HTC Incredible :: Music Mod And Last.fm Scrobbling
Oct 18, 2010It seems like some of the other phones can scrobble with Music Mod. Has anyone been able to scrobble with Music Mod on their Incredible?

View 1 RepliesWhen I playback music on my music player (from my sd card) the beginning of the song skips- every song, all the time- and it's driving me nuts. I think it's because of my sd card type, or because of Last fm scrobbing, which I have no use for at all. Since tweaking Last fm is cheaper than a new card, how do I turn off scrobbing?
When I open settings on Last fm the "scrobble Android Player" is checked, but the whole thing is in gray, not white, so I don't have the option of unchecking it. How do I get around this?
Has anyone had any problems with the Last FM scrobbling notification? Its been around 12 hours and apparently I'm still listening to Combat 84.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust curious if there is an app, like itunes, that we can purchase music, tv shows, movies. Clearly I'm new to Android, so this may be a stupid question, so I apologize in advance, but I didn't see anything, and there doesn't seem to be a way to purchase music from the stock music application.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been researching for some time now, but have yet to come up with an actual fix. I have my Incredible paired with my Altima and can make calls via Bluetooth with no problem. My question is, how can I wirelessly stream music or Pandora from my phone to my car (Altima does not have an aux jack). I know my car is capable because I was able to do this with my old Blackberry (exactly how I don't remember, it was an intricate process of pressing random buttons).
View 1 Replies View RelatedWell i plan on developing for android now and figure i'd sign up.I've only had it only for like 1.5 days now, installed a few apps here or there. Well i installed pandora and have pandora one, i've also bluetooth'd it to my car stereo on the way home yesterday.Well tonite i was messing around it some more and noticed there are about 8 songs that i didn't download or transfer in the HTC Music player, they are songs/artist that i've possibly listen to in pandora. I'm not sure if pandora downloads songs and the htc player picked found them. So i tried to play a couple songs, skip a few and nothing new appeared in the htc player.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSorry if this is somewhere in the threads. I couldn't find it. On my moto droid, there was an app called amazon marketplace I think. With it, you could easily buy music to play on the droid without having to sync to a pc with music. I remember watching a re viewer's video that talked about how the incredible does not have the amazon app, and therefore, you will only be able to sync music--not buy. Is this true? Is there no app that allows you to purchase from amazon anymore?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've searched the web, and the androidforums, and haven't found anything about this, so I figured I'd give it a shot here. About 2 or 3 weeks ago the Music app just stopped reading playlists right. Music can see all the play lists, it just can't find any of the songs. All the files are still there, and oddly, double twist can still read the play lists fine, and get to music. Has anyone run into this, or had any ideas on what could be causing it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedGot my Incredible a couple of weeks ago, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm an experienced smart phone user(4 generations of Treo's, Blackberry, Moto Droid), but I've encountered an issue that has me perplexed.I loaded about 20 mp3's in a folder I created on my SD card.I immediately checked the default music player and was happy to find that it found and played all 20 songs.I went back to use the music player a day or so later and found it listed all of the newly loaded songs twice. In looking at the details of the songs, I found that somehow a process on my Incredible copied all 20 songs to the internal memory! I was hoping to eventually load about 10GB of music to my SD card with the assumption that I could play those songs directly from the card. But until I figure this out, that obviously is not going to happen.I'm hoping the collective brilliance of this group will explain this unusual behavior and solve this problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have read a bunch a threads and topics regarding music and Android this for the past several days and haven't exactly seen this answered. My music collection is in ITunes on my computer. I don't know much about the different music formats etc, and when I ripped them all my CD's they are in MP4 format. I do know that what little music I bought from ITunes isn't in the format that doesn't let me play it anywhere else. Most of my music was just ripped from my CDs. I know the Incredible will play the MP4's, so is it OK to leave them that way? I realize they will take up more space, but I'm not sure if I should convert them to MP3's. Also, with them being MP4's, can I still utilize the ringtone apps, or are those for use only with MP3's?

