LG Ally : ZVB Not Apply Correctly / Pull Info On Update From Downloaded File?

Ok from Velocity 0.2 with Clockworkmod and V9 SW version I flashed the stock V6 Rom, then flashed stock recovery. got ota updates to V8 and then ZVB without any errors. SW Version on phone read VS740ZVB. I then rerouted, applied Clockworkmod recovery and installed Velocity 0.2 and then the GNMTurbo4 kernel. SW Version on phone reads VS740ZVB. Then another OTA update showed up. It claimed to be 24.9MB just like the ZVB update. Of course it would not install because I was using custom recovery.
My question is, what is this update? Is it the ZVB update coming through again? Did my ZVB update not apply correctly or is it not recognized by Verizon since I'm using custom recovery and rom? Is there a new update that I'm missing out on, and if so, what is it, and do I need to apply it?
Lots of questions, I know.Just wondering what exactly is going on and do I need to do anything about it? Is there any way to pull info on this update from the downloaded file, and if so, where can I find the file and how do I get info from it?
HTC Incredible :: Unable To Pull Down Notification Bar
May 30, 2010About 12 days ago my notification bar would not pull down. I rebooted the phone and it started working again. Two days later it stopped working again. I rebooted the phone and still nothing. I powered down the phone and pulled the battery for 5 minutes. Still no go. Today I did a factory reset. With no additional apps loaded, it still would not work. I am able to bring up the bar from Menu->Notifications and it works in landscape.

Aug 12, 2010I installed the unrevoked forever tool and it went great, got the s-off.
I try to "adb remount" when the phone is on, and I get an error saying it can't be permitted. it also says "$" when I do adb shell
but I can still do it fine from clockwork recovery.
HTC Incredible :: Cannot Unlock Phone - Pull Battery To Restart
Jun 28, 2010Sometimes, after manually locking the phone, I'll try to unlock the phone but the "swipe" bar no longer shows up. It's almost comical when this happens, as I can get phone calls, emails, texts etc during those times (I can even pick up/reply), but the phone goes immediately to that "swipe less" lock screen right afterward. There is no way for me to unlock the phone (even a long press on the lock button doesn't work), so I have to take off the case and do a battery pull to reset. Has any experienced this and does anyone have any fixes for it?

Apr 29, 2010Just thinking, should the Push Gmail use less battery power than "Pull" such as Yahoo Mail. It would seem that the pull process is having to go look every 15 min and the Push process is merely sending it as it arrives.

Jun 1, 2010I get this error and i have learned that it means someone sent me a picture but it wasn't downloaded. So i have to go thru all my texts to find the gray box that then gives me an option to download it. (There is no error symbol by the string of texts tho). After i hit download it then shows up. HTC Incredible :: Downloaded Unrevoked Package
Nov 13, 2010I downloaded the unrevoked package, moved the drivers onto the sd card, activated the reflash_package and my phone went about halfway through the process before stopping. It went through the white screen with the little green droids at the bottom and then the phone rebooted, but it never went through the last boot screen where it installs s-off. I disconnected my phone and everything works perfectly, but I have no superpermissions. Now when I hook my phone to the computer and run the reflash_package it hangs on "pushing hboot". I've tried it 5 times now and still nothing...

Jul 27, 2010I have a HTC Incredible and when I start to play music, my downloaded voicemails start looping and playing over the music. I can hit pause, but then they'll automatically start playing. When hitting menu, there is no option to delete. Only options are "shuffle on, search, exit, get art, concerts and more" Exit doesn't work. As soon as I start listening to music, the voicemails turn right back on. I have turned the phone completely off and on again, and still the voicemails just keep on playing over the music.

May 1, 2010New Incredible, setting up and downloading everything in sight on Thursday. Late last night (Friday) started having issues with mobile network and internet access while not on wi-fi. I have been using wifi predominantly so I think this issue was in the background but I didn't notice because I wasn't using 3g internet access. When I shut off wifi, I was getting access errors and, in my QuickSettings app, it said that there was no APN configured. The HTC settings app, under mobile network, simply said "turning on".
Searched around and discovered that this might be a problem with the app itself (QuickSettings) so I uninstalled it, did *22899 and rebooted. 3g problems went away but now I'm getting intermittent status bar messages that say "message not downloaded - generic network failure".
I am using Handcent and I *think* I'm getting all the messages I've been sent but how could I tell? I've been getting some, at least. I turned off the auto-retrieve for the HTC native messages app but I'm still getting the status message periodically. The phone will vibrate and notify like I've gotten a SMS but all I'm getting is the error message - about every 10 minutes.
From searching around it appears that this has been a thing with the Eris but the fact that it *was* working and now it's not is confusing to me. Is there a known conflict out there with an app combination that does this? I searched the forums and the google but I'm coming up empty.

Jul 24, 2010Whats the deal with receiving pic messages on this phone? When I get a pic messages it doesn't automatically download it, it prompts me to download and sometimes it won't download. I've checked the settings but cant find anything that will let me automatically download.

Aug 29, 2010the music i downloaded will force close anywhere between 30 seconds to one minute of play. I used the music program that came with the incredible and now that won't work. I've downloaded another music player, but that still didn't work. The same thing has been happening with pandora also (I thought it was the updates but I can't get through more than 30-1min of any song). I removed the second music app and fildo (music download app) and pandora. Still does the same thing on the htc music. Should I try a factory reset? I'm just afraid it will delete my contacts.

Nov 14, 2010Yesterday my Droid Incredible kept telling me there was an update to my phone. I waited until 8 or 9 hours later and then did the update last night. EVERY single app, contact, messgae, email...everything is GONE...the phone is like the day I got it. I had no warning and I'm beyond devastated. I was able to use Backup Assistant for my contacts, LOTS of pictures are gone, ALL my message threads are gone and on Monday, I'm going to have to reset my Exchange email at work. I've reloaded my personal email and some apps I remember, but I cannot tell you how upset I am.
One of the biggest problems is I don't know what I don't have? I had so many apps, and I don't have a record of them.
Is there some way to back up everything on the phone, all settings, etc, to a website so this never happens again? I am NOT rooted and a I have Froyo 2.2
