I'm not a developer so I would rather prefer just a list of apps to uninstall and not the exact cause of memory leak within a specific app.
So this has probably been answered at some point but I am new to the forum and cannot find it anywhere. I'm looking to remove preloaded apps like sprint tv, nascar, asphalt 5.I am already rooted is there an uninstaller app or something?

I have a Galaxy Nexus which has a lot of ram. I only use some minor applications but it seems the system kills the processes which are only several mb all the time.
When I check my free ram its mostly half empty. Is there a way to tell android to keep an app in memory?

I am about to get my first Android phone. It is a Motorola Flipside (I am on a budget and I need a physical keyboard; hopefully, if you didn't hate me for posting a new thread you will not hate me for buying a Flipside). The phone comes with Eclair, but can be upgraded to Froyo. When I do this, I know that I will have less than 100MB of free space (could be as little as 60MB) on the internal hard drive, but I am not sure how much less, and I don't want to mess around with moving too much bloatware or rooting. In order to get the apps that I have preselected to all fit, I'm going to need to get them in a certain order. I should get the ones that I can move to SD first, and then get the ones that are not able to be moved.
I have heard that App 2 SD is a good program, although Froyo can probably do it on its own. Do I need App 2 SD?
I am wondering which of the following large-ish apps can be moved so that I don't need to install apps only to be forced to delete them because they cannot be moved:
1. Battleheart
2. Battleloot
3. Modern Conflict
4. Plague, Inc.
I've occasionally had some issues with seeing the white HTC screen between switching apps and what not, is this because all of them are on my phone? Is it better to put some on the sd card?
View 7 Replies View Relatedi am new with using android phones i have Samsung Galaxy Core GT-i8260 i think i made it root by using Framaroot app 1.6 (with Gandalf option) ... so i triad a lot of apps but it didn't work .. i always got this error :: " 'App2SD is not supported by your device. Because your device has a primary external storage which is emulated from the internal storage. You can link the app in order to move its files to your SD card "" i tried link2sd and app2sd and move 2 sd i think this thread is mention befor but i found no answer .. so i said lets refresh it ...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought iball andi 5li android smart phone a few days back. The configuration of the phone is:
512mb ram
4gb internal
1.2ghz cortex a9 processor
android 4.1.2
Although my device runs almost every app out there (including temple run, subway surfers etc.) but occasionally im facing problems.
Problem occurs after 3-4 days of restarting the phone. When i restart and check the ram usage it says 350 mb (approx) as used and 150mb(approx) as free ram every app runs smoothly but as days pass by gradually the free ram starts decreasing down to 30 mb where all the apps (games and browsers) start crashing with a low memory message. then the conditions get worse after approx 2 hrs free ram is now 0.0 bytes and even the launcher, settings etc crash with a low memory message. The only solution out is to restart the phone.
[used androids before and is quite aware of closing or killing apps but none is working]
Already Tried:
# removing apps from recent list
# stopping apps from Setting>apps>running apps & cached apps as well
# restoring to factory defaults
# used ram freeing apps (no change on ram)

Hope you guys can help. Since the 2.1 update I have certain apps which appear to be opening in the background when I didn't open them. I have Advanced Task Killer, and when I go in for example it shows Messages running, when I kill it, it will reappear in 30 secs or so, the same with MP3 store. Can these apps be stopped so they don't take up memory or what's the deal here. Thanks for any help.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got myself a new 16gb memory card, and want to put in my rooted Hero with Elelinux 1.6, but having trouble.Heres what I've done so far:
* I copy/pasted everything from my old membery card onto my pc desktop.
* Put new mem card into my hero - sorted out the partitions (in case I go back to 2.1 and need app2sd)
* Formatted the sd card within Android
* copy/pasted everything from my pc desktop onto my new memory card
The problem is, none of my installed apps/widgets are there. I tried to install Titanium from the marketplace, but for some reason wasn't able to - it just sort of hung on the download screen, (even though I didn't actually choose to download it?)
I just got my Incredible a few days ago and I'm still learning it. So far its much better than my old Blackberry. I just have a question as to if this is normal or if I have a defective phone. When I got into running apps under settings its shows on the bottom (the numbers of course vary) Avail: 64+219 in 25 and Other 60mb in 4. As soon as I open then browser and go back and check it goes to Avail: 58mb+0.00b in 25 and Other: 0.00b in 4. I checked my fiancee's Moto Droid and it isn't doing this. Is it normal with the Incredible or is my phone defective?
View 9 Replies View RelatedOwn a Desire, which I love.. I can mess about on it all day and never get bored. I am however frustrated by the fact we have the ability to put apps on SD but not many developers allow there apps to run from the SD card?? Google are poor at this also! Just wondering if any one knew why developers seem so unwilling?
