View 4 RepliesI did a factory reset yesterday, got everything up and running, now the only thing I can't remember is how to turn off the LED notifications for the default mail app and for the gmail app. The option isn't under the program's menu/settings screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSeems certain emails I get that are in HTML I cannot view.I just get a blank page or maybe one hyperlink.Any input on this?I didn't see anything as far as setup to resolve this. We're using an exchange server so any google email apps probably wont help.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHow do I get emails to display in html? My Pre displays all emails in html, my Sprint HTC Hero doesn't. It's hard to believe there isn't a solution for this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst off let me say this...best phone that has EVER touched my hands. Now that being said, does the native gmail app NOT have the ability to properly view html emails? I get emails from multi sources (I.e. Costco, Sprint, etc) that get loomed in and I have to pan around the email. I tried pinching or double rapping but o no avail. Anyone have a decent solution for said problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFollow these steps and you could save yourself the hourly push for emails. (This works for GMail). It sends you a text alert everytime you get an email. Most of the time in a matter of second. I used this method on my iphone to save battery life from email pushing.
- log on to you gmail account
- click on settings on the right top corner
- click on forwarding and pop/imap tab
- in the forwarding section click the "forward a copy of incoming mail to (at this point enter your 10 digit phone number@text.att.net)
- click save changes
You will now recieve a text message whenever you get an email. So all you battery hoggs can keep your push off if you want.
How do I turn on notifications for text messages but NOT for emails?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have heavily edited the original text and instead of the how question I am posting the code that produces the effect I wanted, namely a floating menu on top that stays fixed as I scroll whatever is in the middle with a lower menu at the bottom of the screen. Ain't life sweet - Might even work on the iPhone as well.
Why I posted was like I said in the original question. I'm fiddling with creating the initial lay out for a "mobile" application for the disabled, have tonnes of data, dictionary files, icons for the purpose etc. I want to have the app running as HTML to make it as portable as possible, i.e. make it runnable on Android, Iphone, Maemo... whatever.
I got some hints by looking at the example at http://www.quackit.com/css/codes/css_floating_menu.cfm as well as a lot of trial and error and finally minor edits by a paid freelancer.
Below you can find some crude (to put it mildly) HTML/CSS (cut the CSS part and load a style instead in the HTML's you create for cleaner code) but for now, let's look at the prototype concept.
CODE:...........
You can see the working example on your Android device or in your Android emulator http://globability.org/webapp/aaa.html
Need to get the sound working though - but nearly there :)Links to the different web based version and thoughts behind application can be found on:
The project this application springs from can be found on [url] - Look under prototypes (it is the top one under the heading protypes).
I;ve been trying to create a custom button in android using this tutorial - http://www.gersic.com/blog.php?id=56
It works well but it doesn't say how to change the font size or weighting. Any ideas?
There was another question on here and the only answer was to use html styling but you can't change a font size in html without using css (or the deprecated font tag). There must be a better way of setting the pixel size of the font used on buttons?
We'll this is a deal breaker for me, after being pretty happy with the RUU update and the speed improvement it brought to the stock music player. When using the turn by turn navigation, every time the voice comes in the player puts itself on pause. After the instruction is over it remains paused instead of resuming. Then I have to manually hit play again to resume playback. This is a big deal while driving since I don't want to be fidgeting with my phone every couple seconds. This was not an issue with 2.1 , since as soon as the turn by turn instruction was gone the music would automatically resume.
View 11 Replies View Relatedin Virtuous Rom 3.1 the Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation voice doesn't work...instead of speaking the directions, the voice rambles on about XML versions and a random website in a slow-motion voice. I'm shocked that I can't find any information at all about this on XDA or here.Does this happen to anyone else who uses Virtuous Rom 3.1? I tried to contact RMK via XDA PM but he hasn't responded yet, sent last night. I would really like a fix for this, Google maps navigation is fantastic.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen using the Exchange ActiveSync mail, I'm trying to enable the HTC Incredible to view e-mail in HTML format.I've gone to Settings --> Send & Receive... but the "Message Format" option is greyed out and not enabled.I then tried switching the "Mail size limit" from 10KB to "Entire Mail" as one user suggested for the HTC Hero on Sprint - but that didn't seem to work either.I've also seen in places that Exchange 2007 or 2010 is required to get HTML email... we're about to upgrade, but we're currently on Exchange 2003 - so that could be the cause of the issue for whatever reason.Has anyone had any luck with this on the HTC Incredible?

View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know why my emails, with the HTC mail client, keep disappearing? They only stay for about a day or 2 then disappearing. If outlook is open on my computer, I do not get my emails on my phone. Does anyone know how to fix this so I can always get my emails whether outlook is open or not? I think when my local computer receives an email, it removes it from my ISP server. I don't know if this makes any difference or not.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm coming from a Blackberry where you could "save" your email messages and they would be moved from your inbox to a separate "saved messages" folder. It allowed you to keep those important messages, while leaving your email inbox uncluttered. Is there a way to do that with Android?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just noticed for the past few days, my Incredible has been deleting my email off of my pop server account after I delete it (from Trash) out of the phone. Before you say anything, I have "Delete Email on Server" unchecked from the settings. So I checked it, shut off the phone, unchecked it and then sent a few test emails.
With it checked, it does delete my email after I delete it off of the phone - obviously. Unchecking it, sending test email and deleting it still deletes If off my POP Server. I am a little frustrated because I realized about 4 days of emails have been deleted, although I have copies of them on one computer. I know it didn't do this out of the box, only recently.
I am having issues with my Gmail push feature. I opted for the Gmail app instead of the HTC mail app. The only issue is my emails aren't being pushed to my phone. When I go into the Gmail app and click on accounts & check the settings it has Auto Sync checked and also the correct Gmail account. When I go to settings>Accounts & Sync> Auto Sync is checked there as well along with my Gmail account. I have sent numerous test emails from my work PC to my personal Gmail account but the emails aren't popping up as new notifications or even in the Gmail app until I actually open the Gmail app several minutes later. What is going on here? I thought Gmail was supposed to be a true "Push" mail client that worked on the Incredible.
View 23 Replies View RelatedI have checked the settings and I have the "delete from server" box checked and I went onto the server and the emails are not there but when I delete the emails on the app, they will disappear until the next time it refreshes itself. This is getting very annoying and it is crowding my inbox heavily. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am porting over from a blackberry and i used to use something called Blackberry email redirector. Which would actually forward the emails to me, as long as redirector was running on the desktop.
Since I dont have access to outlook exchange via wireless phone (i'm in tech support, but dont have exchange access from anything other than my desk).
Is there an app, or program, that will forward emails from my outlook inbox at work and forward to my D-Inc? Something like a blackberry redirector but for the D-Inc without having to use exchange?
I tried to do a forward rule in outlook at work to forward any email sent to me to my yahoo account, but for some reason the rule is not working and not forwarding to me.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get work email, without using exchange, any app or something like that ? that can send duplicates to my phone, and will allow me to respond with my work address?
