I have been looking on how to do this, I used the one click unrevoked method and am just wondering how to undo it if i want to? I have seen many diff thing but not a deff answer to this.

i want to unroot and i don't know how i rooted using unrevoked 3 and don't c anything special about it i know custom kernals and roms i could care less can some 1 plz just post a link to unroot or tell me how and will it delete anything on my phone

I thought it was suppose to take me to the clockworksmod. Maybe I'm confused, anyone else had this issue? Am I missing something here?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the thread that has a guide to rooting with unrevoked 3 it states that you should have a 2gig available on the sd card, but also states if you have less than 4 gigs available you must format. Is it ok then to format the card if its only 2gigs to being with and root it that way? Sorry sounds confusing, I'm just wondering if 2gigs is enough.

I know that with old root methods on other droids (e.g., Droid Eris), that rooting required installing a custom ROM at the same time.So does unrevoked wipe the phone and install a custom rooted rom? Or if you run revoked 3.1, are you simply left with a rooted phone, that's still running the stock Android Sense 2.1?

Some of the stuff I have been reading online have said that in order to get the update, an unrooted phone is needed. So, I've been trying to figure out the best way to unroot my phone! All of the methods I've seen require wiping the phone in order to unroot it (ie. Root & Unroot your Droid Incredible now! | Gadgets DNA) Is there a different way to unroot the phone without wiping it back to the stock Incredible ROM?

View 6 Replies View RelatedNo immediate plans to but does anyone know how to? I assume delete superuser.apk su and busybox. Was there an original version of su that got overwritten? The only other dx we have that isn't rooted is a hundred miles away but i could try to fish su out of it and check the attributes on it. Anyone ponder this yet? May not be necessaryto do as froyo may wipe anyway. Then again birdman says 2.2 is patched and our 2.1 exploit doesn't work. Meaning an ota from vzw will lock us out.

I don't use root for much of anything. I am not overclocked, ShootMe is probably the only app I actually use regularly and the leaked 2.2 is way too buggy for me to keep on the phone. I currently have the updated radio via the leaked 2.1 OTA and my phone is rooted. I assume that I can't just apply the 2.2 OTA, but I am wonder how far I will need to revert. I'd like to lose as little data as possible from my phone, am I just SoL?

I am not using any extra apps that i could not use, nor the wonderful homepages. How can i set the HomePages look like others'? My look just like the unrooted phone. I wanna have huge clock, but i cannot find any of them after i rooted my phone.

Since i am a complete newb to phone hacking and currently see no benefit for myself to having it rooted i want to revert back to non root. How do i do this?
