I have seen the Flo TV thing, but it has bad reviews. I've read that vcast on verizon might be a better result. However, does it have ANYTING besides sports? That's all I see. I'd really like to hand my INC over to my 8 year old in the car and let her watch nickelodeon or disney when she's driving me crazy. Is that possible?

I am looking forward to purchasing the HTC Hero once it is out in Hong Kong.However, being someone who has been using an old Nokia phone for way too long, I am finding the jump onto a modern smart phone a bit confusing.One thing I really want on my phone is some of these mobile channels that are provided by my phone provider (PCCW) here in Hong Kong.Now according to that page, PCCW claims only some phones are supported, and there seems some relatively old phones there as well.I don't think PCCW will be selling the HERO as I will probably have to buy it separately, but I am wondering if these mobile channels will work on the HERO considering it is a brand new phone?I am really looking to watching streaming HD Football once the new season starts in August, and I want to be able to watch it on the Hero in case I am missing a game while I am out.Hope someone can explain this to me and how it would work.

I just found that left/right channels are swapped when calling SoundPool.play(int soundID, float leftVolume, float rightVolume, int priority, int loop, float rate), running in 1.1 emulator on MacOS. Unfortunately I'm far away from my G1 headset (with proprietary connector) so I can't check if the behavior is the same.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI travel a lot and I'm always trying to listen to my local channels, iheartradio is the only streaming app that has the specific channel I want to hear. I have the Eris and it seems the streaming quality is not to good, constantly cutting out.
Question is would the Droid X pick up this station or this app better than the Eris?
I also have At bat MLB 2010, no problems what so ever it seems it plays no matter where I'm at, tried the NFL app to listen to the Bengals game last week it was almost as bad as iheartradio.
Is it more the app or the phone? I know my call reception with the Eris is not great. but like I said MLB comes in great.
Does anyone know if there is an Icon of the Incredible? I would like to replace the old telephone receiver icon on the dock with an Icon of the Incredible. If not could someone make me one from a picture or explain how to reduce the pic to a sice for the Icon? Currently I downloaded the Windows 7 icon pack from the market and i'm using the default cell phone icon which looks like an old canybar Nokia.

And its killing me xD.I had to switch back to my winmo 6.1 HTC vx6900, and switching back from android is rough. Truly, it is a day to day struggle that we must cope with one step at a time. Tasks that used to be so simple, like editing a contact or sending a text, are now unwieldy by comparison.Who else here has had to do this? Am I alone in having to deal with this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo i think i might have the first shattered Incredible screen. I dropped it from two feet onto the metal camera protruding part. It hit with very little force. You can barely even see the mark from falling. So i pick it up and notice the entire screen is shattered when the screen was face up, the screen didn't even hit the ground! I can't believe how thin the Incredible screen is, it literally crumbled jut from the force of a light fall. I'm unimpressed in the build quality of the glass. I want to contact HTC about this and see if they can help me out, it seems like a manufacturing defect, maybe a weak screen? I need to find the biggest case that i can find for my replacement, one that could absorb a fall if it falls on the back part. I am thinking maybe a pillow as a case? That might help. Now im out ANOTHER 100 bucks to make an insurance claim on this. I highly recommend people keeping the insurance, the screen blows up even if it is not directly the part that hits if it is dropped.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a window mount off ebay for my Inc and have been loving listening to Pandora and using the Navigation program while driving.
This weekend I drove a couple of hours back and forth to see a friend and both times I had issues with the amber notification light starting to blink. I had the phone plugged into the Verizon car charger. Could it be that the battery was getting too hot and this was the phones way of notifying me? I live in Florida so it would make sense that the phone was getting rather warm in the window mount.
Anybody else have this issue?
Can this cause any damage to the phone or the battery? Am I OK as long as I pull the phone down out of the heat whenever I notice this happening?
Does anyone know a way to call a phone number that is in a calendar entry on the Incredible? This is a feature I used 10 times a day on my blackberry and I can't believe there wouldn't be some way to do it on the incredible. I am a sales rep and when I set up an appointment I put the name of the office and then I type the phone number right next to the name. When I opened the entry on my bb I could then click on the number to initiate a call. The incredible doesn't seem to recognize the phone number as anything different than text..

There are lots of times that while on a call you need to hit a number to transfer and the screen times out way to fast and you end up accidentally, while trying to get the screen to wake up, that you hit the wrong number whlie the screen is dark. There has to be a setting somewhere for this. Any suggestions?

Currently, I have no phone to replace it, but I do have an upgrade at the ready in order to replace the non-functional phone with an Incredible. I want to be phone-less for the shortest amount of time possible, so I am looking for ways to get my hands on one of these phones. Does anyone think that Best Buys across the US will periodically get shipments within the next three weeks? Or will all of the supply go directly to Verizon? I'm thinking that Best Buy would be the quickest way for me to get this phone only because the Verizon ship date is exceedingly slow.

View 24 Replies View RelatedIs the Incredible being left behind?I know all the news lately has been Droid X, and deservedly so.I remember the same thing happening when the Incredible rumors were out there, so I am fine with that.However, in all the trade publications, even the 2.2 rumor mill(I know the Inc is slated to get it) the Incredible is rarely mentioned. Also, with the production issues between HTC and Samsung, the Incredible still isn't shipping and the X will probably be out before they get them back in production.I feel like VZW will drop the Incredible (and all references to it) as soon as the X hits the street.But, that's just my humble opinion. Hope mine lasts for 16 more months.I LOVE my Incredible, and it has been treating me great.I just hope it's not a relic already.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else experiencing lag when using the phone dialer or when answering a phone call?When I go through my contacts and pick someone I want to call, I touch their name, and it takes a good 5-7 secs before it starts calling that person.Same thing when I receive a call. When my phone rings and I have an incoming call, when I swipe down, it'll take another 5-7 seconds after the swipe (since I guess this action lets you answer the call directly) before I am connected to that person.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Incredible usually just rings once. If I pick it up, it says the person is still calling, but the phone isn't ringing. There's some setting about stop ringing when you pick it up. I do not have that set, so it should keep ringing to matter what.It is not consistent. Sometimes it just rings once.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHad the DINC on the charger overnight. This morning I noticed the LED blinking alternating green and orange. Battery and phone were also red hot. After reading the LED's do indicate overheating. Any ideas what would cause this? Should I be concerned. First time it has ever done this. Took battery out and letting the phone cool off right now. Did not change anything on the phone recently other than install and remove a couple apps. Also added Handcent messaging, but that of course should have nothing at all to do with it.
