I'm looking for something like this for android
Mobile Mouse for the iPhone, iPod & iPad
Is there an app similar to this for android
iStudiez Pro for iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch
m looking for something that will help me organize my schedule for the fall semester.
In my previous phone Samsung Omnia I could set up mouse pad to be up/down, loft/right highlight/move mode or I set it up as a full mouse capability with the little arrow that I could move just like a computer mouse. Is there a way to set up the full desktop like mouse capability on the Incredible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have built a multi-touch application which is based on a Java EE backend and combined with BlazeDS to a Adobe Flex frontend. The application runs on a DIY-Multi-Touch which I built. Now I want to use another solution. The Adobe Flex frontend (with a multitouch library) and the BlazeDS adapter should be replaced by a solution which covers iPhone/iPad, Android and commercial Multi-Touch displays. The problem is the iPad/iPhone, there is no Flash Player runtime (not the jail-braked ones), but the application should be runnable also on those devices. So Adobe Flex and a Java frontend (no JVM on the iPhone/iPad) is not possible anymore. At first, starting the developing of the application it was not necessary, to run it on Apples mobile devices, but this changed So, what can I do, using HTML5? So I can use it for Android and iPhone/iPad. But I also want to make it possible to use it on a commercial multi-touch-display and normal display with a mouse (I only have gestures for one finger, the 2-finger gestures are not necessary). Are there any frameworks that allow this? Because I do not want to create several frontends (App for iPhone/iPad on Objective-C and a Adobe Flex for all other devices), it would be great if I can build a frontend for all devices.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a soon to be Android owner and will probably start using this forum often, but I currently have an iPod Touch. I'm upgrading from my Blackberry Storm (for obvious reasons) to the HTC Incredible. So I'm having a tough time deciding if I should sell my iPod Touch when I get the Incredible. Is the music player as user friendly and high quality as the iPod's? How is the browser speed over WiFi?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm thinking about my situation right now. I have an iPod touch 3rd gen 32 gigs. I have it jailbroken with Installous, so I am constantly downloading apps trying them out, then removing them.I recently purchased the Magellan iPhone dock to make the iPod a GPS unit. Since the Incredible has free Nav, I don't see the need to have to use the Touch.I only have about 10 gigs worth of music, so I could get a 16 gig card and fit all my music and Howard Stern on it. I would think with the left over that comes on the phone I can install the apps I want (wifi tether, google maps, the weather channel, maybe some sort of document reader if not loaded already).I don't want to use my phone for games, so maybe that is a reason for me to keep it. I don't really play games too much, but I do from time to time. I don't know if it is worth keeping another device to do it though.I want everyone's advice. I really hate carrying my phone and my ipod in regular clothing, so I would hate to carry the Incredible and the iPod touch.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI am planning a web app using GWT. How well will it be supported on mobile devices like iphone, android?
View 3 Replies View Related1. Make sure all of your contacts from your current phone are synced up with Outlook.
2. Goto File
3. Import and Export
4. Select "Export to a file" and Click Next
5. Select "Comma Seperated Values (Windows)" and click Next
6. Select Contacts and click Next
7. Choose a destination for the file to be saved and click next
8. Click Finished
If you have excel or a spreadsheet program, go ahead and open the file. In the last name field make sure that each person either has a last name or has some letter in the field or they will not import correctly. They will just end up showing up with a phone number w/o a name. After doing this, resave the file........
I have built a website for mobile webkit browsers, there is an interval update to refresh data. But it turns out that the pooling refresh will stop at some time after run for a while (some minutes or hours, different by each time).I thought there may be something error occurred in my refresh data functions, but it works well in my laptop browser. I also tried to listen window.onerror event, but webkit browser seems do not support that event. What else can I do?And I am also doubting is there any problem with setTimeout and setInterval functions in mobile webkit browser?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWondering here if there is a way I could trigger an event, so that any library listening for these events (e.g. jQTouch, Sencha touch, iUI, ... ).
If I could extend or use jQuery for such task e.g. $(...).trigger('event') that would be great to know.
Usage example:
I need to debug a few web apps by simulating multi touch with my mouse. This seems a little complicated, so if I could trigger the multi-touch events using Javascript I could therefore test the app more efficiently.
Is it possible to detect that the viewport is being dragged by a touch event?
Using the following code I am able to get the position of where the finger touched the screen, what node started the event and where it was dragged to. Which solves one of the problems but I would really like to detect when the user has dragged the page/window/viewport down.
