Had my Hero couple of months now and I generally like the phone but.....I hate the fact that you cannot transfare files by Bluetooth! If I had realised that before I ordered the phone I wouldnt have bothered.
Anyhow my question is ....How do I transfare photos from a txt message to my computer? Please be gentle with me as I am not verytechnical minded.

Does anybody else besides me also like the way the iPhone and Palm Pre both place the photo (or text "balloon") of peopl on alternate sides of the screen during text messengering and IM chat conversations? It really gives a nice sense the "back and forth" of real life conversation...and to also help distinguish one's own comments from those of the person one is conversing with...particularly if there's no actual photo in the phone book to show the person (you can still see the back and forth pattern Seems like such a great idea and so simple to implement! Why the heck can't they do that on our Android phone?

i had nearly 800 plus photo on my sdcard now.is there any way to manage all this photo separately on hero?presently all are categorize into folder.but upon opening album, i can only select from camera shot or all photo but not the categorize folder that i had created previously.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using two different devices (iPhone and HTC) and I was able to sync contacts photos from the two devices without problem using Outlook...after I replaced Touch Pro, installed HTC Sync 2.0.18 and did my first sync... I noticed something weird...HTC Hero only synced contacts photos that were set by the HTC Touch Pro originally! and didn't sync any contact photo was set by the iPhone! sure thing the photos are working with Outlook without problem and I was able to sync them to the Touch Pro without a problem...

When I open a friend's album it shows the thumbnails and once I click on a picture it brings up a (flash looking) photo viewer window. This doesn't allow you comment, like, or view comments on the pictures. Is there a different way to view these, am I missing something?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my phone and loaded a 2.1 ROM (Damage Control v2.08). Everything seems to be working great. I went into my contacts (reloaded through MS Exchange) and noticed that some of the Facebook photos were auto linked to a contact, but some were not. I am guessing the ones that did not do not have a name that matches exactly did not load.With the stock phone, I was able to manually select the Facebook friend I wanted to associate with my contact and it added the picture.With 2.1, when I try to manually select a Facebook contact through "Link Facebook Profile", the screen doesn't list anyone to choose from.It is just blank and says "no matches found".Has anyone else had this problem? I'm trying to figure out how to manually link people. I can log into Facebook with no problem and everything there seems to work.

Most demos of the app I've seen running seem to show the users contact photo popping up when a text arrives. Anyone else had this problem, or am I missing an obvious setting etc?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHtc Hero is supposed to be a multi touch device, you can pinch to zoom in browser and in photo viewer, the thing that I can't understand is why all other applications don't support multitouch.
For example I downloaded snesoid and nesoid and there is written in the options that my firmware (1.5) doesnt' support multitouch, making it impossible to play games.
So is HTC hero with 1.5 really multitouch or not? And will I be able to use multitouch in emulators and other apps downloaded from the market when the 2.1 will come out?
Just a quick question, i have set up my contacts to link to facebook accounts, linking their profile pictures to, however when any of the contacts call and their photo is displayed whilst ringing, it is quite fuzzy is this the same for everyone? i also tried taking a photo off the hero camera and using that instead, picture looked great in the viewer, but when i attach it to a person and they ring, its dead fuzzy again.
