I'm loving the ROM so far, does anyone know how to remove Friendstream. I tried to use the regular adb commands to move it to apps.disabled but it didn't work. Then I realized that on the Virtuous site he said some apps were put in disabled folder. I still see it in the app drawer and am looking to get rid of it.

Also, whenever I receive a message in my inbox on Facebook the page just doesn't load when I try to access it from the Facebook application. I am always forced to go to the Facebook mobile site to check my inbox and I can't do it through the app.
I love Friendstream. I like being able to view my Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr all in one place. But it seems to eat up all my batter power. After I stopped using it my battery lasted a lot longer. Are there any other good battery friendly replacements for Friendstream?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have friendstream running, and it seems to update twitter just fine, but for some odd reason facebook status messages don't get updated unless I manually refresh.
I have double checked everything too, it should be checking every hour, so I have no clue what is going on. Anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone know of a solid workaround?
Am I doing something wrong? I have all of these set up to update every hour, and they never do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy friendstream is blank, with an empty screen saying "no recent updates". When I've removed the widget from my home screen and put it back again, it claims to be loading for a while and then says no recent updates again. When I use the arrow button in the top right hand corner it says that "Sorry the application friendstream (com.htc.friendstream) has stopped unexpectedly please try again." with a button that says force close, which takes me back to the blank screen.
Have you seen anything similar what can I do?
Does anyone have a friendstream APK i could use on my droid.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI use twitter to follow various people in the F1 fraternity, the friendstream widget is pretty handy, so I use that on a homepage. A few times now I've noticed that it fails to update from twitter - it simply doesn't get any new stuff. If I go in to peep that also doesn't update. if I start the twitter app they are all there.
Anyone else noticed this / found a solution ?
Last time it was out of a couple of days and then just started working again.
As it says in the title, friendstream refuses to sync at all with facebook. It syncs to twitter just fine, however. Any fixes for this?

I'm trying to figure out how to only update my FB status when I post to friendstream, without updating my twitter status BUT still receive other people's twitter updates. I've tried unchecking 'sync friend' and 'sync peep' in settings but that didn't work. evo 4g.

I am new to rooting, just started messing with it yesterday. I followed JONAMERICA's site to rooting, reflashing to stock with S-OFF, and going with the manual radio and rom update.
Then, to delete apps I followed his instruction as well, but whenever I type in command prompt "cdsd ools" it says directory not found...
I want to remove voice dialer, news, google search, gmail, and friend stream. I know that Virtuous has a EZcustomizer, but it doesnt remove these apps that I want off.
Also, any ideas as to why its working so slow? Like... it lags when i go from screen to screen, loading apps take a bit longer than when I was on 2.1 last night... once again, slightly unhappy face...
I followed everything else to the letter...

Just installed SetCPU and now its time to remove my bloatware.I have found MANY different ways to remove it posted online, can someone please recommend a simple easy (fool-proof) way for me to remove them? 1. I'm coming from an iPod Touch keyboard and have been continuously hitting the period that is next to the space bar. Does anyone know if there is any way to remove certain keys from the keyboard? I really don't need a period and comma right next to the space bar on the alpha side. I know it's nit picky, but I like having a bigger space bar. 2. I've noticed when logging into websites that require a Username and Password that I am having to remove the keyboard when I go from the Username field to the Password field. On my iPod there was a "Next" feature that would automatically advance the cursor. Am I missing something on the Incredible? Didn't see anything available for switching data fields.

They said let it cure for 2 days. If i remove it does it come off clean?It may protect good but the cheap ones at verizon look better.