To attempt to be more clear as to what I am trying to do: I would like simulate the refresh activity in Tweetie 2/Twitter for iPhone but in HTML5 and JavaScript. Code....
I am entering mobile development. I have been working primarily in .NET since 1.0 came out in beta. Before that, I was mostly a C++ and Delphi guy and still dabble in C++ from time to time. I do web apps quite a bit so I am reasonably proficient with Javascript, JQuery and CSS. I have also done a few Java applications. I started web programming with CGI and live mostly in the ASP.NET MVC world these days.
I am trying to decide on which platform/OS and tool to select. I am concerned with the size of the market available for my applications as well as the marketibility of the skills I will pick up.
The apps I have in mind would work on both phones and pads. Some aspects of what I have in mind will play better on the bigger screens that will be available on pads.
Here are the options I am considering:
Apple iPhone/iPad using pure Apple SDK (Objective-C)
Apple iPhone/iPad using Mono Touch (C#)
Android using pure Android SDK (Java)
Multiple platforms using something like Titanium to generate native apps from web technologies (HTML, CSS and Javascript)
Multiple platforms using HTML5 web applications that run in the browser (HTML, CSS and Javascript).
Is it possible to completely clean galaxy and install windows mobile or iphone software?
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo the Droid is awesome, of course! But, I went to my favorite flash website, wiicade.com in which most games require some kind of mouse movement. However, touching the droid screen and moving makes the screen scroll. How would I be able to use it as a mouse?
For example, one of my favorite games on wiicade is a 3D missle escape game, where you are a missle and you have to avoid hitting walls. However, you would normally control your movement by mouse movements on a PC, or the Wii Controller on the console. But when I try to move my "mouse" on the incredible, it just moves the screen. Is there an app that can handle this? Or is it a just an impossibility due to the way the touchscreen system is designed?
I would like to ask all of you if you know any good books, articles etc ... on development for these mobile platforms. I'm looking for learning material where the whole technology, OSes and development is discussed in great detail so i could gain a deeper understanding of the system as a whole.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo i was out the other night with a few friends and we decided to race our phones going to various web sites. We laid all three phones down in a triangle next to each other. We would all type in the same web site and hit go at the same time. My incredible was killing them. Compared to the droid, the incredible would load the site about 5 seconds faster. The iphone was not even close. One site took about 15 to 20 seconds longer to load on the iPhone. They were shocked at how fast the incredible was. I am so glad I have this phone!

View 49 Replies View RelatedHas anyone figured out a way to tether an iPad with the EVO phone for free? I did download Pda.Net but I guess that was not the answer, I thought with the 2.2 update with the Evo there was tethering?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am currently a 3GS user but highly interested in the new evo recently released. I like the idea of making my phone a hotspot with the 4G connection.Has anyone used there evo to tether iPad? If so is it a pretty fast connection on the iPad once connected?
View 28 Replies View RelatedI am torn because tonight I went into BB to look at a Evo to replace my wife's 2 year old and pretty worn out non-smartphone. My wife immediately said she wanted it and left me to play with the demo. Now I am wondering if I should be keeping my iPad...I want the Evo! But I love the iPad. I have been carrying it everywhere...even into grocery stores and restaurants. Took it to several doctor's offices yesterday...it was awesome. I want to mount it in the car. I am much more likely to go mobile with the wife and sit around and just wait on her. Today I worked out at the gym on a treadmil and browsed a magazine...will need to go back and read a couple of articles that I could only look at the Picts and large captions while running. Next time I will try an iBook that allows super large text. But time flew by quicker than it ever has and I hate working out at the gym...so this was really cool.I just want to be more efficient. I want my stuf online like docs and todo items and notes, etc. I am so frustrated with multiple devices and content everywhere. Is there room for a Evo and an ipad? We would have to pay more except that right now, I am paying for unlimited 3G so if I dropped the iPad 3G, it might be pretty close. I had planned on staying on the $15 plan most of the time...but AT&T pulled the fast one of the century. I currently have a Palm centro with ok tethering through dial up (hey it works when there is no 3G).
If I get the Evo, what would be come of my iPad? I already sold my first week purchase of the wifi. Would I really sell my 3G pad after calling BB 5x per day for 3 weeks? I have used the iPad for 3-6 hours per day for almost 2 months now. But a lot of that time has been here on this forum...and in getting the devices setup...which both have been very time consuming.
