Oct 3, 2012 I've just got a few questions in regards to dual booting roms on my device (Gs2 i777 running Dream Kernel 2.7.4.) So yes, Anyway, I'm looking to dual boot roms. As of now, I have the CM10 nightly build as my daily driver, which is nice. I've got Jelly Bean running as well. But when I boot to recovery, I no longer have the Dream Kernel boot up screen, which provides the option to dual boot, which is what I'm looking to do.
Do I need to get off CM10, go back to my back up, and then set up the dual boot from there? Or can I set up my dual boot on the CM10 mod?
HTC EVO 4G :: No Download Option For Email Attachments (Ringtones)
Jul 21, 2010I emailed myself a couple of ringtones (.mp3 format). small files ~30 kb. When I go to gmail on my phone, the ringtones are there in the email as attachments. I can "Preview" and they play fine, but I get no "Download" option.

Nov 1, 2010How to download ROMS...I think. I went to [removed] in my browser and it downloaded the file but when I got to open it in the emulator it is saying "Load Rom Failed. Please try another file? It is a zip file. Do I need something extra downloaded on the phone to unzip it?

May 9, 2010Any idea what's the best option I have to purchase and download entire music ALBUMS directly on my phone? Sorry, this is my first smartphone, so I don't know much. Are there any apps for it? Someone told me "Amazon MP3 Store" for Android. I went to MarketPlace and searched for "Amazon" but could not find any Amazon MP3 App. I tried to purchase an album from amazon.com, but it says I need to install an "Amazon MP3 downloader" to purchase albums and it does not give me an option to download a version for the Android OS (however, it asks me to select one of 4 linux distributions). The other option I have is to buy and download individual songs from amazon.com, but I don't want that. I want to download entire albums. What is the best option I have? (P.S: I am not looking for free music).

Jul 13, 2010I have a rooted Moment and just downloaded the lite version of the Genesis emulator because I want to test it out before i decide if i should buy it, or the SNES/NES ones. My questions are what are the best sites to download roms for these emulators and then how do you run them? I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to phones and OS's so any help would be great.
Really the only games im looking for are Mortal Kombat 1 and 2. Mario of course for the SNES/NES. I remember trying to find Mario for the emulator I had on my computer but couldn't find any.

Nov 10, 2010I have tried three different Roms and i haven't been able to get exactly what i want, I tried Mikrom or something like that and it was great, very fast and responsive (would be my top choice) but it doesn't have sexy Rosie so the theme I want doesn't work, same thing with Myn v3 (all though slower than mik) and now I am using fresh which i can get my theme on and even after trying two Kings kernels B and C 11, and on netachry 4.1.9.1 i think it is still leggy in some different areas, So i was wondering if anyone knew of another one for me to try. Looking for sense, with sexy Rosie, fast and stable, stripped down of preferable but not a deal breaker as long as i can just adb and take it all out. oh and the theme i am trying to use is the clear theme by riptide.

Jun 17, 2010Today I plugged my Desire in to the USB socket, to top up the charge, and noticed the little USB icon/logo thing that usually shows up on the top left of the Desire's screen wasn't there. I checked in the phone's settings and it is still set to ask me what to do when I plug it in. I have tried a couple of leads (including the one HTC gave me) as well as both front and back USB ports. My PC is running windows 7 and it plays the chime when I plug my phone in.
It also appears in devices/printers but when I right click the phone and choose browse files it is greyed out! I have tried uninstalling the drivers etc, restarting the PC, I even tried to plug the phone into my netbook (running Ubuntu, which used to recognize the phone) but nothing works! It is not really the end of the world but I would like to sort it. The phone charges when I plug it in the USB socket on the PC. I suddenly thought 'I haven't rebooted the phone' so I did and all works as it should now.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: SE Sync Option Not Working
May 11, 2010I'm having some troubles using the SE sync option. When I update my contacts with pictures and create new contacts, these are not updated in my X10.
Any changes I do with contacts are however perfectly transfered to my phone. Is this normal ?? Why are the pictures not transferred ?
Also in Gmail and SE sync there is an option to insert birthdays for my contacts, but I cannot see them in my X10. Is there any option for this, because that would be very important for me.
Motorola Droid :: Swipe Right Option Screen Not Working
Nov 29, 2009As you know, when you boot up the droid, you get the option to swipe right and put the phone on "silent". However, once you set up your phone with a security pattern, the first screen to come up is the pattern screen, and then you no longer get the swipe right option screen. Is the only way then to go into sound settings and put the phone on silent the "long way"? Any way to get the silent swipe right screen to come up AFTER the pattern unlock screen?
Also, has anyone noticed that around the entire rectangle glass screen, there's a tiny groove on all 4 sides, which is starting to collect dust particles? I'm getting dust particles in these "tiny grooves" along the edges of the screen before you hit the metal. Yes, I do carry the Droid in a holster, and I'm pretty OCD about my equipment, so it isn't ME.

when i try to use the encrypt tablet, it goes to the black screen with Android Logo doing nothing for hours.
Is there any file missing in Android OS thats causing this. tell me a similar ROM for the above, so that i can try to root it with a new rom? its a 3G calling tablet.

Nov 12, 2010I thought I saw a thread somewhere someone stared with roms that work with the SNESoid but I can't seem to find it (maybe I'm mistaking it for a different emulator though).
Can anyone point me to it, or tell me if they have been able to get Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure to work? It may be the ROM I'm trying, but I can't seem to get the game to work.
Also, I have not tried the PSX emulator, but am thinking about buying it. Can anyone with it try Pitfall 3D for me and see how that runs?
Games :: PSX4Droid Working Roms Spot
Jul 28, 2010So they finally allowed the PSX4Droid to be released on the marketplace and I've tried out 5 ROMS. Post what you've tried and what works so we can all know what to download. Here's what I tried:
Oddworld Abe's Oddyssey - trailing images, background messed up. Sound is good, video images at beginning work great. Trailing images and background are disappointing.
Oddworld Abe's Exoddus - same as the first one.
Crash Bandicoot 2 - images ok, sound great but verrrry laggy.
Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit - flawless from what I experienced. Sound great, images great, video great.
Metal Gear Solid - most disappointing. Loads fine, goes to the menu, you select your difficulty....blank. I've tried from 2 rom sites. No dice.
Overall experience, disappointing. There really needs to be an update so these roms can work properly.
