The google speak microphone keeps randomly p opp ing up, is this a glitch or am I pressing something I don't know about. Also I keep getting as pop up of as 2x3 grid of my open tasks. I have task killer so i think it might have something to do with that.

The music player randomly starts up when I have my headphones inserted! How do I describe this? I'm watching a movie in Merdian, I change my body position, the headphone jack moves around a bit, then, without any warning, the music player starts playing in the background! Right in the middle of my movie Anyone else seen this problem ? If my headphones are inserted, a small twist at the jack, and regardless of what I'm doing (browser, home screen ...etc) the music player starts up.

Nothing else gives this problem on my phone, and my phone also had this same problem with the old Google Market App.
A song can be playing then just stop. I have to hit the Play button again. It can continue for quite a while across multiple songs, or just stop again in 15 seconds, or 30 seconds, or 5 minutes, or ... Again and again. Needless to say, I want to throw it across the room when this happens right in the middle of an intense set of reps at the gym.
I'm not streaming, the music is loaded onto my phone. It happens at random points on random songs - the same song can play fine all the way through today, and not tomorrow. I'm using corded earbuds, but I don't think it's hardware as I've been sitting in a single position not moving (mid-strertch) with the phone on a separate, stable platform and it's just ... stopped. I've rebooted. I've removed and reinstalled Play Music.
I'm running a Nexus 4/KitKat on Telus. But from what I've googles, this problem isn't unique to the Nexus - but no one has found a solution.
Had this problem before loading Kit Kat but it seemed to have "mostly" gone away then come back again with KitKat. "Typically", but not always, music plays for a while but then once it stops the first time it just keeps it up.
I don't even use google play music, but whenver I start my device or restart it, I get annoying pop up errors telling me "unfortunately google play music has stopped working", I have never even started Google play music and it's not in my active applications. If I do open it, it always freezes and crashes. My phone is unrooted so I can't do anything about it, and the errors keep popping up randomly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Google play store randomly stopped working earlier today. It isn't closing or crashing. It is just endlessly loading. No time out message or error message. Tried with both 4g and wifi. I am using a Galaxy s3 on Verizon, jelly bean 4.3. The only thing I noticed is that Clash of Clans updated this morning but I was able to get on and download the update and then get back on play store but like not long after that it won't open.

View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently installed Talk To Me Cloud, the translation app. Is pretty cool to press a button, talk into it and get a translation. There seems to be a little speaker icon next to the translation results, and when I press it I would expect to hear it say the translated sentence back to me, but it doesn't. Nothing happens. Press slightly to the left on if on the text itself and I'm told it's copied the text to the clipboard, but pressing on the little speaker icon does nothing. I have text to speech installed on my phone, which works in other apps (well, it worked in Sportypal anyway), so anyone know if there is a way of making this work? Should it work?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI installed talk to me for my android 2.1 htc wildfire. Ive installed the additional packages required like tts extended 3.0 etc.. i also purchased voice from svox. I set the settings in the tts extended to unchecked in the Always use my settings.. set default engine to Svox. i see the languages i purchased in the language setting.
whenever i try to translate a word it does it fine but when i want it to speak the translated language it keeps telling me i need to buy the language and its missing, even though i have purchased it and installed it. Any ideas?
I was watching HSN Network today and theywere advertising an Acer Iconia 7" Tablet. One of the features was the ability to dictate your emails in Gmail without typing them. How can I do that on my tablet (Which is Not an Acer Iconia)? Is there an app I need, if so, what is it?

Or are the only notifications given on the actual chomp icon? (I don't want to have two notifications.) I was also wondering if I would still be able to use the "speak to text" feature that the stock app has? People I call are telling me that they hear a phone number being dialed loudly while I speak to them, as if I am making a call while speaking to them. I don't think my thumb has grown any bigger since the update so I'm wondering if this is happening to anyone else.For example if I wanted to type " Hey how's it going?" it will often come up like "Hey. How's. It. Going?" and I then have to try and retype it properly.Is it possible that the "." button programming is overlapping into the right side of the space bar?

When i push on that corner I hear a noise. Its almost like I am hearing the screen pop in and out. I have only had this phone for two weeks. This is bull crap.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Advanced Task Killer Free and it always shows Voice Search and AT&T Navigator keep coming on after I kill those apps. Can I disable them from running? I don't believe I have any apps running that require for those 2 to be running. Excuse my naiveness. This is my first Android phone and I'm still learning. Also, I've had my phone charging for about 45 minutes and the charge only went up 2% since. I turned off wifi, syncing, and whatever else should be draining the battery. Any suggestions on what I could do to have a longer lasting battery?

I'd like to pop up Toast messages "Step 1", "Step 2", "Step 3", "Finished!" as the process progresses. I'm using the standard Java Thread interface to run the process in a thread and I've found that trying to pop up Toast from the thread causes an FC. What is the best way to report this kind of progress - step by step messages?

In a quiet room I set the volume to "1" (i.e., one notch above nothing) and it's still a bit loud. That's how sensitive they are.While playing music there is a very noticeable hissing & popping (more like a thumping). This noise can be isolated by turning the volume to "0" while the music is playing.Others have complained of this, and different people have claimed their music is crystal clear. I wonder if there's a common defect to many but not all desires. or if only those of us with particularly sensitive earphones can hear such quiet interference.Maybe it's something else causing it, like the wifi? I will experiment later.

I selected one photo that I wanted to have as my wallpaper but for some reason throughout the day I also get all the other photos popping up on the screen.
