HTC EVO 4G :: Want To Remove Scratches From Kickstand?

Jun 29, 2010

HTC's horrible decision in placement of the stand(aka right where the phone rests), my kickstand has developed some scratches. I know their is a solution I can probably use to get rid of the scratches but not sure exactly what it is. Any anyone knows or has any ideas how to get the scratches off, please post.

Motorola Droid :: Is There Any Magical Way To Remove Screen Scratches?

Jan 14, 2010

My Droid has a very small scratch on the screen. It's not bad enough to have a texture (I can't feel it if I rub my finger over it), but it does reflect the light in just a way that makes it fairly visible when a light background is displayed. I'm always very careful with my phone, and I have no idea how it got scratched.I've heard of numerous home remedy type fixes for screens, but some of them sound completely outlandish and some sound like they might damage the screen even worse. Is there any "real" way to fix it or am I stuck with the scratch? Also, does anyone have any recommendations for screen protectors? I've heard that lots of them mess with the touch screen or distort the picture. Are there any truly "good" screen protectors?

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: How To Remove Scratches From Screen?

Nov 18, 2010

I've been using my X10 mini for 3-4 months now. The screen is already full of scratches (even with careful use), some are smaller, some are larger.Do you guys happen to have any suggestions on what products would be best (and in any case, not make things any worse) to polish the screen? Some products which can be found from Amazon or eBay would be great.I'm thinking of buying an invisibleSHIELD for the phone, but I'd like to have a scratch-free screen underneath it.Thanks Sony Ericsson for misguiding the customers with specifications promising a scratch resistant screen, while it obviously is just some soft plastic.

HTC EVO 4G :: How To Get A Kickstand?

Jun 5, 2010

Alright, be honest... Who's using the kickstand? I'm not. I was open to it when I got it, but I just haven't found it useful. If the kickstand held the phone up in portrait mode as well as landscape mode, I'd probably use it when I'm just sitting at my desk, but I don't really use landscape mode unless I'm watching a movie or TV, which I haven't really done yet or see myself doing. So is anyone using it? And for what?

HTC EVO 4G :: Kickstand Won't Stay Down?

HTC EVO 4G :: Kickstand Won't Close Fully?

Aug 27, 2010

So it didn't happen immediately after dropping my phone, but I've dropped my phone a few times from hip level on hard surfaces (concrete, tile, etc.) and one day I noticed my spring on the stand wasn't operating correctly. Basically now my kickstand won't close fully and randomly will pop open or stay open like halfway. So my question is has anyone had this issue yet? Was the repair easy to fix? Just open the backplate and keep performing surgery until the stands spring is accessible?

HTC Incredible :: How To Make Own Kickstand?

May 15, 2010

First off I have the VZW holster/case combo for my DI. Amazon.com: HTC Droid Incredible Shell Holster Combo: Cell Phones... Then I purchased the Body Glove kickstand for a whopping $1.98 Amazon.com: Body Glove Low Profile Replacement Swivel Holster Belt Clip with Adjustable Kickstand for Snap-On Case: Electronics Then, using a hacksaw blade, I cut the kickstand portion to separate it from the swivel belt clip (which is not needed). I carefully aligned the kickstand to the backside of the case (camera lens side) and, using a pencil, marked where the kickstand would be attached. Using a tiny bit of super glue on both upper and lower edges of the backside of the kickstand, I pressed it into place, held it in position for 30 seconds and then set it aside for a few minutes for the glue to set. It slides in and out of the case and does not interfere or add bulk to either the phone or the case. The kickstand works in either landscape or portrait and "clicks" (locks) exactly the same as the factory Body Glove does. I made one for my Eris and now one for my Incredible. It's never broken off and I use it constantly with no problems at all. People ask me where I got this cool holster/case combo with the kickstand. I tell them I made it.

HTC EVO 4G :: Stable Kickstand With Gel Case On

Jun 5, 2010

Anyone using the black silicone gel case from Sprint?, if so, is it stable when using the kickstand? Reason I ask is because I have the Htc Imagio, but when I put a similar gel case on it it made it wider and it would tip over when using the kickstand, so I cannot use the gel case.

I canceled my order for a seidio innocase II because of the thread that showed that the case caused scratches on the phone. I want to keep my evo in pristine condition and want something that won't scratch it and that I can get in less then a weak. I saw the active seidio case on amazon but shipping estimates are 3-4 weeks from now and that just won't happen. I know I will probably have to go with a silicon case and I'm ok with that.

Motorola Droid X :: Scratches Under Screen?

Jul 19, 2010

While looking at my screen in bright sunlight this morning, I noticed there are some light scratches that appear to be under the screen. I can only see them in direct sunlight or under a bright desk light while holding the phone at a certain angle. Is this at all normal? I just got the phone on Friday and noticed this immediately and haven't dropped it, pocketed it with keys, etc. I would think if the scratches were on the outside of the glass, they would be easier to notice. Would you send it back for a replacement?

Well my f'ing Honda key did it again! It got my Eris and now my Incredible. God I am so careful not to put anything in the same pocket as my phone but the one time I was out in board shorts and had to put them in there together all over my screen! I hate screen protectors because I LOVE the feel of the glass and hated my Droid with its Zaggs protector. Oh well I guess I have proof for anyone thinking these screens are scratch proof.

HTC Desire HD :: Best Protection To Prevent Screen Scratches?

Nov 10, 2010

I'm considering getting a screen protector, but I'm also wondering how much it'll affect sensitivity/responsiveness. If I do get something to protect my phone, what is the best material/brand/manufacturer to go with? Or perhaps just a leather case would be enough? That way the screen stays perfect and it's still protected when I'm not using it.

After all, I heard the screen quality is pretty good. It's glass, or am I thinking of a different phone? It might not be a "Gorilla" screen like the Samsung Galaxy, but I've heard it's pretty resilient. I think it should be ok with just a leather case, unless anyone here's already got some bad experiences with the screen?

Motorola Droid :: Scratches / Tears After 1 Day Of Owning

Nov 9, 2009

Having owned the droid for one day I already have a scratch on the plastic/metal? the side where you plug in the USB. Underneath there are a bunch of scribbles when I tried to plug it in the dark. Also the rubber on the back of the device... the rubber strip that is on top of the camera also has a noticeable tear. I have done nothing to the device except keep it in a clean pocket that had nothing else in it. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Seems like solid build quality with the internal hardware well protected but I worry it can easily be cosmetically damaged.

I think they should have gone wth a matte or aluminum finish or even the soft finish like on the battery cover.
