I am using like 1% per minute or less Is it only me? This seems just nonsense. iphone 3gs can last 5minutes with 1%. can you guys tell me how long does your Dinc last?

I just took my phone off the charger from a full charge. My battery is down 12% with 15 minutes of use. All I did was check emails and this forum. Do I have a bad battery or am I over reacting? I don't want to exchange my phone for another incredible but if I have to I will. Maybe Verizon can swap batteries?

I've rooted it and all but I dont have a backup of the original recovery and unrooted stock ROM (for telus). Today it felt like it was going to catch on fire while it was in my pocket (it wasnt being used as I was in the middle of a class). I figure that I cant wait any longer for Telus to release an update that would allow me to unroot my phone so can anyone who has a stock telus desire please send me a backup of their stock ROM!

I can use Facebook, play games, look at wikidroid, etc. and battery life seems "normal" but while using the browser it will use 10 percent in 10 minutes. I have timed it, I was at 60 percent, browsed the forums here for 10 minutes and was at 51 percent afterwards. Is this normal?
I am rooted and have 2.2, I have tried the stock browser and Dolphin HD and both do the same thing.
I'm interested in buying this phone but I'm not sure about the battery life. Can anyone tell me how much the battery will last if used in browsing over 3G? My currently old Nokia 6120 doesn't last more than 1 hour and a half doing that, which is pretty frustrating.

For some background info I have all my accounts to sync manually and I did the gsm data trick and I am not running a live wallpaper. So I start my phone and turn on my wifi( I have everything else off) I then go watch about 10 mins of youtube videos and check my email. So I started at 100% and at the end of the videos and checking my email I was at 75%! What is going on here? I have done everything I can to ensure proper battery life but this seems outrageous?
View 6 Replies View RelatedPlain and simple: When the Evo is fully charged, it begins running off its battery until you plug it back in. It DOES NOT trickle charge whatsoever after it reaches 100%. When you're using your Evo on the charger, and it's showing full 100% charge, it is running off the battery, not the AC plug. And then when you unplug it, well, we all know what happens next. The battery meter drops insanely fast to the actual charge of the battery, which could be very low, depending on how long it's been sitting idle at 100% on your charger. So all those times you've charged your Evo overnight, only to take it to work the next day and be at 80% within an hour? Your Evo was running off its battery for what I'm guessing was most of the night. It takes my Evo about an hour to two hours to fully charge back to 100%. Let's say you put your Evo on the charger at 11PM, it'll reach full charge by 1AM at the latest, and then run off its battery until whenever you take it off the charger in the morning. Workarounds? 1) Turn your Evo off while it's charging. 2) If you must leave it on for an alarm clock, put it in airplane mode and end all CPU intensive tasks to minimize battery drain. 3) When you wake up, unplug it for 10-20 minutes (still experimenting with this number), and then plug it back in to top it off. Onceit reaches 100%, take it off the charger, and go about your day. Try it out for yourself. When your Evo is 100% charged, take it off the charger immediately, and I highly doubt you will lose the 10%-15% within minutes.
View 49 Replies View RelatedMy battery seems to do alright but one thing that has really been bugging me is that every time my battery gets to 30/20% it dies almost instantly lasting no more than 15 minutes from normal usage (texting, checking email).
Is this normal or is mine a bad battery or a battery gone bad rather? Thing is the battery lasts a long except for the last quarter of the battery. I've never seen my battery hit any values below 20% except 5% which is when it turns off immediately after.Call for a replacement battery or is this normal? I've had my EVO for about a week now and i've been trying to figure out the most efficient way to get a good days worth of battery. Nothing I have done has worked so far, maybe I am missing something. I am only getting about an hour and 45 minutes of actual use out of the phone and its on standby for about 8 hours and needs to be charged. Is this normal? I dont think it is...I installed ATK to see if it would help kill apps that I dont need running, but it didnt seem to change much even on aggressive kill setting. I did have it set to kill whenever the screen turned off, but i just changed it to every half hour. would i benefit from rooting to get rid of Sense UI?

I did a test where I would randomly click pages on this site and wait a few seconds on each page, over 3G, and concluded I was losing 1% every 2 minutes. The battery breakdown menu shows that it dropped almost instantly, 82%, my screen which was at the lowest brightness setting. It's a Galaxy S3.

Strange, because when Im not browsing the battery lasts for 2 days long. It happens only when I use it for a heavy Internet browsing or Market browsing (when it uses heavy data transfer). I use an unlimited data plan in Brazil. It occurs when I use the Wifi too. I looks like when Im tethering, but Im not.
Can it be something about processor clock control? Ive upgraded to 2.2 recently.

We laid all three phones down in a triangle next to each other. We would all type in the same web site and hit go at the same time. My incredible was killing them. Compared to the droid, the incredible would load the site about 5 seconds faster. The iphone was not even close. One site took about 15 to 20 seconds longer to load on the iPhone. They were shocked at how fast the incredible was. I am so glad I have this phone!

It looked like beautiful widgets was using the GPS while I was in there but I don't even have that widget on any screen. This was after looking at what was using the battery up. But right when I unplug the USB (at 100%), the battery would drop to 92% in 2 minutes with me not doing anything at all. Then I plug it in my CAR charger and when it reaches 100% everything is perfectly fine. The phone still last all day with a lot of usage. But just wondering if anyone knows why the battery drops to 92% so fast?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI know this topic has been discussed at length, but in weeks of searching, I can't seem to find any help with my particular problem. I've had my phone since July with no issues whatsoever. It's never been rooted. I got the Froyo update with no issues. I hadn't installed any new apps, just updated the ones I had as normal. Now, after a few minutes of use of basically any program, the phone reboots itself and gets stuck in a boot loop. I've done factory resets, and the phone is now completely stock - the only "extra" thing is my email accounts through Google. I got stuck in a loop last night, powered the phone off through HBoot and let it charge overnight. When I got up this morning, unplugged it, powered it on, within a few minutes, it's rebooting again. It seems if it was a hardware issue, it would've come up before now. I should also mention this happens with our without SD card, after formatting the SD card on the phone and the computer. I hate to say this, but I'm kind of missing the days of BB where I could wipe the OS and start with a clean slate. It almost seems like something in my OS is corrupt, but I haven't messed with that side of the INC to know how to fix it. I just noticed this morning that my signal shows no bars, but I'm able to make calls, texts, etc. Also, it hasn't (knock on wood) rebooted during a phone call, but will immediately after hanging up.

Make internet pages display white text on a black background and so on. Many people do this on their computer browsers as it is easier on the eyes. I just read that I need to add my gogle voice routing number instead (which i got as 916-538-xxxx) so I went to add that but my Dad who also has google voice has the exact same routing number. View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm curious to know if there is a way to increase the LED notifications for emails and texts to anything more then 5 minutes. It seems kinda pointless to notify for only 5 minutes especially if you are away from your phone or did not hear any notifiers. After 5 minutes you will still need to unlock the phone to check for something. I have just moved from the Motorola Droid to the Incredible and noticed that the Droid's LED notification blinked until the message was open regardless of that duration. Any ideas?

And after that, I have been mostly studying and not using my phone... but the second half of the batter drains, it seems like, FASTER than the first half did! No music playing, no wi-fi, no internet browsing? Is this normal? Is it just the nature of these batteries?
