Currently I could find tab widget which located at the upper side of the screen. (ex. Dialer, Contacts) How could I put the tab widget at the left or right side of the screen? I had checked the reference of SDK and some parts of the source code but I could not find a way to do it. Could anyone kindly give me advice or clue about how to do it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy employer is having me work on an android application with very specific UI requirements. Specifically, we need an interface that looks exactly like a TabWidget interface. However, having the tabs on the left hand side is an absolute must. We aren't going to be deploying this application to any android phones, its for an in house device, and as such don't have any problem violating any design considerations that the android platform might have.
We already have a working prototype that hacks together the functionality we need using a combination of focus listeners and list views. It isn't pretty, and we aren't very confident in it just yet, but it works for the time being.
What we'd really like is to throw all of our prototype UI code away in exchange for using the built in TabWidget. However, since TabWidget is hardcoded to only work with the tabs on top, this isn't really an option.
So, we are hoping that someone out there has a patch, or set of patches, or perhaps a custom class, that handles the TabWidget functionality with the tabs on the side instead?

On the left edge of the screen, there is a line going down the side that almost looks like its suppose to be the far right side of the screen because when i move to different homepages, it shows up in that little line first as it swypes across (if that makes any sense). Has anyone else had any screen issues similar to this? This kind of sucks. I was happy that I haven't had any major problems with my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThere is a spec of dust along the left side of the screen about 1" up. Its definatly under the glass and annoying as shit. Also the metal on the frame is so dense that it has 3 small and i mean SMALL pits in the metal.... How is this even possible? I use my iPhone as a coaster for the Droid and it sits in my pocket glass out... They are definatly pitted indentions in the metal as you can run your fingernail across them and feel it. Any ideas if I can go into verizon store to get a replacement for the spec under the glass? I bought it online launch day and have only had it since monday.
View 12 Replies View RelatedAfter having my Desire for no more than 2 weeks, I started to get dust under the screen on the left hand side about half way up. Though frustrating as my phone is never out of some sort of case, it is not too bad, doesn?t affect the phone in anyway and you can only really see it when the screen is off. I have been to my local T-Mobile shop and they have said they will happily send it off to be cleaned but to wait until it gets worse as I will be without my phone for a couple of weeks.

After owning a first gen iphone and a pre, the droid is my favorite. But if this problem only occurs on a fraction of droids i'd like to consider an exchange.
Anybody have this screen issue, on left side of screen towards top(the very side part of screen where the edge is), there seems to be a shinny silver like 1/2 inch reflective part that should be black, so when you watch video in horizontal mode like tilt it sideways, it reflects back, very annoying, but a very small little part of edge of screen.

It was never like this, but I took the cover off to remove the battery, and when I tried to put it back in, it wouldn't snap. I tried a different cover and it still didn't fit...
