General :: WiFi Stuck On Scanning?
Sep 10, 2013wrong area for this but i have a alcatel one touch 960C (not even on this site) but i cant connect to wifi at ALL. its stuck on scanning and it flashs scanning sometimes. any way to access wifi files or some sort?
ive tried everything.
hard reset.
sysetem restoring
SDK (not sure if any wifi sdk's are out there)
i dont have data so i have no way but PC to access files.
how to flash nor do i now anything on roms or flashing roms.

Oct 8, 2010Twitter showed there was an update in Market last night, so naturally, I updated. After like an hour, I noticed it was still showing as "Installing" in Market. I turned off the phone and back on. Still showed "Installing" I went to sleep figuring it has to finish by the time I wake up.I tried uninstalling Twitter with AppBrain. Still shows "Installing" Rebooted my phone again.

Oct 4, 2010Do those numbers seem normal to the rest of you? Right now if I am using my phone for browsing, video, etc. it will run the battery from full charge to dead in just under 4 hours. If I just leave the phone turned on but with no apps running (standby) it runs out of power in roughly 48 hours. Is this the battery life I should expect from this phone?

HTC Droid Eris :: Water Damage / Turn On But Stuck At Boot Up Screen
Sep 29, 2010Both of the stickers - the one on my phone, and the one on the battery still have red X's. I have read that this is good. I dropped my phone in a toilet (recently flushed thank god) in the Staten Island Ferry Terminal (see, nothing good comes of traveling to SI!) and grabbed it out as soon as I saw it. I had a plastic case on the back of it. Took it apart as soon as I got my wits about me. And no, I wasn't using it - It flew out of my backpack when I turned around.
It will turn on but has this odd boot up screen. I don't believe rice will get the water out of the inside, and I don't have a screw driver tiny enough. If I bring it to the Verizon store will they know it had water damage from the screen alone? It looks normal almost like the DOS blue screen of death sort. Also, the little tiny green sticker in the lower right hand corner that says VOID - is that a water damage indicator too? I don't recall ever caring what it was.

When checked, it states "deselect to conserve battery"
So, the question is, should this be enabled?
I imagine for some applications, knowing your precise location should be useful, especially if the turn-by-turn maps are installed and used.
I'm thinking to deselect this, and selecting it at times when I need it.
So, to check or not to check?
HTC EVO 4G :: 4g Keeps Scanning - Chicago
Jul 2, 2010I am on my 3rd Evo and this one was perfect except that the 4g doesn't work, it simply keeps scanning. My previous two evos worked instantaneous. I was on the phone with a technician for an hour and still no luck. Anyone else experience this issue?
I've done everything from factory reset, updating profile, turning off phone, etc. Anyone in chicago 4g working fine?

Nov 12, 2010I have a question concerning threads, handlers, loopers, etc. in android: In my application i have to take pictures from the camera preview (not pictures from the camera but rather just a preview frame) every time when the camera gets autofocus. So i want to implement some kind of "scanner". The app continues requesting autofocus and preview frames until the app detects a valid barcode in the picture. To achieve a continuous scanning process the app schould repeatedly request autofocus of the camera. At the moment when the camera got autofocus the next autofocus request should be fired immediately. Do you have any tips for implementig this?

Ideally, this information should be sortable using various keys. The bizarre thing is that after trying two or three, I haven't yet found one that will sort by author's last name! Honestly, who would want to sort by author's first name? (Is whatever is wrong with the People app catching or something? )

I decided to try a Froyo based Rom and my first two attempts (FroShedYo.V6 and Nonsensikal v13.2) both had the same WiFi issue.
I can't connect or even detect my wireless network. I'm 5 feet away from the AP which had great connectivity with the xtr Roms.
Settings..show Wi-Fi scanning continously.
Reboot...cycled airplane mode... nothing.
Even rewiped and reflashed.
Everything else appears to be working great.

Jul 15, 2010I send backup tapes offsite each day, and every day I have to write down the barcode numbers and print them off so the driver can sign for them to say he has taken them.I know there is a 101 apps to scan, but they are all for shopping, is there a free app that will simply let me scan more than 1 item at a time, then show the scanned items in a report so I can email it myself from my phone?Just a text file that list barcodes in a row would be nice.

Jan 10, 2010I seem to be the only one having this problem. I got my Hero about a week ago and stumbled upon this thread, so I figured I'd try some of these apps out. Well, when I scan the barcode, three options come up, two of which are to share the URL, the other, to open the browser. Naturally, I pick the first to open the browser only to receive an error message "There are no matches in android market for the search: XXXX". What am I doing wrong? Also, I wanted to make sure my build number was correct as it suggests at the top of the thread, but I couldn't find anything like that on the HTC website.

4G constantly scans and will not connect. I live in Atlanta 4G was working. I have checked my Mac Address and it matches with the phone. Any help would be appreciated. I have searched but most articles I found were from July.
Also I am on a Mac, I am rooted via unRevoked and use Rom manager to load roms.

I'm using PDF Viewer and every time I want to open a PDF file, it spends a while scanning the phone for PDFs - time-consuming when I have a collection of several hundred on it.
