I just got myself an android phone and very happy with it but I cannot set up the gmail account. It keeps saying: "This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care". Other internet works on phone in browser and I can get the googlemap to work too, just cannot set up the market to download apps.

I setup the same gmail account on the gmail app and on the htc widget account and now I am getting duplicates of the same email cause I have the account on both of them. Is there a way to delete my account gmail account and keep the htc widget account?

View 8 Replies View RelatedIn an act of pure evil and cruelty my other half closed my gmail account completely (because I forgot to do something important for her) and now every 2 mins it says please enter you gmail password/unable to access gmail account.And also I cannot access Android Market.In the new update that is about to be released, have they fixed the issue of being able to sign in and out and use multiple accounts? Or do you have to do a factory reset everytime you want to use a new account?

I have the gmail app setup on my HTC desire HD and it works perfectly, however when I open the HTC mail app and try and add gmail to that it doesn't work giving me a password error (even though I am sure it is right) I want to use the htc mail app as it will allow me to have all my email accounts in the same mail box. I have tested it with a hotmail account and it works fine, is gmail supported?

On the available Android Eclair code, Gmail account can be added as 'exchange' or 'corporate' account. But on Nexus one there is a different account type for gmail.
Can somebody give me information on how Gmail account has been separated from exchange account on Nexus one.
I'm in the process of switching from an iPhone 4 to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus purchased direct from Google. I wish to setup my Yahoo account, but I've run into a problem. I can receive and send emails without problems, but I can't find a feature to automatically bcc messages back to myself. I do this so that I can synchronize Sent messages with my PC. Is this feature missing in Android V4.1 or am I just not seeing it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have read through the threads here and I know this is theoretically possible, but I can't get it to work. I have my Google apps email configured through the regular email app and set to push my email, but it doesn't actually push. I thought I'd try it with the GMail app, but I can't get it set up. When I try to configure it as a Google account, it says it "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" even though my data signal is fine. This happens both on 3G and WiFi.
I had read to add the account as a Google account, using my full username@mydomain.com as the login and my password, so that's what I've been trying. I can't find anything that works for me on here, and the stuff on Google is really outdated and just sends me to the mobile website.
I just received my Nexus One - will be hooking it up with TMobile tonight. I have an apps account that is my primary everything. I also have a gmail account that just forwards all email to apps. But my picasa and googleTalk are on the gmail account. I don't know what account to make my primary and am looking for some guidance. Is it easy to switch back and forth? I prefer my apps account for contacts etc but I think I will like the googletalk and other aspects of a vanilla gmail account.

is there a way to set up my email (not gmail) to only download automatically over wifi? I receive a lot of work emails and it uses data unnecessarily when it downloads on my phone when I am at work. Ideal will be to only download when I change the setting. Don't want to turn of data completely because then all the other apps stop working too (WhatsApp, facebook etc.)

Does anyone know if this is possible and whether it works well or not? Are there any other limitations to using a Google Apps account on the Droid, like access to the marketplace? Why do I have to buy my apps all over again if I am using the same phone, credit card etc.? A few months ago I decided to buy a paid app in the Market and couldn't do so using my Google Apps account. Reluctantly, I added my Google Account as a secondary account on my phone, which allowed me to purchase apps in the Market. Now that I can finally use Google Checkout with my Google Apps account, I would like to remove my Google Account from my phone, since I'm tired of being prompted to select an account each time I create a new contact. Will removing my secondary account affect apps that are already installed? What about when updates become available for these apps in the Market?

When I enter the Mail app however it says that the "account for this widget has been deleted. Would you like to switch to another account?" When I select Yes it just leads me back to my account Inbox - the same account it claims was deleted This account was created using the Manual IMAP option.
Earlier today when I just put my details in normally, without selecting Manual, it was working okay - although the sync was a problem. At least, however, it had a notification icon on the App when I got a new email. But strangely after I wait a few minutes going back to that account inbox, it does show my emails. What can I do to stop this?
Can someone please tell me how to setup my email account using K-9 Mail. I've never setup email on a phone before. I got a Sprint tech to set it up through the standard mail app but have heard good things about K-9. I have a Roadrunner account. Can someone please help?

I have all of the sync options turned on and my phone still struggles to sync my gmail. This is getting quite frustrating. Anyone else having the same issues? I know a lot of people have talked about the market issues, but I haven't heard anything about anyone else having the same problems with their gmail.

I found when I played one of this series of PaPi game and I input my name,then all series PaPi games can read this name.
At beginning, I consider maybe the application saved some data which can be shared by other PaPi games, but when I "Factory data reset" and format the SD card, then I download these games and play them again, it's so crazy that these games can read my name which I inputed before all the same!!
next, I consider maybe the application read the only code of the phone (IMEI) to identify the phone,but I check the install information about all the PaPi games, I can't found any information about "READ PHONE STATE",so I think these applications didn't read the IMEI code. who can tell me how to achieve this function?!
