i was wondering how to quickly return to the built in browsers homepage on the hero phone. is there a menu option i'm missing as i seem to have to repetedly press the back button to get back to my selected homepage. also when i close the browser it reopens on the last page i viewed. have read you just bookmark homepage but was hoping there was a better shortcut key to return to homepage.

I have now been using the samsung galaxy for a week now and there is only one factor that is letting down the phone for me and thats the lagging. I have no complaints about the camera even though its without the flash, the internet speed is top notch and the innovative swype makes life so much easier. However what irritates me is the time it takes to access an app or returning to the home page. It must take 30 seconds or more before the screen is loaded which is annoying when you want to do something in a hurry. This also occurs when someone is ringing me and I'm trying to answer, the phone freezes for 10 seconds. I,ve only downloaded around 10 apps so surely that cannot be the problem. I've got a week left before I have to come to a decision whether or not to keep the phone or return it back to vodafone and would like some advice or reassurance about this problem. Also out of interest I would like to know if anyone has encountered the same problem on the iphone 4. The one area in which the galaxy beats the iphone 4 is the price considering what you get with both however it may be worth it to use a phone that dosent lag.

Toggle switches
Program, contact, and bookmark shortcuts
Music, weather, notepad, and calendar widgets
I'm not interested in Twitter and I haven't found the stock text or email widgets to be that useful because I can only see one at a time and usually have to link to the full program. The icons with unread number are working well enough.I'm looking for any cool widget or folder ideas that I may have passed over on the market, or creative layout ideas.
I am using Damage controls new 2.08.1 Rom and I have it working pretty good now. But I can't figure out how to get the weather on the stock flip clock. I want to use my current location.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

First, is moving things I don't use from where they are. It is possible to move the Browser icon off the home page?
On the first tap to the right I have the music application, and I never use that. I would like to use that space for App icons. Can I move that?
Finally, two taps to the left is the calender. Can I move that?

One was for the dialler, one was to open the app drawer and the 3rd was (I think) to dial the last number. Under the settings for the Web Browser my dad set his home page to Google, however when he opens his browser it always opens on an AT&T Yahoo page.
