I setup the same gmail account on the gmail app and on the htc widget account and now I am getting duplicates of the same email cause I have the account on both of them. Is there a way to delete my account gmail account and keep the htc widget account?

I have the gmail app setup on my HTC desire HD and it works perfectly, however when I open the HTC mail app and try and add gmail to that it doesn't work giving me a password error (even though I am sure it is right) I want to use the htc mail app as it will allow me to have all my email accounts in the same mail box. I have tested it with a hotmail account and it works fine, is gmail supported?

It keeps saying: "This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care". Other internet works on phone in browser and I can get the googlemap to work too, just cannot set up the market to download apps.

Switched from crgrob83@googlemail.com to crgrob83@gmail.com and now I keep getting errors on Desire about not being able to log into Google Talk and I also cant download anything from the market! I also synced my new account in gmail, but cant delete the original account without master resetting the phone and I ain't prepared to lose all my personal settings and info.

Go to the GMail app, select add account, fill in the metrics and then...... "Needs to communicate" message for ~ 3 minutes, then bombs out with - "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". 3G is fine, on a wifi connection that is fine, web browser works fine..... Google Apps account works fine.

On the available Android Eclair code, Gmail account can be added as 'exchange' or 'corporate' account. But on Nexus one there is a different account type for gmail.

I'm in the process of switching from an iPhone 4 to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus purchased direct from Google. I wish to setup my Yahoo account, but I've run into a problem. I can receive and send emails without problems, but I can't find a feature to automatically bcc messages back to myself. I do this so that I can synchronize Sent messages with my PC. Is this feature missing in Android V4.1 or am I just not seeing it?

I need it for university and my job, however I can not for the life of me, after a week of trying to get the email app that came on the phone to work it will not work. I took the phone to the IT department if my university after I followed their instructions online for setting the email account up on the phone and every time I got to outgoing server settings the app force closed. The IT guy couldn't get it to work either.
I tried it a few times at home before it just sat for an hour trying to do something or other before my phone crashed and it turned itself off. I had a panic attack and thought I had broken it but alas my phone loves me too much to do that to me. So are there any other apps out there that are worth while for IMAP email (I do know its IMAP no idea what IMAP is =) that I can use with my G1 that I wont have to kill to get it to work?
i'm trying to add a 2nd gmail account through the gmail app. it goes through the entire process, goes to the sync page and allows me to select what i wish to sync up then gives me a confirmation that the account has been added but when i go to the gmail app and check accounts it still only lists the 1 original account. i've tried powering the phone off and restarting - also added the account via HTC email app and deleted the 2nd account via HTC email app just in case it was conflicting there

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was just entering my hotmail account details using the settings provided by a member here and it verifies nicely. When I enter the Mail app however it says that the "account for this widget has been deleted. Would you like to switch to another account?" When I select Yes it just leads me back to my account Inbox - the same account it claims was deleted This account was created using the Manual IMAP option.
Earlier today when I just put my details in normally, without selecting Manual, it was working okay - although the sync was a problem. At least, however, it had a notification icon on the App when I got a new email. But strangely after I wait a few minutes going back to that account inbox, it does show my emails. What can I do to stop this?
Can someone please tell me how to setup my email account using K-9 Mail. I've never setup email on a phone before. I got a Sprint tech to set it up through the standard mail app but have heard good things about K-9. I have a Roadrunner account. Can someone please help?

I have my Google apps email configured through the regular email app and set to push my email, but it doesn't actually push. I thought I'd try it with the GMail app, but I can't get it set up. When I try to configure it as a Google account, it says it "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" even though my data signal is fine. This happens both on 3G and WiFi.
I had read to add the account as a Google account, using my full username@mydomain.com as the login and my password, so that's what I've been trying. I can't find anything that works for me on here, and the stuff on Google is really outdated and just sends me to the mobile website.
I have 6 gmail accounts set up in the Gmail app. Never had a problem adding accounts until now. When I try to add another account, it seems to try setting up the account, and then returns the following error: "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." I have tried multiple times and always get the same error. Data is always turned on and I have a good signal.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't get this Gmail app. It doesn't seem to sync properly with my Gmail account. First off, sometimes the main screen will show "Inbox (1)" or whatever number to indicate I have email, but there are no emails when I tap "Inbox" (but there *are* emails on the website, so they are really in my inbox). This may also be related to the label syncing options. I have them all set to "sync all" because I assume this means it will keep everything synced no matter how old it is, and if you specify a number of days, then it just syncs as far back as that many days. But this seems to cause a problem too, in that sometimes I have email on the website, but the phone isn't detecting it.
Finally, both times I've tried to send an email, it won't work. The email ends up as "sending" in the Outbox, but never gets sent. And yes there is a data connection. I see no reason why it shouldn't send immediately. I didn't expect the Gmail app, of all things, to be so problematic on an Android phone!
Is there a way to delete my gmail account off the gmail app? I dont want to receive my emails on my phone. I was able to delete it off the email app on the home screen, but not in the gmail app under applications.

Does anyone know if this is possible and whether it works well or not? Are there any other limitations to using a Google Apps account on the Droid, like access to the marketplace? Thank you so very much, I desperately want to use the Droid for my work phone but I want to make sure that I can actually do work on it.

My phone has been disconnected since i havent been able to pay the bill but i'm still able to browse the internet and play games that i had downloaded from the market that require internet using the wifi connection. I created a new gmail account on my computer and i have tried to the add account on my phone using but every time is says connecting i get an error saying that they we'rent able to establish a connection to the server. Any ideas on what to do?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI wanted to connect my hero with a new gmail account that i have set up, so i search the web to find out how to remove the current gmail account that i had set up and replace it for a new one.
The solution i found was to clear the gmail app data (under settings/app management). After doing this, the phone asked me to enter a new gamil account.
The problem is that now, when i try to do this every time it tells me that it cant find a realiable network connection when trying to register the new account details with google.
I have searched around and have seen that many people had this problem. Its like the phone does not even try to communicate with google now!! Solutions range from using wifi network, using static ip to making sure you have full edge network etc.
I have tried them all to no avail. The last thing i want to do is a factory reset, but it appears thats my last solution.
Does anyone know how i can solve this problem with out a factory reset? i cant believe android does not support changing gmail account without a factory reset!
