HTC Incredible :: Link To Phone User Guide Missed
Apr 24, 2010I could have sworn I saw something about a link to the Droid Incredible User Guide. The only link I could find by Googling it is invalid. Was there an issue with the guide and was it taken down? It's raining here this weekend and I though I would take this opportunity to acquaint myself with the guide before I get my phone next week.

May 31, 2010I'm having trouble trying to find a way to guide a user from one point on a map to another. I can add the locations I want to the overlay. I want the user to be able to pick a location and be guided through the streets to that location. Does anyone know how to do this, or is it even available in the API?

Sep 28, 2010I have installed ultimatejuice, and i am slowly getting the hang of it. however, its not exactly self explanitery in use at times.I am sure i read somewhere (no idea where though, i just remember seeing it and deciding i wanted that app!), that someone had set it up so that when the phone was plugged into the usb charger (i.e. computer or car charger), then bluetooth would be turned on. but when it was unplugged or plugged into the wall, bluetooth was turned off.i am 99% sure that juicedefender was the app he used for it, but i cant work out how to do it.so, im wondering if its because i cant work out how to use the app, or if i have the wrong app?and even if i do have the wrong app, has someone come up with some sort of simplified user guide for it?

Nov 26, 2010I didn't bother backing up my applications, as I had quite a few installed that I didn't need to keep. I made a simple list on paper, and reinstalled everything afterwards. One irritation is the the User Guide application now says that it can't find the User Guide on the SD card, and offers the online version. Does anyone know if the 2.1 version of the onboard User Guide can be downloaded, what it should be named, and what folder it should be in? Or could someone even e-mail it to me, with instructions as to where it should be put?

Motorola Droid :: Comprehensive User Guide That Details Everything?
Nov 25, 2009I've seen the DROID users guide online and of course the one that comes with the device. But there are a Lot of things missing and honestly I don't want to have to always "figure it out". Is there some comprehensive guide available that details everything? For example, I'm using a widget that came with the phone, I think its the Power Control widget. There is one control on there (looks like a Refresh icon). I have no clue what it does. Lastly, does anyone know if Moto, Google, Verizon has a feedback forum. I like the phone and it has some really cool features, but I have some feedback (positive of course) to help them improve it.

Nov 19, 2010Unfortunately I seem to have had a senior moment and lost the built in user guide for my handset(Xperia X10 mini pro) in the process of replacing my memory card and formatting the one received with the handset (yes I was actually that stupid). Can anyone possibly help me in locating a copy that I can transfer to my phone please?I know I can view the instructions online from my laptop or the handset itself but I would like to get them back on the handset just in case, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nov 1, 2009I posted a reply with this info but i decided it would be better suited if i posted a new thread about what i got. anyway here's a quick summary.... user manual has well what do u expect. but the launch kit has info from a variety of stuff including prices(2, 1, and no year prices), Specs, Product Codes(SKU, UPC, and so on), Accessories, Target Audience, Guick Start Guide, And SO MUCH MORE!!!! Mostly used for employee training and the like. Anyway its a must see whether your the curious type or you just want to know every little bit about the Droid. Let me know what you guys think.

HTC Incredible :: Dinc Root Guide Not Working
Nov 11, 2010Ok so I cant get my dinc rooted, not sure why I have done this and checked it You must install the HOOT-Capable Universal Drivers. This took me a while to figure out how to do this because there is no directions how to check the SD card. I did it by mounting as diskdrive, when I clicked on comp there where 3 new drives, I found the one that was 1.83 gig (my sd card) then I formated as fat32, went back in check it it was correct, then I went and mounted back to charge only as in directions Verify that you have an SD Card installed with at least 2Gb free space. If the SD is smaller than 4Gb, make sure it is FAT32 formatted. Look at it on your PC or Mac to be sure. Now I run unrevoked 3 let it sit for 30 minutes and it stalls out, I have run it 3 times with the same results, unrevoked says: waiting for root, (safe to restart if this doesn't work) also says recovery image clockworkmod recovery.

I'm very savvy with technology and have been a part of the jailbreak movement since the beginning. I just keep seeing a lot of foreign terms here. Sep 20, 2010There have already been several requests for information on how to downgrade back to the official 2.2. The following process will remove root. Whether you need to return a phone or you just want to clean the slate and go back to stock, here is how to get there:
Note: Your SD card MUST be formatted to FAT32 before proceeding. The file will not be recognized otherwise. If you have yet to format, remember that formatting wipes the card. Be sure to copy/move your SD contents to a safe place (PC desktop) and replace after the formatting process. I will not go into the procedure in this thread as it is easily found with a Google search.
1.) Need to return a phone and currently have S-Off? (aka Unrevoked Forever) If so, please visit public:forever [RootWiki] where you can download the latest S-On tool and the process to load to your phone. If you want to keep S-Off and just return to the official 2.2, skip to step 2.
2.) Download the 2.2 PB31IMG.zip (extracted from the official 2.2 RUU)

Note the file size (172 MB) and the MD5 (31BB1611A0FA8197D447C0438426717E) to ensure a successful download and file integrity. If you have questions about how to verify MD5, please see post #2 of this thread.
3.) Attach phone to PC with USB debugging on and in disk drive mode.
4.) Access the SD storage and drag the PB31IMG.zip from the desktop onto the root of the SD card (any open area, do not place into a folder).
5.) Swipe down notification bar on phone and change to charge only.
6.) Unplug phone from PC and turn off phone.
7.) Hold volume down while pressing power button to enter hboot.
8.) PB31IMG.zip should be automatically recognized in hboot. Press volume up to continue with update. Do NOT interrupt.
9.) When finished, reboot to stock 2.2 and verify the following information at Menu > Settings > About Phone:
Android Version: 2.2
Baseband Version: 2.15.00.07.28
Software Number: 3.26.605.1
10.) Remove the PB31IMG.zip from the SD card to avoid an inadvertant reload in the future. You are now unrooted and on stock 2.2

Aug 31, 2010Alright I copied the guide that was on Droid-Life and on XDA. I have rooted with unrevoked3 and got s-off with unrevoked forever. I have already removed clockworkmod recovery and now have the stock recovery. All my settings match what the thread said and it keeps on aborting the update. Can anyone help me?
