I can not get any NES ROMs to my Dinc? WTF am I doing wrong. When I try and download the ROMs they come in as text files, and if I try to save link I don't know what program to open them with.
Any Mac users out here?

I would also like to know all this deal about rooting and whatnot. I read some stuff that mentioned rooting and kernels and stuff and I really don't know what it is. I would like to know and try it once I get comfortable. Also what are roms?
So PSX4Droid finally got released from the clutches of Google Market about an hour ago. Only problem now is I can't seem to get any roms to work. I set up a PSXROMS folder on my SD card, and my first d/l was Metal Gear Solid disc 1 and 2. I got them from here PSX ISO Download Section. So I downloaded the .rar, unzipped to get the .bin (says it's compatible), open the emulator, the emulator sees the files in the folder, I click it, it refreshes the rom screen. The emulator doesn't start. Am I doing something wrong? Wrong file type?

"An error had occurred while fetching data. [102/Session key invalid or no longer valid]"
I deleted the sync account and added it back 3 times, and I still get the same thing.
After turning on my Incredible and swapping the stock battery with my extended battery, I was shown the start-up tutorial. After that, I was bombarded with about 5 FC messages.
My scene layout was still intact, but many of my icons were replaced with the little green Android guy, and tapping them resulted in the message "This app is no longer installed on your phone" and installed widgets said "error loading widget."
Any other market app I tried to run FCed immediately or after a few seconds running. Most pre-installed apps ran as if it were the first time running. Market only showed Gmail in my downloads. App list showed all the downloaded apps on phone, but none on SD.
Been running Android 2.2 with no issues up until now.
Searched various different things on Google and here, but found nothing.
Any suggestions on how to get it to work? it used to before i switched to the newest leaked 2.2 rom (8/26 or 27 i think) with the bloatware already uninstalled.

After I programmed my phone I noticed that I can't send or receive texts.
Just wondering if there's any way to solve this.
My hero is randomly failing to send or receive txts and calls.
It only happens from time to time but its starting to become annoying.
Has anyone else experienced this? is there any way of fixing it?
Just updated software and now my phone is not ringing through earphones, been through all settings and cant figure this out, anyone else had this problem and is there a solution, i need this option for my work as cant hear phone ringing due to loud machinery

I was living in Japan and used Xperia there without any issues, but yesterday, after I arrived at Indonesia, changed to Indonesia's SIM Card and done the SIM Card activation progress, my phone started to act strangely.
If I insert the Indonesia's SIM Card and turn on the phone, my phone will automatically shut down after the Sony Ericsson's logo appeared.
And if I just turned it on without any SIM Card inserted, it will look fine but, at sometime, like when I was confirming the setting, the phone will also shut down suddenly.
Please tell me if anyone has the idea how to solve this issue.
I tried to update the phone by connecting it to computer thru PC companion and followed the instructions till the time it asks to disconnect the phone from computer remove battery for 5 secs and turn on again.
Now at this step the phone is not turning on and whenever i press the power key, red notification light is blinking 3 times and nothing else is happening.
Worked perfect in my car every day until I installed the update, now it connects and doesn't send any audio to the car... just keeps playing through the phone speaker. Wtf happened?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI replaced my original sdcard with a sandisk 16gb card. Everything went well until I started getting these blasted read on errors. Earlymon suggested a fix from another board but I don't have a stand alone card reader so I couldn't do it that way.
I was wondering if I just backed up all my stuff from my sdcard to my iMac and then just reformatted my sdcard via the phone, would that solve my problems?
So, I installed a couple emulators, put some roms on my SD card (yes they are definitely on the SD card and not the onboard flash), ejected my devices from my PC, and disconnected my USB cable.
Now when I open up the emulators, they are not able to see any directories on the SD card.
It's almost as if the SD card is acting as if it's still mounted. Not sure what to do here...
Are Themes the same as ROMS? If they are, how so, and if they are not, how so.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have root access, have clockwork mod. i did a nandroid backup as well. now what is the next step? i downloaded rom manager and titanium backup(paid version) i thought i read somewhere about someone sayin that titanium has to be on the SD card or something for backing up the apps maybe same thing with rom manager? a little confused at this point im just a little bit lost here when it comes to flashing roms. i think i wanna flash capt jagers 1.6 rom but im not sure what else i have to do.

I rooted my Incredible yesterday after a couple months of contemplating it (I know ) And I think I want to try Virtuous ROM. So say I go to Virtuous, but end up wanting to go back to how I have it now (stock, root, froyo). Is that going to be hard? Is that what the nandroid backup is for? Say I go to Virtuous, then decide I wanna try Cyanogen. Do I just flash the new one after doing a Nandroid, then if I dont like Cyanogen I can just open the backup and bam it's back to Virtuous? Nub questions I know, but Im skerred. Last night I installed the rotary lockscreen from Virtuous on my stock rooted rom and I really like it. If I decide I dont like it, how hard is it to change something as small as an addon, rather than the whole ROM?

I basically just want wireless tether, and flash 10.1 for real. Im sorry if this is a noob questions, ive searched around and cannot find where I read that. I could be nuts tho too. View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I downloaded two different ROMs from incredible stuff. You know you want it. And I try to install them with Rom Manager by going to Install ROM form SD Card, selecting the zip. I downloaded, and then checking backup and wipe, but when my phone boots back up, nothing has changed. What is it that I'm doing wrong? I eventually rerooted and that solved my problems. I still have no idea what was wrong.

I already backed up my current rom (sense ui) with the ROM manager app. I have already backed up all my apps as well with titanium backup. I am good to go at this point?
