I'm using the Nonsensikal ROM now and noticed that Car Home doesnt work anymore. I've installed twice and the app's shortcut is nowhere to be found and under applications, the 'open' button is grayed out. Only 'uninstall' is avalable. Not sure what the dealio is...

For some reason, my Facebook App doesn't show the News Feed anymore. It worked this morning, but not anymore. When I click the News Feed button, it just says "Loading User Info" and then it shows my info.Anyone know how to fix this?
View 29 Replies View RelatedMy phone hasn't been able to locate a GPS signal when using Google Navigation/Maps for about the past five days. I only really noticed this problem last Thursday... which seems about the same time I received the latest update. The timing would indicate the two are related?
The GPS is turned on, and the satellite icon displays on the toolbar. The phone displays "Searching for GPS" at the bottom. I'm running Locale, and it continues to recognize conditions based on location data... so it would seem the GPS is still working for that, at least.
I was just downloading some Apps like 3G Watchdog and Dolphin in WiFi, and then afterwards I wanted to browse the Internetin 3G mode but its not active. The little icon at the top that represented this is not visible anymore. However, Mobile Network is on
View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone else's phone randomly stop receiving SMS messages? I even have SMStomail installed and it doesn't catch the SMS messages at all. I can make calls, get emails, but no SMS at all until I reboot. It's happened twice and is beginning to get annoying.
This is not the same as the SMS/VM issue because a simple reboot solves it, and I am no where near 40mb on my ROM, and the SMStomail service doesn't catch it.
I just updated my eris with the new 2.1 and downloaded the homerun 3d game. It doesn't seem to work. does this happen to your eris at all?

I can long press any of the top two rows apps/widgets fine to remove or add in an empty space. but the bottom two rows I can't remove or add with a long press.anyone else have this issue? I'm trying to figure out whats new but she isn't that into her phone so she never installs stuff on it, im the one tweaking and playing with her phone and I haven't touched it in a week this started happening randomly 2 days ago.

I have my langauge set to English (US). I cleared the Google Search application data.
Other voice actions work, likes "send text", "navigate to", "call", pizza, "how old is Barak Obama". For some reason "Listen to" just does a google search. SGH-I317M
This was working fine when I first started the project. I am referring to editing/adding to the strings.xml file. It used to display a design and XML tab that allowed me to update it. now its just showing up as a table. Any ideas? I don't understand how I could have messed this up. I did check in another project of mine and I am getting the same results so I don't think it has anything to do with the XML.

I just added the leaked 2.1 yesterday and was trying to add the new 2.1 music player that a few people have added. I dl'ed it on my computer and connected my eris to my PC through USB. Once I connected, it gave me three options, charge only, HTC Sync, or disk drive. I chose disk drive and added the new musicplayer file to my phone. Forgetting how to access my SD card files, I went to Settings>SD card &phone storage> and quite regretably hit Unmount SD card. In doing this, the only option I have on that screen is to Format (erase) my SD card (Which I'd rather not do). Now when I connect using USB, I only get the first 2 options, charge and HTC sync, and cannot connect with my PC anymore as a disk drive. how I can connect back up with USB to my computer? and where do I go to access the files I've added to my SD card? Also, My phone display only shows 2 signal bars and does not say 3g or 1x anymore. very strange. anyone else? I thought the 3g problem would still show "1x" in display? i do not have the update yet either.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI sync my Eris with Outlook on my computer but have not done so since March 2010. When I now plug my Eris into a USB port, it does not recognize it as another drive or hardware like it used to. The computer does recognize other peripherals when plugged into the USB port.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI used to have chompSMS and the trackball lit up when I got a new text. I uninstalled it and went back to the native texting app but decided I liked chompSMS's UI and ability to set different ringtones to different contacts so I went back to it... and now my trackball won't light up when I get a text. The notification LED flashes, but no trackball light at all. I kind of liked it cause it was the only way I could tell I got a text when I was on a call (seeing the trackball light up out of the corner of my eye).Any ideas as to what's wrong? Or does chompSMS's latest update not support the trackball lighting up anymore?The trackball still lights up for calls and emails though, so I know it's not the phone's hardware causing the problem.

I installed Fusion Visual Voicemail a few weeks ago, and didn't really use it that much, so I uninstalled it. My phone crashed and I had to hard reset it, but I'm still getting those texts from the App when I receive a new voicemail. They don't make sense, it's all a bunch of numbers. When I try to call my voicemail it's another answering service. I can't find it under the "Manage Applications" tab.

I have a htc sensation xl. My brightness control stopped working and I now I can't change the brightness anymore. It doesn't matter if I set to 30% or 100%, the brightness stays the same.I can only adjust the brightness from 0 to 25%. I already did and wipe and stiched a phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo everything is perfect about my Eris except that the scroll-ball doesn't scroll left anymore. This isn't the first time the problem came up. My last Eris had the same problem. It scrolls in every direction except which is kinda annoying as I use it alot more than I thought I would. Should I take it up with Verizon? It isn't a life or death situation but it makes editing sentences in texts a pain.

I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

I'm loving the Android.I have to say that after 5 days of owning this device I'm only left scratching my head on one point the auto-orientation of the home screen.I've seen videos of rooted G1's running the hacked 1.5 firmware and the recently posted video of the Samsung i7500 with the 1.5 firmware all CLEARLY show that when the device is on home screen, the desktop (read home screen) auto-rotates depending on the orientation of the device. The Samsung video shows it working in ALL FOUR orientations!This doesn't happen on my Magic . Flip the orientation in an application? Works fine. Flip it back in an application? Works fine. Do it on the home screen?Am I missing something? Is this a feature that is disabled in the offical 1.5 Cupcake release? If that's the case - fine with me. I'll stop scratching my head and move on.
