View 18 RepliesI personally own the Motorola Droid, But one one my customers has the eris. Here is the question. He claims that whenever he call a contact, the actual contact is no longer available in the contact list but is instead moved over to the recent calls list. I told him that I believe that the recent call list only shows recent call and that the contact should to be found in proper order on the Contact list. Having no actual experience with this phone, I'm just looking for clarification. Does a recently called contact have to be found in the recent call list? If not, what may my customer be confused by? Is there a free application to make this any easier for him?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHere is my issue. When I read or delete an email from my phone, it doesn't reflect in gmail when I login. It still shows as unread. Whenever I get new emails on the phone, it will say I have 5, but I only have 1 because I already read the other 4. But I cannot see them and can only view them then from gmail online. Never had this issue live past a *228 and reboot. I have cleared cache, tried reflash. Everything. Even went back to a working NAND and still same issue. I am using Aloysius v11 MAPS.

The icon I want to use is actually a bookmark icon for ING Direct (it is a small, orange circle). The only way I can get it to work is if I modify the settings to "swype up" for application launch. Unfortunately, if I press the icon I am taken to the ING direct website. Is there a way to pull the icon out of my phone somehow in order to use it as a 'custom icon'?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOk I've read a gazillion threads on battery life and 2.1 etc etc and you have me all waiting anxiously for an update and bigger batteries but what about actual talk time on the phone? didn't see any threads about that. Its not uncommon for my phone to be a toy all week then on the weekend catch up with some buds or family or whatever and yak on the thing for 2 hours straight. Will it hold? I know my old razer with an ext batt would go 4 hours talk time easy, glimmer would do 2.5 hrs easy with stock battery sometimes more. Pearl did well, haven't really talked the Storm out cause its my work phone and I tend to shun that thing on the weekends ....so let me know how long you've talked on it! Battery life does seem to stink but I can't put the damn thing down so I'm sure that has something to do with it and all my other smartphones sucked battery wise too the first week or so, so I'm not passing judgment yet, just want to know how long i can talk on the thing before it dies....I will do my own testing soon but would like some ideas.

public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);

private NotifyMe(){

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed with my T-Mobile G2 that there is no call waiting alert with the default settings, so I'm never aware of someone trying to ring me from within another call - a function that's been standard on every other mobile I've used.
I'm sure it must be possible to set this up, but can't seem to find out how to do it. Very annoying, as I invariably get calls on top of one another and people are starting to tell me they're sick of being put through to my voicemail.
I have an Activity (A) and a Service (S) which gets started by A like this:

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to compile a list of Android phones that either
1) Comes with native call recording functionality.
2) Support call recording with 3rd party applications.
It would be great if you can lend a hand.Please note that phone/apps that require using speakerphone to record the calls do *not* count. That's a ugly hack I consider marginally useful.Please don't bring legality discussions here as well.Models that have this function built-in.Samsung Galaxy S (South Korean version SHW-M110S, with firmware DH09 or newer).Models that don't have this function built-in but can use 3rd party app to record calls in both ways without turning on speakerphone.HTC Magic (a.k.a. G2); requires root and custom kernel; with rViox
Does anybody know how can I get the build-in function call trace on Android phone?

I have several modules within a single native library, each module is intended to be the compliment to a Java class within the application. How can I call the native functions without having to perform a System. load Library within each Java class? If I load the library in a common class (not through inheritance) the app fails with a link exception.

I want to do something similar for FocusChange of buttons, is this possible?
Specifically, I wish to increase my button's size when it has focus and make it normal sized when not focussed. To apply this to all my buttons, I hoped to call a specific function which does this and then specify this function name in my style.xml. But there is no onFocusChange attribute in android.
It works when I add overriden onSetFocusChangeListener for each of my buttons separately in the code. But is there any other solution?
