Motorola Droid :: Froyo Default Lock Screen Gone?

This might be how it is suppose to work, but the only time that I get a lock screen anymore is when I first boot the phone up or set the PIN or Password locks. I carry my phone in pocket when at work (especially from meeting to meeting) and the volume rocker or camera button sometimes wake the phone up and open up apps. Other than this, my phone is running amazing!! No other issues.Does anyone know how to get the default lock back? Running NexFro 1.0.1 with P3 1200 LV Kernel

Well, I'm not sure what changed. I installed 2.2 the first day it was available. However, tonight after I turned it back on, I now must unlock my screen. I have not installed anything and I'm not sure why it locks now. I went into the Menu>Settings>Location&Security and can no longer disable the lock screen. What has changed?

I just downloaded this and i'm trying to figure it out. Is there a way to make this the default lock screen from setup? Or do I have to open it every time i restart my phone?
If another thread exists about this program just send it my way and I'll walk away hanging my head.

Looked around a bit and I can't seem to find any other posts about it but sometimes when i go to unlock my phone its at the default lock screen instead of my lock 2.0 screen. Anyone else have issues with that? If so how do i fix it?

So i was doing a little searching and i came across this Download: 2.1 Clock App from Nexus One | Droid Life: A Motorola Droid Blog.So when you open the app and press the end button it becomes your lock screen but when you don't open the app you get the oringal HTC Sense lock screen. So i was wondering how you can make this your default lock screen

I absolutely hate the sense lock screen. The downward swipe unlocks way to easily. If I don't have a pattern lock enabled my pocket sends all kind of crazy messages and phone calls. I dislike the pattern lock because I basically have to unlock my phone twice every time I want to use it. Is there a way to load the default android lock screen as it appears on the Driod or Nexus 1? The sideways swipe seems much more secure to me. I have tried other apps like lock 2.0 but then you lose the slide to answer and my pocket answers for me before I know I have a call.

ok this might not sound like a pain to most but it is to me after updating to 2.2 now i can turn my screen back on with any button and not just the top power button i dont like this no telling how many times i hit the camera button while it is in my pocket and the screen comes on i want it back to just the power button to turn the screen on anyone know how to change this and a side note running out of space THEN I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DELETE TWITTER! so far i hate 2.2

was using auto-lock but that stop working with the froyo build im just trying to disable that annoy lock screen everty 2 min, but i want to keep the pattern lock on,but maybe have it only set to activate after say 3hours of non activity a program out here to do that?

1. I run an application called "lockpicker" which allows me to bypass the Exchange Lock screen, which made me put in a password every time I would turn my phone off, or every time I would shut off the screen (which was VERY annoying). I have had no problems with my work email, connecting to it, or with the exchange lock screen since installing lockpicker. In fact, its like the lock screen doesnt even exist, which I love. I hear that lockpicker is NOT compatible with Froyo 2.2, which makes me extremely nervous about upgrading, because if I have to put in a code every time my phone goes to sleep, I will like the phone a lot less.
2. Google Listen - I use this program to listen to 5-6 podcasts that I subscribe to and I find that while it does have some bugs, its simple and the easiest way I have found to organize my podcasts and listen to them. I hear that this doesnt work anymore with 2.2 either (although I could be wrong).........

This may be a stupid question but I didn't see it in the forum already - I really miss the music controls on the lock screen, which 1.5 and 2.2 had. I'm running KaosFroyo 38 and it doesn't seem to have this - at least not that I can find? Am I missing it in the settings somewhere, or is there an app or widget I can download?

I am going crazy here... I've had this thing since it launched and everything is great except I keep hitting buttons with my face during calls! I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?

I'm having an issue with my phone. Most of the time my lock screen is focused on screen 4 (I use 5 screens) instead of on whatever screen I go to when unlocked. Does anybody else have this problem? I'm using Launcherpro if that makes a difference.

My nephew was playing with my phone and evidently set a password on the phone to wake it up. He told me the password and I can use it to wake the phone up just fine but I use the slide screen, but now there is both password unlock and the slide screens. I cant figure how to remove the password one

Is there a way to extend the delay of the pattern/PIN screen lock to several hours? Lock Delay does this for 2.1, but I read that it doesn't work well with Froyo.

Does anyone know how to set the Lock 2.0 as the default screen locker? If I reboot my CDMA Hero, then the standard Lock screen will appear. If I manually run Lock 2.0 first, then it will use that until I next reboot. Also, is there a way to modify the information that appears on the lock screen? I'd love to be able to see missed calls / reminders there.

Camera application process dies and restarts again when device is Locked/End Call Key is clicked. Steps to reproduce: 1) Launch Camera application. 2) Click on End Call key(it acts as lock screen when there is no active call) or wait till device is locked. 3) Camera application is paused and surfaceDestroyed callback is not being called. 4) Camera process has died and restarted again. I would like to know why Camera process has died after onPause is being called and restarted again when device is put to Lock state. For all key events like BackKey,HomeKey and Accept Key it is working fine.

Before I updated to 2.2 I turned off the default lock screen and kept off through the update process and now with 2.2 there is no option to turn it back on only the pin, password and pattern options are available. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to get it back?