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I've always wanted to use my Incredible as a music player, but I haven't been able to figure out how to get all my music onto it. I have all my music on Zune on my desktop, and I was wondering if there's an easy way to sync all of it with my incredible.
Also, is there an app that can stream my library to my phone from my computer, or something similar to that?
How do I add music from a macbook to where it is put under the music folder? For my folder options when I take the sd card out and put it in the usb thingy to put in the usb drive, I have
1. albumthumbs
2. android
3. DCIM
4. download
5. LOST.DIR
6. media (which has my pictures in it)
7. rosie_scroll
I have figured out how to put different sounds on it for my notifications and ringtones, but stumped on how to put songs on it to where they show up under the music folder. Again, this is from a macbook to the incredible.
I have a droid incredible running 2.2, Before the update i could only transfer 35 songs of my 70 song list from itunes. Now i can only transfer 20 songs on itunes agent, and probably about half on ituner. I've tried ituner, itunes agent, and the twist one, none of them can get me my whole list, and i have been doing everything perfect.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe stock music player on ROM I am using (Virtuous 2.3) is, I assume, the latest out with the most recent OTA (8/26?).
I am having a beast of a time getting it to play well with the phone. I had a similar problem using Third Wave, but did not have this problem with FrankenROM.
I see ONE album art, it isn't even the first artist by track name, alphabet or anything else. I am not sure exactly how the phone decided on this particular piece of art. It is the same art for every track. My tracks are no longer broken down by artist either, like they once were. It is a huge folder called "Unknown Artist" that is literally filled with all of my tracks.
Previously, in 2.1, my songs were all sorted problem by Artist>Album>Song. Each tab worked properly as well, though I sorted by artist most times. All of my tracks are in the same folder on the internal storage (EMMC). I have never had an issue with it prior to Third Wave and now Virtuous.
I keep my music on the internal storage because I presently only have a 4gb SD card and feel that it is sufficient for what I do with the phone, especially considering that I've got 8 gigs built into the phone that I should be able to use. That is all beside the point.
I searched prior to making this post and didn't see anything else relevant to the issue that I am having. Is anyone else plagued by this or a similar issue? Is there a newer/better/different version of the HTC Music Player that might fix the issue?
I doubt this makes a difference, but I had this issue with both the Stock kernel and the Hydra kernel. I am currently on the stock kernel because I just installed a kernel patch for Virtuous 2.3.
I listen to a large number of podcasts weekly. I use to download them to my computer and then transfer them to a folder on my Moto Droid called PODCASTS. This folder would show up under PLAYLISTS in the native android music player. This makes it very easy to listen to one podcast after the other. The HTC music player does not work this way. I drop a bunch of podcasts into a PODCAST folder and they are scattered throughout the music app. Has anyone found a way to put files directly in a playlist when accessing the device as a drive?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOriginally I was going to ask about an issue of listening to music (either Pandora or HTC Music App) and using the Nav (google maps.) Before froyo, I could listen to either Pandora or HTC Music App over my car's BT, when a new nav direction would come on, the music would fade in then out. This thread suggests that it's an issue with either/both apps. Suggests that bmusic app (I've never used this) works for this purpose. Did not seem to offer a fix for Pandora; only that it seems it would need an update from them to fix.
My other issue is hearing the nav directions when my car stereo is set to something other than bluetooth audio. Effectively, it seems that the car is viewed the same as earphones. This way, when they're connected, audio will not play via the phone's speaker. If I'm listening to either the radio, CD, or USB I simply don't hear the instructions -- the phone still outputs to these bluetooth "headphones", but the stereo isn't set to that output. As I gather, my two options are:
turn off BT
under options, turn off BT audio only
both of these options should make it so that I can listen to any other audio I wish, and listen to directions via the phone's speaker. Turning the BT on and off is a pain, but fairly easy as I've got a toggle button on my primary home screen. However, it means that I'd have to forgo handsfree BT phone while listening to other types of audio.......
About every 2 mins, the music player pauses for a second of silence and then resumes.
I have a 16 GB MicroSD that I bought at MicroCenter a long while back. It's branded MicroCenter but made by Ricoh. In any event, I put 9 GB of MP3s on it last night by just copying them to the MicroSD (after a full format, not a quick format).
Now, I would fault the card but, it plays fine in my Blackberry without skips. Any solution here? Would it make a difference if I formatted the card in Linux instead of Windows or something like that?
Is this normal for Android devices? When I store MP3s on my SD card, the phone won't play the music ("can't play the format" or something like that). When I store the exact same MP3s on the internal phone memory, the songs play.(choking)

Contacts, apps, etc, but no music. have it set to search for music, but still no dice. the weird thing, is that things like "facebook_pop.mp3" will show up in my search results, just none of the mp3s I uploaded. If it matters, my music is stored on "phone storage" in a folder labeled "Music".

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave had my new Incredible now for a couple of weeks and love it. I am still learning so much about how it works and have searched but can't seem to find an answer to this question. When I plugged in my earbuds from my Ipod tonight to go for a walk, the music continued to play through the speaker and not the headphones. I can't seem to find what I have done. I am using Isynch for my music and the preloaded music app. Do I need special headphones?
View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if there is a remote control (not app) for headphones that can control play/pause/volume? I listen to music at night and on long trips and it would be great to have something like this so I don't have to keep pulling out the phone. This would be the final blow to getting rid of my iPod once and for all
Alternatively, I wonder if there is a wireless one via bluetooth but that would kill the battery...
