I use a 16gb SD card in my Hero and I created the following folders at root level.I put a couple of mp3 ringtones in the ringtones folder but when I go to select one of them as the default the phone doesn't see them it only lists the ringtones in the phone.What am I doing wrong?Should there be...or not be, a green tick against "SD card notifications" within the "Sound and Display" "Sound Settings"?

so I was clearing up some room for a new app and went through managing apps and deleting some and clearing some caches. And now, I can't select any of the normal ringtones on the phone for my notification sounds. When I go Personalize > Default ringtone > select ringtone. It comes up saying 'Phone Ringtone' With options of OK and Cancel. It gives me no choice of any of the old normal tones the phone had before....what the hell is going on. Same for text noises btw.

I have an Orange contract, but I have read bad things about not being able to root the Orange phones due to changed unlock keys. I am also only halfway through my contract so SIM free is the only way to go for now. This brings me to a tough decision... which colour should I go for ?

Just the other day I noticed that all of the sudden when I select an app to start from my home screen or other side screens it looks different. Normally when you select an app, a green box appears around the selected app and then disappears when it starts. Now the square has become an ugly rectangle. It looks like a return has been inserted or something. Now selecting an app places a massive green space below the app icon.Anyone else come across this issue? Is this just another bug that 1.6, 2.0 and now 2.1 were supposed to fix with me stuck on 1.5 thanks to the morons at Sprint?

View 4 Replies View RelatedNew to Android and starting to work on file mgmt. I set up some subfolders on my SD card for pictures. I have been moving pictures from one folder to another, but I can only move one at a time. Is there a way to select multiple picture files and move them to another folder (like "Select All" with Windows)? This is the sequence I've been following: Use the Edit Icon in the Astro taskbar, select Move, then going to the directory folder I want to move them, and hit Paste. Moving one file at a time is taking for ever.

Except that I can't figure out how to do a couple of things. 1. Is there a way to select and delete multiple emails on the phone and 2. How do I get rid of all my spam mail that comes in on the laptop (and gets filtered out there). Do I have to set up some kind of email push program so that the email comes in from my computer (already filtered) instead of from the server? You can see my learning curve is steep.........

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe reason I KNOW its not me changing these ringtones in all of the assignable designations for media files to be played for the ringtones and such is that I have not a single of my music files within any of these settings as an option to assign in the first place. They are showing up randomly. This morning I awoke to Rock n Roll by Led Zeppelin, and earlier today a friend called my whose ringtone was changed to 99 Red Balloons.
Let me reitterate; I have never assingned a music track as a ringtone, alarm, or notification. The previous ringtone still exists in my library and is functional IE; i can reassign the same ringtone to a person again. I THINK that only ringtones which are NOT DEFAULT are changing. I do have an abundance of navigation (gps, turn by turn, ect), some news, a widget for quick settings (wifi, bluetooth, ringer on/off, gps), Music (shazam, pandora tunee music, The house FM christian radio) Astro file manager, Emulators, facebook integration.I have noticed some coming on by themselves. Ill try to note when I have done nothing to activate them.
I am enjoying my new phone but having trouble finding apps with up to date mp3 music/ringtones on and could someone explain how i save mp3 tracks/ringtones to my memory card.
