Oct 2, 2010So, I've just installed the two Hyra kernels and after checking the "about phone" section, I see the undervolt kernel has been installed. Now I've got a couple of questions.. 1. How do I know the overclock kernel was also installed? 2. Are there any settings or anything I need to turn the kernel "on" or is it automatic?

Sep 25, 2010Just wanted to drop and say thanks for all the great threads and guides here. The droid x was my first android phone and at the time "locked bootloader, efuse, etc" meant nothing to me so i got it. I do love my X and its been cool being in on the ground floor as stuff comes out, but now thats ive gotten into going beyond the standard user experience its kinda limiting.
I picked up a DINC off ebay kinda reasonably after selling my backup blackberry and a bunch of 360 games. Just came today and its been busy! thanks to the great info here, I rooted with unrevoked 3.21, s-off with unrevoked forever, and have been experimenting with different roms and kernels all day. Its been a blast.
Ive bootlooped a bunch of times but nothing a nandroid backup couldnt solve.
Until the X can offer what my new DINC does, I'm switching over to htc. Wish the screen was a tad bigger and had swype, but ill live!
HTC Incredible :: Hydra Overclock Boot Loop
Aug 19, 2010I have a rooted Stock 2.1 Dinc. Went to use the hydra kernel #1 and it put me into a boot loop. I am restoring my phone from backup so not a big deal but does anyone know why this may have occurred? I don't really need the overclock just thought I'd try it.

Aug 27, 2010I cant find anything about the question im asking. I am running SR 2.5.2 with OC hydrakernel #2. Im still new to rooting and kernels. So my question is if i flash kingxkernel do i need to use SetCPU in order to overclock? I know hydrakernel you dont and from what i see on just monitoring my cpu that it does in fact go up to 1.15 on its own. I want to flash kingxkernel and try it but dont know if it will just do its job or if i need increase the cpu once its on my phone. I like the way i dont have to mess with hydrakernel since i dont know much about the settings on setcpu.

Nov 22, 2010I installed the GNM 4 Turbo, with the overclock kernal on my Ally. Installed it through the recovery menu, just like I did to install Velocity. But, I cannot use it on my phone, no matter what I try. I end up with a kernal panic error instantly, or the desktop will load up, freeze, then restart, everytime. Sometimes I have to remove the battery to unfreeze it. My phone will only work at the stock processor speeds, but I want to overclock it. I followed instructions to the T, I have ROM Manager, and I know how to adjust the speed. But it will just not work on my phone. I see people going over 700 mhz, but I can't get above 600 without freezes and crashes. What can I do to fix this? I know the GNM is authentic, because I got it from the same page where I got the download for Velocity. I've cleared out the caches, restarted, everything.
