HTC Incredible :: Weather Widget Showing Wrong Weather
Sep 17, 2010So I got the 2.2 Update. If I try adding the News & Weather widget, the weather is always wrong. Always has the sun on all night and temperature is wrong too. I checked all options of course, should work fine. Has anyone else encountered this?

Nov 12, 2010When I try to refresh friendstream is gets permanently stuck on "updating" and the only way to get it to work again is to restart the phone.More often than not I can't view updates on my phone because it just gets stuck, but occasionally it will work once. but if I try again I'm not so lucky!Anyone have idea what's wrong? It used to work perfectly before the Froyo update. It's been hit and miss ever since.

May 14, 2010The weather widget on my Incredible shows my location correctly, but the actual temperature reading is usually somewhat off of the temp from the weather channel widget (right now it is 7 degrees less). Does anyone know where HTC gets its info from? I like having the temperature displayed under the clock, but not if it is inaccurate. I also compared the HTC temp to a reading off of a wireless window thermometer and it did not agree.

Nov 26, 2010When i update my status on friendstream, it automatically updates my facebook and twitter status. I'm trying to figure out how to only update my FB status when I post to friendstream, without updating my twitter status BUT still receive other people's twitter updates. I've tried unchecking 'sync friend' and 'sync peep' in settings but that didn't work. evo 4g.

May 11, 2010The HTC clock that has the weather foreacast on it is not updating, or rather, not holding the setting when I say YES to automatic update
I go into Menu>Setting>Update automatically, click on the box, then get the Data warning "this may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. Enable automatic download of weather data"
Click on YES
then I back out, and go back in to the setting, and the box is UNCHECKED again.
It's not holding the update yes setting.
HTC Incredible :: Weather App Not Updating / Get It To Activate And Stick?
May 8, 2010I hope I'm not alone in this (then someone could know the answer). I have noticed my stock HTC weather app will not automatically update any more.
I noticed it after the update HTC sent out (don't know if they are connected, just trying to give all the facts). I have stopped and started the Incredible, activated and re-activated the widget numerous times.
After going into settings and turning on auto updates I can back out and go back in and it is not checked. I can't get it to activate and stick.

Jun 13, 2010I have two EVOs at home (mine and the wifes) and both have the same problem, the weather app is set to use the gps location yet it returns the wrong location. The location isn't just off a little bit either, it reports our location as being a city over 160 miles away. I find sometimes the gps reports the location wrong in the maps as well. Is there a way to calibrate the how, and is anyone else experiencing this issue? It doesn't seem to be signal problem as I am in a strong 4g location and when off of 4g always on 3g.

Sep 24, 2010I'm loving the ROM so far, does anyone know how to remove Friendstream. I tried to use the regular adb commands to move it to apps.disabled but it didn't work. Then I realized that on the Virtuous site he said some apps were put in disabled folder. I still see it in the app drawer and am looking to get rid of it.

Jun 23, 2010Is there any way to fix the Friend Stream force close issue without a factory reset? I feel like that would be a huge hassle just to get this app to work again.
Also, whenever I receive a message in my inbox on Facebook the page just doesn't load when I try to access it from the Facebook application. I am always forced to go to the Facebook mobile site to check my inbox and I can't do it through the app.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Emails Not Updating Since Update
Nov 24, 2009Has anyone else had a problem with their emails not updating at the time interval they have it set to (or at all) since the update? At first, no matter how many times I refreshed, my new mails were not showing up. I tried deleting my email account from my phone and then adding it back. This fixed the problem for a day or two, but now I am having emails show up twice in the inbox, and my phone will update basically whenever it wants to. I only realized this, because every time I have checked my mail on my computer I have 5-10 emails more than are showing up on my phone. WTH?

May 4, 2010I have friendstream running, and it seems to update twitter just fine, but for some odd reason facebook status messages don't get updated unless I manually refresh.
I have double checked everything too, it should be checking every hour, so I have no clue what is going on. Anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone know of a solid workaround?

Jun 30, 2010I am using the HTC Clock widget that also shows the weather (default widget on home page) but it doesnt update the location or weather. I have turned off GPS and background sync to save battery and I am assuming this is the reason why it isn't updating. Can someone confirm this is the reason? BTW I absolutely love the phone!

Jul 17, 2010After the phone has been in hibernation mode for a while, when I bring it back up, my weather, and sometimes location is not updated. This just started happening a few days ago, and the only thing I can think of is that an app I installed in the last few days may be conflicting with it. I have read some posts from people with similar problems that can't get it to work at all. Mine will display the correct weather conditions and location if I hit the refresh button. I have had the phone almost a month, and up until a few days ago, it did everything automatically. I have not removed any components or applications.

I have manually set my location and each time i want the weather to update i have to go in settings, choose auto-location, then set location manually again, then press back and now it updates.
