When I try to search through my phone via the search button (bottom right), everything but my music comes up. Contacts, apps, etc, but no music. have it set to search for music, but still no dice. the weird thing, is that things like "facebook_pop.mp3" will show up in my search results, just none of the mp3s I uploaded. If it matters, my music is stored on "phone storage" in a folder labeled "Music".

I just got my HTC hero for xmas and i love it! i downloaded the gmote application and could not be more impressed with its capabilities; however, i do have one question: is there a way to search through the music on my phone rather than having to scroll through the whole entire list?

View 11 Replies View RelatedOn my incredible, the home, menu, back, and search notations on the body of the phone below the screen and above the trackball are not illuminated 95% of the time. If I am in the dark the notations are illuminated for a while, even when in a bright room. Then they go dark again.
Questions: Is there a setting I can adjust which can illuminate these notations all the time? Is this normal behavior?
I updated firmware on my G1 and got nice new search box. Problem is that in setting it say that it can search music, and I checked that but I don't get any result when I try to find it. Does somebody knows why?

For example, I hit a button, say "Pendulum (Pause) Witchcraft" and it'l ask me, did you mean this? Basically, contact voice search, but with music.

So I've always wanted to use my Incredible as a music player, but I haven't been able to figure out how to get all my music onto it. I have all my music on Zune on my desktop, and I was wondering if there's an easy way to sync all of it with my incredible.
Also, is there an app that can stream my library to my phone from my computer, or something similar to that?

Whenever I use the commands like "Listen to (Artist or Song)" or "Play (Artist or Song)" it never seems to recognize it. Instead it just does web search of what I said, I'm not sure where the problem is in it though. I have Poweramp and Play Music installed with plenty of music on file.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if anyone has been able to make Voice Search on the Droid launch the music player and play specific music. I went into "Settings", "Search", "Searchable items" under "Quick Search Box", and selected "Music Artists, albums, and tracks" so I think voice search can search the local device for music. Try as I may, I can't make search for music on the device. Admittedly, I'm used to the MS WinMo/Sync system where I can say something like "Play Artist Korn" (like in the commercial). I'm just wondering if I'm missing the "magic keywords" to make the voice search do what I want or am I just whistling dixie.This would come in VERY handy when the Droid is in the Car Dock (I HIGHLY recommend one of these btw.I just wish they'd integrated a power adapter with it.). That way, I can launch music via voice, and not plunk around with a very small icon on the screen.

I had my phone charging for a few hours, and out of the blue, it starts playing one of the many mp3s I have on the phone from the loud speaker. When I got to the phone, The home screen was normal. I held the home button to see what apps were recently opened and none of them were music related. I hadn't even listened to any mp3s on the device in days.

Does anybody know of any way to increase the volume when using earbuds? I do have the volume key set all the way to high, but for music and podcasts it doesn't make it.

The only way I could actually do it is via FM transmitter. so my question is, what is the best set up for this? I want to charge the phone as well as transmit music from it. I have an iPod Touch and have had the same FM transmitter that supplied power to it as well as transmitted amazingly for the past 2 years. I basically want this phone to replace my iPod Touch.

There's a USB input in the center console, which works great with my wifes Ipod, but when I plug my incredible into my car using my usb cable, i can't seem to get it to work.
I've tried it in charger mode, as well as mounted, and no dice.
I have a car stereo with bluetooth.I don't want to start a debate about sound quality of the music through Bluetooth.What I would like to know is if anyone has figured out how to get the music to go through the bluetooth speaker WHILE having the navigation go through the phone speaker.For me that is the optimal situation and would hopefully not have the Navigation interrupt the music instead allow them to both be going on at once.

Are there any apps for it? Someone told me "Amazon MP3 Store" for Android. I went to MarketPlace and searched for "Amazon" but could not find any Amazon MP3 App. I tried to purchase an album from amazon.com, but it says I need to install an "Amazon MP3 downloader" to purchase albums and it does not give me an option to download a version for the Android OS (however, it asks me to select one of 4 linux distributions). The other option I have is to buy and download individual songs from amazon.com, but I don't want that. I want to download entire albums. What is the best option I have?
