Anyone found a Vanilla Rom with TV Out or is there a way to fix the TV Out on CM6? I have CM6 right now and LOVE it but I really wanted to play my emulator games on my TV.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMods please feel free to move this if it's not in the right section. I'm running skyraider 3.0 rc2 vanilla and love it so far. There are only a couple of things that I miss from stock sense. The one that I am after is a bookmark widget. I can't find any on the market. This got me thinking about widgets in general. There should be a list of widgets somewhere for people going to vanilla Roms. Is there such a list anywhere? We need one similar to the rooted apps thread. Just a thought. And if someone has any thoughts on a bookmark widget, that would be awesome. Or would the stock one work and where can I find it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy husband just rooted my phone for me and I'm looking for a ROM that has the vanilla (I think that's what it's called) dialer. One of my main motivations for going root was to get rid of the awful HTC dialer. I know there are few ROMs out there that use DialerOne as a default but I'm looking for something more like the Moto Droid or the other vanilla ROMs I've seen. A few people are running WhiteWidow ROM but it looks like that one's been taken down for now.

So far, haven't found many:
- Google: Nexus One (2.1/2.2)
older versions:
- HTC: Magic (1.6 if I'm not mistaken)
- Samsung: i7500 Galaxy (1.5/1.6)
If any of you know other phones running vanilla Android, please help me update my list.
I'm also interested to know if a vendor's custom shell can easily be switched off to get the 'vanilla experience'. I've heard that that is no longer the case at least for HTC Sense.
I found a video which showed that by just turning off the Sense process, and then hitting the home button, you can stop the sense interface (though this may apply to the launcher only). In that case, HTC's Sense-equipped phones may qualify
Anyone know if we can change the lock screen from the sense lock to the vanilla lock screen?

I was able to apply the rotary one here [THEME] Rotary Style Lockscreen for EE 3.0 or CE 1.1 [UPDATED: 06/08/2010] - xda-developers
However, I can't seem to change it to the first one, which is the one I really like. Metamorph goes through and applies the XML and apk, reboots, but always comes back to the rotary one.

(for which i thank everyone) i've been looking into rooting and custom roms and whatnot for a while and last thursday i rooted and add the tainted vanilla v1.4 custom ROM and i love it. the wi-fi tethering and overclocking is so awesome. but i was wondering if my new rom automatically saves apps to the sd or if i have to enable this.

Took some time.Problems that I have with it:Every time someone sends you a message, it sends 2. It only notifies you of one, but two show in the thread. However, HTC (in their infinite wisdom) has decided that we really don't need a way to toggle bluetooth on or off during a call and has removed that button from their dialer. Bluetooth, what's that? A bluetooth toggle to be used during a call? No one would need that, let's code it out on purpose! Ok, enough ranting. Is there a way to get the vanilla froyo dialer on a Fresh (sense-based) ROM?
