HTC Hero :: Application Could Use To Record Both Sides Of Phone Conversation With HTC Hero?
Dec 4, 2009Is there an application I could use to record both sides of a phone conversation with an HTC Hero? I don't have one yet (currently a blackberry user) but if one is available I'd be willing to make the switch. I'm a medical writer and need to record interviews and since I'm going to be on the road a lot in the near future, don't have access to landlines and the ability to use a conventional tape recorder.

Nov 27, 2010My HTC hero is rooted and today i think it got overheated while charging it and tethering it. I unplugged it from the charger and it will no longer turn on.I plugged it back in and the light turns red, cause it's charging but willl not turn on.what does this mean?is my phone like broken?

Apr 1, 2010This is my first post although I have been reading this forum for awhile. I just went from a Moment (too big and bulky) to the Hero.
After searching and reading Im coming to the sad realization that the Bluetooth does not function correctly on the Hero? I just wanted to do a simple transfer of the contacts from my Instinct to the Hero? I dont want to use Google or any other email. Im surprised because there was no problem transferring my contacts from the Instinct to the Moment using Bluetooth. Both the Moment and the Hero have the same Android operating system so why is this happening?

Nov 4, 2009I transferred contacts from my old phone (Samsung Instinct). One of the numbers was a voicemail for another location. On the Instinct you put in the numbers with a pause in the string which allowed you to delay entry of saved access codes until the right time. Is there a way to do this on the Hero?

When the 2.1 Android update is released, will I receive a pop-up message on my phone like people whose phones are under contract from Orange, etc? Secondly, the main reason I'd like this update is Google Navigation. I read somewhere this wont be available in the UK.

Jul 5, 2010I have read a couple of threads that touched on this ring issue, but was unable to find any that had a solution or work around.Since the 2.1 update and the OTA update, many times when an incoming call comes, the phone doesn't ring. If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?

Jun 25, 2010I am on the Vodafone Uk network and I just went to make a call and when I select the person to call, it appears to 'dial' the number and then I get a 'beep' as if it has dropped the call. Thought this was a bit odd so i tried calling my mobile number from my home phone and the same thing happens when I call my HTC Hero. I have tried turning on and off and removing the battery and sim. If the phone is off and I phone it, instead of the beep I get the usual 'this persons phone is switched off'.
I was looking around in the settings earlier but I didn't think I had 'touched' anything but maybe I pressed something by mistake?I have had a look throught he settings and everything seems to be in order (not that I am an expert!!)Can someone please help as at the moment I have a phone which won't work as a phone!

Dec 17, 2009So, I recently switched from a G1 to a G2 Touch (Hero), and there is one setting that is driving me absolutely crackers. On my G1, in my contacts list, I could press menu and there was an option to "show only contacts with phone numbers," which meant that random e-mail contacts did not show up in the list. I cannot find a way to do this on my Hero, and I can't find an answer anywhere. I know there is a setting to tell it to not sync from Google, but I keep my numbers backed up there, so I DO want it to sync, but SURELY there is a way to set it up so that all of my e-mails aren't visible in my "people" list, short of copying every number to the phone and telling it to only look there?
