General :: Removing Buffering Sound From Radio App For Android?
Jan 1, 2013How do i remove the buffering sound from an radio app for android? My phone is rooted. I transferred the app to my pc and then I used apktools for extracting. The extracted .apk contains a few maps with a lot of xml and smali files and a few image files. I could'nt find any audio files in any of these maps (which could be the irritating loading sound that i want to remove).

Apr 29, 2010I am having a problem with the stock keyboard on my Eris. I don't really like the HTC keyboard so I installed the vanilla keyboard and switched defaults and whatnot. However, some apps (like "setup" for example) switch it back to the HTC keyboard and then I have to go back into HTC Sense and switch it and everything which is a pain. I know that the easy answer is "don't use those apps" though I really just want a permanent fix for it. Anyway to do this?

Apr 23, 2012So recently, I found a flashable zip for a stock LG keyboard. I do have a problem though, when I use the keyboard, I have an annoying and useless T9 button and I want to move/resize some buttons.
Would it be possible to modify the apk from the zip to achieve what I am trying to go at? I prefer this keyboard than any other keyboard because this is the closest to the LG P690 stock keyboard in terms of speed I could find to the original, and this is what I'm accustomed to.
What I'm trying to achieve is:
1.) I want to remove the T9 button, settings button and comma on the first layout.
2.) Move the comma into the symbol layout and move the keys according to the sample layout.
3.) I also need to let the spacebar fill the space the removed buttons used to take up.
Sprint HTC Hero : Notification Sound Change - Different Sound Than The Other
Apr 28, 2010Right now my phone makes the same sound whether I get a email or a text message. Can I make one have a different sound than the other? If so please tell me in detail how. I only see one notification sound area.

Jan 18, 2010I REALLY need some assistance, think I screwed my phone, really want to avoid a hard wipe. I installed Lock bot the other day, has some issues with dual lock layers (i.e. the lock bot app wasn't disabling my HTC lock so I had two unlocks.). emailed dev and he sent me a beta version to hopefully correct issue. I only received an apk file from him. FYI I am on fresh 1.1, rooted. I used the kitchen to puch this file: "LockBotPro_1.10.0_beta.apk" to /system/app. The install went successfully, but later after a reboot I face a HUGE issue. The lock bot app is hanging upon reboot and will not unlock. At first I thought i would still be okay, I had ATK and Advanced Task manager both running at start up, so I can enter both of them through my notification drop down menu. I used both to kill the task-to no avail it is still locked. I tried to use advanced task manager to uninstall lock bot - to no avail, it cannot be removed. Then I tried to pull back the file through kitchen, to no avail.

Sep 20, 2009The updated ROM firmware updated wonderfully and now the fun is really responsive and fast with very little noticeable lag. I have searched but can't see anyone else mention this, I can't believe this is just me though. When you want to remove an item from the screens now, it will start the app just by touching and not give time enough to highlight so that it can be dragged to 'remove' tab. One example is googlemaps from the homescreen. Have I overlooked a setting which will allow this or are the updates to speed such that it is a little too responsive now?

Jun 17, 2010I've seen a few posts about this, but i wanted to ask again and see if anything new has come up.I'm happy with my USER dictionary, because i check it every couple days to make sure there's no crazy stuff in there that will pop up while typing.However, i would really like to be able to edit the dictionary that comes on the Hero. The biggest gripe i have is that EVERY time i type "the" it replaces it with "Tue"Wouldn't the dictionary be a file on the phone? Seems like you should be able to edit it after rooting, no?
